The hard, leatherish skin of the creature seemed punctured so many times, it now had freckles. Streams of blood ran down in tiny rivulets, which were only visible when it started to crawl out of the water. It dug long talons deep into the mud as it drug itself up, turning its massive, pointed head at the biggest target - the giant red dragon - and chomping down into his side. It rose, dragon and all, shaking the mighty beast before throwing it away. Claws rose to find new subjects to destroy. They swiped at the plague doctor and the valkyrie, baring its now bloody teeth with the promise of more pain. Boss HP: 169

Jericho noticed he had a passenger now, but it didn't matter too much he needed to focus on using his bulk to try and body block for some of the others. With a roar as he was hit rather hard. Enough that he was lifted right on out of the water before being tossed aside like a toy. That was not something he thought was quite possible considering how be he was. When he hit the water again, he scrambled back to the surface. That took quite a bit out of him, but he wasn't done here yet.
"Keep at it! I got your backs!" he shouted towards the others.

Kettil made a face as the creature rampaged about and pretty much tore into Jericho before it went about going for others as well. This was not a very nice monster.
He managed spot his Owl swooping about as if simply waiting for a signal. Kettil let out a call to get her attention. As she swooped closer toward him that was when the magic happened. A lightly glowing illusionary outline of an owl surrounded him as he then lunged forward with sudden added momentum and gave the troublesome creature a good ol' fashioned fist pummeling. It almost looked like he was flying ... While semi-submerged in water.
Still, it was a neat effect, right?

Malodore staggered under the blow, but recovered quickly with a wide sweep of its wings. It looked like Jericho had taken the brunt of that hit, and it quickly called up its FEAR, the way Cricket had taught it, seeking healing. This was not the gentle, slow healing of the infirmary - this was brute force. But effective. HP: 44 Action: Healing! Target: Jericho Healed: 12HP + 3 learned healbuff + tripled for Tank = 45HP

One downside of throwing her spear, was that right after, she was immediately defenseless until she re-summoned it… So after she threw it, she was caught by surprise as the claw came down and tore at her. “ Jack damn it!” The ghoul hissed, feeling a large chunk of her shield crackle. She was quick to re-summon her spear after, and also wasted no time in murmuring a chant under her breath, causing her spear to glow with a purple aura. “Much obliged!” She called out to Jericho as he got her covered, and she returned to the task at hand...which was rather stupid, she couldn't have distracted herself...because her FEAR attack missed. Riley was bucked off of Jericho when the monster grabbed him, and her wings flapped hard, glowing as they kept her aloft. They continued to glow, brighter and brighter, surging with energy that welled up from within her, until it all soared brilliantly-
Four inches to the left of the monster's head.
Hel. Riley teased as she floated to the ground. Someone needs to get us some glasses.HP: 50 Damage: Battle cry MISS (0) Target: Boss

 Now that the monster was on land, every appendage twisted and turned in an effect to fight off the intruders. It slammed its tail into the plague doctor, and focused once more on trying to bite the big red dragon that - to it - seemed the greatest threat. But the flash of light blinded it, and it reared up with a mighty roar, thrashing wildly. The claws dug into the floating mindflayer, snatching her up and sending her flying. She soared into the air, and splashed down into the shallow waters of the lakes edge, hitting the ground too soon with a sickening thud. Boss HP: 161

Kettil's movements followed the creature but he made sure to try and stay out of hitting range, and Endzela was never far from him. When he moved to hit the Owl made a screeching noise to distract it so he could get a clear hit in.
A fist made an impact but it was a bit off center. It wasn't his hardest hit but it would do.
"This is a real challenge!" Kettil sounded far too pleased.

Hel made a rather exasperated face at Riley. “No.” She pouted. “We do not need glasses!” The thought of wearing glasses even…awful. Just awful. She just imagined being teased relentless by Mac…no thanks. Wanting to prove that she could hit something, Hel unleashed her other offensive FEAR. A spell circle appeared underneath the ghoul’s feet, and she outstretched her hand towards the creature, summoning forth a stream of ravens which barreled into the beast. The ghoul grinned wickedly, and turned her head, only to find Riley not where she had last been. “…Oh s**t! Riley!” She called out. “Hang in there!” Quote: HP: 35/50 DMG: Lvl 1 Swift Strikes x 2 mod = 20 Target: Boss

Malodore actually did fall this time, a hard crash that rattled its bones. It saw Riley crash too, and reached out its FEAR with a strangled cry, but it felt the FEAR dissipate into the air long before it reached her. Evidently there was a limit to how far away it could be and still heal effectively... HP: 35 Action: Healing! Target: Riley Healed: .....gdi Mal

Riley sat back up, looking no worse for wear but feeling like a truck had just run over her. She shrugged the soreness out of her shoulders, and stretched her sore back out, before standing up again.
I don't know, She murmured in reply to Hel. I think I could have used some glasses right about then.
It was time to get back to old habits. Riley cracked her neck, and surged forward, leaping onto the monster and diving all of her tentacles into its flesh with as much force as possible. She didn't need glasses for brute force.

And now the monster was revealed. Jericho snarled at the sight of it. He had a thought to try and take a bite out of it, but for now, he worked on keeping his team safe. He felt a nice boost coming from Malodore, which was very much helpful.

The sounds that roared out of its giant gaping mouth vibrated the air with heavy pressure. It was not happy that all five of the insects that were attacking it, still lived. It wanted to devour them, one by one, and quickly. The dragon was once more attacked with the full brute force of all of its teeth, snapping down on its body violently. The most annoying insect was swatted at with open claws, slamming down to step on Hel and smush her into the ground. It then picked her up, and threw her at one of the others. Kettil was faced with seeing Hel fly for the first time since she'd lost her wings. Boss HP: 131

Kettil believed Hel could fly.
He believed she could spread her non-wings and touch the sky.
He just didn't believe that she'd be crashing into him while she did so.
Kettil let out a small gasp as he caught her and tried to keep her upright and standing so she could leap back in the fray. It didn't matter that the impact had slammed them into the wall and that it hurt a lot, he could recover, "Stay in one piece, Freya'll yell at me if we come out of this broken~."
The boil let Hel gather herself as he ran forward to attack again with a much harder hit.

Malodore got to its feet, protected by the curve of Jericho's great body. " Grazie," it called out to the dragon, then winced as it caught sight of Hel's "flight". Once again it reached out its FEAR - it wanted to tend to Riley, but its instincts told it that Hel was in greater need. HP: 35/50 Action: Healing! Target: Hel Amount Healed: 3 +3 healbuff bonus = 6HP
