::He was almost mystified as to why she hadn't used her gun yet. Ryo sighed between a pair of pants. He was exhausted. He had never had such a workout from a single opponent in quite sometime. Sure there had been the fight between that one Imperial officer and his modded Crystal Saurer, but that zoid wasn't nearly as fast as this hybrid. Wiping the sweat from his brow, he glanced over to Mark's Hound Soldier, almost envious of its undamaged condition. His Fox on the other hand wasn't in any mortal condition, but there was a relatively large gash on the right hind leg, which sporatically sent visible volts of electricity from it. Also the black and green zoids tail had been burnt and was slightly twisted to the left. Ryo shook his head only to see the hybrid making its way around from the smokescreen. Sighing he nodded to Mark before charging back towards the darkness, the Vulcan spinning sideways and taking a small burst of controlled fire towards the hulking zoid. Slipping into the black abyss, He spun the zoid around, leaning down into a crouched position and readying the Vulcan as well. Smirking he liked the new idea.::
Shes quite skittish about the darkness, if I can draw another shot from the cannon again, maybe I can get a good shot in while shes exposed....
::Sighing he waited in the darkness, the Vulcan stretched out from the crouched zoids back, hidden in the darkness, the multi-sensor allowing Ryo to see every move Eli made as clear as day.::

Found you!- Ryo disappeared into the darkness, the image of his zoid disappeared and was replaced by a... Hound soldier? Eli quickly pulled back on her thrusters and slammed on the leg anchors, turning her Crystal Breaker slightly as she slide to a halt two to three meters away from the Hound Soldier. She glanced at her Breaker's radar, Ryo's blip disappeared when entering the darkness, and it hasn't reappeared yet, so he must be in there waiting. Chewing on her lip, she decided to contact the Hound Soldier's pilot, pressing the audio/video com-link, Eli cleared her throat. Shots of vulcan shot out and pelted her skeletal pincer.
"Hello? I'm sorry, but could you move your Zoid back a bit please? I don't want to hit it..." She smiled nervously as she released the com switch.
Checking back to the radar, Ryo hasn't moved. He's got to be waiting for me.. or that he's aware of me not wishing to go back in there... maybe I'll just shoot through the smokescreen... The temperture gauge said 27%, perfect. Eli was about to start the preparations of firing the cannon before she paused. Wait.. I'm too close to the darkness... he could very well be ready to pounce me while I set up... She turned her Crystal Breaker again and began to circle the smokescreen cloud at a 'slow' pace, then kept a straight line and pushed the thrusters to 320km/h, and got a good 500 meters away. Gripping the controls tightly, she did as sharp a turn as possible, quickly deploying the leg anchors to put a halt to the movement.
Eli commenced in the preparations of firing the particle cannon. The Crystal Breaker growled happily as it straightened it's metalic spine. Vents opened up as she aimed at the smokescreen. Hopefully that Hound Soldier pilot moved... she quickly shook the thought. Energy gathered in the Breaker's jaws. She smiled, pressing down on the trigger to releash the powerful particle blast straight towards the edge of the smokescreen. Eli wanted to make sure she hit him, so she slowly sweeped the Breaker's aim across the smokescreen.

Where did this girl get the right to order him around? With a sigh Mark did as he was told. Pulling back on the controls a bit the Hound Soldier jumped back. It was still in perfect condition, unlike the other two Zoids. The thought of how long they were fighting crept into his head. Maybe they had been at this four a hour? Well if they were, the damage wasn't that bad. Must have gone on four about a half an hour then. Still a long time for a fight. How many pages would this battle be written down? And would his leader win? The match seemed kind of obvious of who would usaully when.
But not with the Shadow Fox. It was still going, and still attacking. The Crystal Breaker was attacking, but the whole having to wait to shoot thing must have got annoying. The perfect time to attack. He wondered how long it would take for the Female Pilot to attack. Then it happened. A large sound. The veiwing of a beam soaring through the sky. A particle cannon was it? Well, he could onnly hope Ryo was alright.
It wasn't as if she could see him . . .
But Mark could.
Hitting a rather small red button with his index finger the skull of the Hound shook to life. Sensors flicked on and the front screen changed. Sundenly he could see a image of something behind thesmoke. The heat signature from the Zoid. Now to check on things.

