The cat sat down at the 'puddle's edge, just missing the missile but oblvious to it as it continued bapping at the ball of yarn.
"Meow...." Finally it managed to bap the yarn sending it further into the water, towards the players and creating a nice tidal wave that would sweep over them all.

Gamma ducked with the wave, it was only a pond and his weight was a lot harder to move than that. Moving on as the wave hit him, he rushed over to the other pair.
"Citizens! Citizens!" Gamma shouted in a single computerized Gaian voice as he approached "Return to your homes it is dangerous here!" Stopping before them both, shotgun held in his left hand; not pointed at anyone.
"Leftenant Colonel Geofferies, Gaian Military; special forces." He lied deftly, hoping that the lie would make them overlook that he was a 7' foot cyclops with a big metal jaw and tusks.

opaj foresaw the oncoming wave. He jumped back and away from the water, standing between the shoreline and Gregory. "I do this because you seem trustworthy- don't prove me wrong."
Taking his blade in both hands, he held it close to the ground, standing firm as the wave approached. "Oogata Suisashi," he intoned, drawing out the power of the legendary Sword of Rain.
"Kaiou-Gari!"
He swung the blade upward with all his might just as the wave closed in, causing the wall of water to part, all the way up, by a good six feet- if all things went well, it would pass completely on either side of the two warriors, affording them an opportunity to get to dry ground.
opaj whinced as the wrappings around his torso began to stain a crimson red. He hadn't intended to use that much blood so early in the game...

Gregory saw the tidal wave coming and realized that he had just enough time to cast something useful. He focused on the ground.
Den Cordov Med Klend
The ground shimmered and then seemed to move forward in a wave, forming a half dome of rock in front and around him that shielded himself from the wave. He didn't get a chance to see how Opaj faired before his earthen shield was engulfed in water. As the wave returned to the lake, he turned to watch the ... man... that had been making his way towards them. He resisted the urge to laugh as "Colonel Geoffries" made his speech and decided to play along, since he was unprepared to deal with the weaponry the man was packing.
"What's going on here!?" Gregory shouted, trying to sound scared.

"Please leave at once, this is dangerous!" Gamma continued in a shout, computerized voice carrying the Gaian easily.
"This is a military matter, we're here to protect Gaia from these things that keep happening." He added, gesturing to his partner and the Gaian Military truck across the lake.
Psychopathic to the point of no conscience, he was blind to the consequences of lying, and thus spoke in full confidence. Not that the voice synthesizer could show emotion one way or the other.

Cursing as his shot missed he had not time to consider firing again as a tidal wave came up from the lake. A wall of water was driving in upon him tell he activated the jump system in his armours legs and propelled him into the air where he stabalized his flight with a series of short rocket bursts. In mid air for the time he reaquired his target and aimed for the large mass of the body, along the spinal cord from above. Firing down the force of the weapon rocked him slightly and his jets flared to compensate. Another anti tank round whistled through the air.

And then the kitty saw something else catch his eye. A bug...no it was Gammu. With a roar louder then any mountain lion it pounced the flying man intending on swarming it with it's entire weight.
"MEOW!!"

((And... I'm uncertain how I should proceed. Did Gregory still make the shield of earth when opaj jumped in front of him and said that stuff? And without knowing the state of the water, it's hard to respond to Gamma's statements... sweatdrop ))

He had expected this to happen, but not with the sudden forcefulness. With the massive animal attacking him his mind screamed to get out of their, the rockets burst into action and he felt the blood drain to his feet from the G-force. Narrowly missing the crashing weight of the animal it was a moment as he oreintated himself once more and fired another shell down from above.
