Here he was trying to let her leave, and she had to ruin it by not leaving. Ruin was, perhaps, the wrong word.
Make his efforts futile? Sure. In a good way.
He kissed her back, smiling widely. Well, it had taken a great deal of effort to let go of her, and now she was back again.
"I... I'll look into it then, Zuri" he said her name as though he was invoking something special and precious. He really couldn't take his eyes off her. Everything about her seemed to hold his gaze. He lifted a hand to her face, feeling the smooth line of her jaw.
"... I wish you didn't have to go yet..." his eyes widened. "Oh! I... I, uh, had an idea. You have to g-go somewhere, right? W-well, the things I have to do... They don't need to be done right now" and avoiding Reshel sounded like a wonderful idea, "S... so, if you wanted... I could walk there with you."
Then we don't have to leave each other for a little while longer

Zuri snuggled her face into his hand. Her handsome Biroki, hers and hers alone. And soon they would be living together, and then everyone would know it! When he offered to walk her home she smiled. "Yes, I must get home to help my mother. Both Belle and I would love the company." she said as she laced her arms through his.
"If you want I could also ask around about moving? About where it would be best to have a home." she mused, more talking to herself then him really. Already she had so many thoughts of things to put in their home, their room. She blushed slightly at the thought. Their room. Maybe she would go hunting for a good pelt to keep them warm. She could always just buy one, but then again it was always much more meaningful if you made it yourself. Yes, she would go hunting soon, and maybe look for some dye among other things to make the pelt into a wonderful blanket.

"Mmm... no" he kissed her again, "I t-told you, Zuri, my fire-blossom" he murmured, suddenly feeling very comfortable- right when he had settled on leaving. "I'll handle the asking part. You" he couldn't help it- he kissed her again- "... just don't worry about that part."
But she had to go to help her mother, and he had to go to help his mother and gather some medicinal herbs, and he was at least going with her for a while so- as he told his subconcious- it should stop complaining.
He pulled her close- so what if it brought them both off balance? He just liked being close to her.
"Well. I-if Belle doesn't mind..." he said, holding the hut door open for Zuri and belle to exit, "Then I will go with you."
If he could hold off the urge to just find a nearby tree, move to it, and kiss her some more. The errands for her mother were urgent and... when the house was done... they could do that all they wanted. And he wouldn't have to be shy about it.
Oh who was he kidding. He'd be shy about everything anyway. His fingers met hers and laced with them.
"Well, lets go then." he said to her, smiling in the filtered Jahuar sunlight.

Belle and Zuri exited the hut, Zuri as close to Biroki as they could while still being able to walk. Their hands were laced and Belle trailed behind them as they walked. She wished that she lived further away, to prolong their little walk, but unfortunately too soon they were at her mother's place.
She moved to kiss him again. "Okay, I will leave it up to you. But if you need any help just let me know. I guess I'll start my own little project." she teased with a smile. With another kiss she let go of his hand. "Till we see each other again, let it not be too long." she said with a laugh.

Parting himself from her was always difficult, but as he looked into her luminous eyes it felt harder than usual to bring his lips away and untwine his fingers from hers. He would have been satisfied if he could just look at her, if they could breathe the same air, but they both had to part ways.
It was with great reluctance that he drew away and allowed her to leave."Mmm. Let it not be long at all." he said quietly, having to keep from drawing her in for another kiss. No. He had to let her go do the things she needed to do. There would be another time. There would be another time, and sometime- sometime soon, the way construction was going- they would be together. Alone. In their own place.
"Until later, Zuri" he said quietly, "My love"
And then he left her to her chores.
He had his own to do. He stretched his fingers and hands, feeling as though fire ran through his veins. He was pumped- Ready to go. They would have a home. They would have a place to themselves.
He was all fired up and ready to go. He would build it. No matter what he had to do to have it ready. He would build it.
For Zuri.