::Maybe it was the fatigue. In fact it had to be the fatigue. Ryo's timing was slightly off as he reacted to the particle cannons blast. Growling lightly he punched the controls hard as he tried to dart away from the beams path, the glistening shot trailing his Shadow Fox quite closely. He had just made it out of the smoke and was on his way to saftey when something happened. The Fox, probably from the previous injury seemed to lag behind, the one damaged leg giving out from under the zoid. Ryo's eyes widened as the Shadow Fox struggled to regain control of its weak leg. But by then it was practically too late. Another blast seared the Fox's armor just moments before Ryo gained control again, jumping the Fox way off to the right. A huge smoking chunk of armor was now missing from the zoids right side in the midsection. Ryo was very lucky to not CSF there. The zoid was teetering on the edge. Snarling to himself as he charged off towards the dune to come back around his eyes spotted the new zoid not far from Mark. Smirking he had a new assignment for his rookie team member. Opening the com in mid sprint Ryo grimaced.::
I have good faith that you can take out that hybrid. Thats your first assignment. Let that pilot know what you're capable of Mark, don't let up at any given moment.
::With a firm nod Ryo ended the transmission and made his way towards the big zoid on his multi-sensor. Clenching his jaw he adjusted the Shadow Fox in preperations for the SLC. Pursing his lips he brought the zoid into the smokescreen. Stalking the Crystal Breaker from behind for a moment, he jumped the zoid again once again trying to latch on to the back of the huge hybrid with charged claws glowing vividly.::

Now why did he have to go attacking? It wasn't really much of a fair fight. The hybrid had no real weapons and wasn't to much faster. As long as he kept it from going full speed. Really though, where there a reason for this? Maybe Ryo just wanted to see his skills? Oh, he had skills. He'd show them. Make sure to tear the opponent apart. Well, the Zoid anyhow. Killing the Pilot would be dumb. What worried him was Ryo. His leader didn't seem to be doing to well. Armor blasted off and leg damage. It wouldn't be to long until one of them fell. Maybe Mark would finish by then?
Sighing he turned the Zoid around. Facing his opponent. All he had to do was get close enough. Then use his main weapon to pick off the armor from close range. Not to close, but close enough. It wouldn't take that much. Just as long as the Zoid didn't get to top speed. Just had to stall it for a bit.
To look cool, Mark hit a few commands and the lances fell down to 'attack position'. It just looked so cool. And it covered some area to get closer to the opponent. Making up for some of the speed distance. Flicking a few more commands the Zoid ran toward the hybrid, shooting three of the Quad missiles.

Beep Beep Beep.
The cockpit jumped to life, flashing a red light of warning. Scrambling around, looking for her radar, she saw three flashing lights traveling towards her. No, twelve, and they were quickly gaining speed with each passing second.
"s**t!"
Lauren pulled back her blades and she twirled her Zoid around, hitting the ground running to avoid the on coming missiles. Traveling down the dune, she picked up speed with each swipe of sand the beast picked up under it's claws. Pushing the controls, she urging her baby to go faster, faster. Swooping around, the BP sunk the side of it's claws into the sand, making a clean sweep into the next direction, turning again slightly so she was headed straight for the Hound. With a roar, Lauren, the "Black Nexus", lowered her Zoid's head, causing the stream line effect to be set in motion in her Zoid's body. Faster, faster. Now, a few meter's away, she jumped. Not high above it, but close to it, landing safely on the other side where it continued to run, circling around again to watch the enemy Zoid closely from it's side.

What was with this Pilot? All she managed to do was to get close. And the Zoid wasn't to close. It was perfect to use his weapon he was supposed to save for later. Maybe this little fight wouldn't be to long. The speed of the Zoid was amazing. Not that he couldn't have moved from the Zoid. But, it was in perfect position now. Oh yes, oh so perfect. Just wait a bit. Get clear aim. Make sure to be calm. Turning the Zoid to face the opponent he grasped a few keys.
Then he hit them, watching the buttons go into the small board they were equipped to. It was time to fire the big guns. The Hound's chest came to live and the shells started to put themselves in the right places. Yes, this was really well for him.
He fired the Triple Impact Cannons.
Three shells flew through the air. In case he missed, the semi-automatic guns would make sure that he hit his mark at least once. The great things about the shells were that they exploded on contact. To make sure he didn't get hit, the Hound jumped back as it fired.
The goal was to tear off the armor.
Then attack with lances at the un-protected part of Zoid.

((-bows- I hope I can join; I'll delete my post if it is unwanted. <3
A shriek resounded from high above, and a flash of bright colors streaked the sky, light bouncing off of the Jerk's wings. He was late, so very late--he had missed the team leaving, and now there were rumors that there was a new member with them. The aerial zoid swooped downward, almost skimming the ground and sending torrents of sand spraying on either side of it. Ven was leaned over the controls, teeth gritted as he searched for Ryo. There--he looked in definite bad shape.
There was a massive zoid nearby--a Crystal Breaker, and from the looks of it, it had been smashing up Ryo pretty good. Hurriedly flicking on the com link, Ven established connection, looking worried. "Ryo, you okay?"
The Jerk dove once more, opening fire with the guns on its neck to attempt to distract the Breaker, angling those wings so that it might be blinded by the sporadic flashes. One more hit and Ryo could be down for good; these guys were enemies, that was for sure...Ven had noted that there was a Hound Soldier nearby, also firing its weaponry at the others...wait, others? Yes, there was a Zeek Saix, though he wasn't sure what type. It too, was an enemy though. Growling under his breath, Ven focused his assault upon the Breaker, prepping himself to use the Rainbow Jerk's razor-sharp wings to slice at it if things got ugly.

