Cosine laughed at their excitement, the world always seemed like a more interesting place when you were with children.
"They're for fortune telling." She explained, "It's called Omikuji. You can try." She reached for the box that held little stickes and shook it carefully until one came out.
"Cae this one is for you. Take it." She smiled and then did the same for Kyrie. "Then we need to find the numbers."

 Caelia knew how this went, so she would fish out her stick quiickly. "I got five !" She couldn't remember which one she had gotten last time. Probably a different one.
"Which one did you get, Ky ?"

Fortune telling? That sounded cool, Kyrie thought and watched her mother shake the canister until a stick started to come out. She watched her sister take it, then she quickly took the next one.
"Eight! Where is eight?" she asked, looking to the drawers and trying to find the number one to start at.

"Well well, five and eight, fiiive and eight." Cosine spotted the numbers immediately, she pulled out the five drawer and took a recycled piece of paper, she then did the same with eight and crouched down to the level of the girls.
"Now, let me see. Five, oh! that's a good fortune. You will travel, and home life is good. Your lucky colour is red and your lucky day is the seventeenth." She handed Caelia the fortune and moved on to Kyrie's "Oooh a veery good fortune. Your travel will be excellent and you will visit many places, your home life is good, everything is happy aaaand your lucky colour is blue and your lucky day is the sixteenth."

That forture made Caelia quite happy. She liked red ! Red was a very lovely color, and that it was lucky made it even better. And blue did fit Kyrie a lot, too. And traveling would be fun ! Maybe that meant she could bug daddy to take her along somewhere again.
"You should pick one too, mom !" Her mommy's fortune was bound to be extra amazing, right ?

Kyrie looked to her sister as her mother approached them with little slips of paper. Listening wide-eyed to her sister's fortune, she turned her attention to her mother as she told her her fortune.
That sounded awesome!
She loved seeing new things and she loved the color blue.
"Hah! My lucky number is before your lucky number," she teased her sister and then nodded in agreement. She wanted to hear her mother's fortune as well.

Cosine laughed and reached out for the box of sticks.
"They were both equally good fortunes." She smirked as she shook box and reached for the stick that was coming out the bottom. "Hmm, 2." She studied it for a moment. "Interesting." That matched the tarot card from earlier. The goddess opened the corresponding box and took out a piece of paper.
"Huh, interesting." She said to herself and held it up for the girls to see ... it was blank.

"Yeah, well, mine is bigger !" Caelia stuck out her tongue at her sister, clearly unfazed by the teasing she was receiving.
Two ! What would be on the paper ? Caelia blinked, however, when her mother showed them the blank paper. "Uh. Is that supposed to be like that, mommy ?"

Kyrie laughed and clacked her beak at her sister, then turned her attention back to their mother. When she showed them the blank fortune, she tilted her head to the side and nodded in agreement with Cae's question.
"Did they forget to write something?" she asked.

Cosine looked at the paper and smiled at Kyrie.
"They must have forgotten to. It seems my future is an open book." She winked and folded the paper to tuck into her bag. "Shall we go inside and take a look?"

"Oh, maybe." That was a lot of little papers to write, after all. There were so many boxes, and she knew that there was a paper in all of them !
"Or maybe they decided to prank you." Caelia laughed. "Yeah, let's go !"

Kyrie giggled at her sister's musings, then bounced on the balls of her feet.
"Yes! I want to see more!" she declared and reached up to take her mother's hand firmly in her own to try to start dragging her forward.

Cosine smirked at Caelia's logic and looked down at her.
"Trick, maybe they wanted to trick me, that's a much nicer word than prank." She replied, moving sideways a little as Kyrie started to drag her. "I'm coming, calm down." She laughed and led the pair of them into the temple. The entrance hall had plain marble floors and walls. It was simple and understated. To promote focus. She led them into the main hall, it was hexagon shaped like the entrance, though much larger, the roof was glass so the light shone through creating a bright space with columns round the edge. In the middle was a large circle with lines in a maze like pattern. X
Around the edges of the pattern there were stone benches for people to sit on and on each side of the hexagon a door leading to different rooms.
"This is a Labyrinth." Cosine declared pointing to the pattern on the floor. "Not like Mystery's, but a Labyrinth none the less.

"Maybe Tien helped !" Caelia laughed. That wouldn't surprise her at all.
The first hall was quite boring, in Augury's opinion, but the labyrinth caught her attention as soon as they entered that room, and she dashed ahead to walk along the lines. "It's fun !" She grinned, hoping to goad her sister along. "The kitty says I can go visit his later."

Kyrie's attention had been drawn upwards. Holding her mother's hand, she tilted her head way, way, way back and admired the glass ceiling above them. She loved it. It was like home and it made her feel free. She liked that feeling a lot. Blinking at her sister's exclamation, she turned her blue eyes back to floor level and watched her begin to twist and turn across the floor.
"I want to try!" she exclaimed and rushed forward to start wobbling after her sister as she concentrated on placing her feet directly one in front of the other. "Why do you have a labyrinth Momma?" she asked, glancing briefly over to her.