((Meeerrr... Kenji, the smokescreen isn't behind Eli...))
She watched him as he disappeared in the dunes, noting the damage she inflicted on him. Thank god Ryo's talented... Eli was partly relieved and readied herself for any of his upcoming attacks with the Breaker's shielded pincer as she watched him cloak himself in the smokescreen 500 meters or so infront of her.
Explosions. She quickly checked her radar and noted that Lauren has engaged in combat.. probaly with that Hound Soldier she saw. Silently, she wished her friend luck but was soon interupted by the pelting of shots. "What the..." Eli checked her radar again and saw something zoom in, she looked up herself to get a clear view. It's that guy's Rainbow Jerk... Ven was it... why's he attacking... She thought, then answered herself with a, Duh.. I'm attacking Ryo... and checked her temperature, 69%. She's going to have to wait a bit to get another good shot like the last one.
With a quick flip of switches, she attempted to open an audio only com-link to the Jerk. "Please don't interrupt my battle..."

((::Wipes dust off of thread.:: ))
::Ryo panted slightly in the cockpit, his mouth ajar as he glanced about the cockpit as if searching for an answer to this monstrosity of a problem. He was sick of this fight. He knew he couldn't last forever, the Fox was weakening quickly. One more solid shot could potentially CSF the zoid. Glancing to his multi-sensor, he sighed. He opened the com-link, patching the connection direclty to Ven, the Sound Baffle system going into effect, encrypting his message so that even if Eli or her friend tried to listen in, they'd only hear a mess of static.::
Ven, thanks for the help, but I think I have this handled... I'm pretty sure I can subdue her... just keep back for a bit... if things get too out of hand I'll let you know... and by the way thats our new team member in the Hound Soldier... Mark's his name.
::With a nod he closed the connection and diverted his attention back to teh Crystal Breaker. Sighing he brought the Fox around, facing the Breaker, a small snarl escaped from the mouth of the Fox. He once again flipped open the com-link this time opening a channel to Eli.::
Is this really what you want Eli?
::The Vulcan leveled itself up with the Crystal Breaker in anticipation. He wasn't quite ready to make a move, but just in case she truly was in kill mode, he would not be a sitting duck.::

Ven kept a close eye on the two fast zoids below, almost distracted when the Saix charged, weaving in a frantic pattern so it could attempt to avoid the thundering bullets of the Hound Soldier. Suddenly, a com-link was established, showing a haggard, but pretty girl--the girl that Ven had seen talking with Ryo in the bar. "Um," He started, feeling the need to apologize but still explain why he was attacking. Then, Ryo connected, causing the blue-haired male to lean forward slightly. "Gotcha. Mark, you said?" Too late, the connection had been closed. Returning his attention to Eli, Ven nodded slightly, trying not to look embarassed. "Sorry ma'am."
The Rainbow Jerk let out keened loudly, then veered off to the battle between the Hound Soldier and the Saix. He wouldn't interrupt, but he would observe, keeping close to Ryo in case things got ugly. He wouldn't establish a com-link with Mark just yet; the other was obviously busy with the Saix. Feeling frustrated and useless, the Jerk circled high overhead, keeping a careful eye on everyone in case someone should need another set of guns on their side.

[ZOMG. I SO DID NOT FORGOT THIS. Short post~]
Mark looked at the Zoid and blinked. Wow. It dodged all those what ever number of bullets that flew at it. The girl must have had a lot of training or something. But, she still had no weapons. Just a few blades and speed. It didn't matter how fast she was. If he got a good hit in, she'd be down for the count. Not that he cared much. All she was doing was trying to get close. Fine, he could fight close. What ever, it just made it easier for him. And if she did try to hit him with those stupid blades... The lances would be in her Zoid before she could process what happened.
Following suit, he weaved and went forward. There was enough space between them so he could pick up some speed. They were close now, which was perfect. As long as he copied her moves he would be fine. It wasn't to much faster. Firing the Triple Impact Cannons as he went, there was no way she could dodge all of them.

((>.>; XD Due to Lauren's and Marks' battle is separate... I CAN POST! XD))
The com-link to Ven closed and Eli smiled, glad he got her message and didn't seem to have a problem with it. The battle was tiring and quite the mess for her, the poor blue Breaker was missing one of its claws and a shield. Plus, the constant worry of injuring Ryo himself weighed on her mind.
As if on cue, a com-link suddenly opened up and partially startled Eli. She was greeted by an equally exhausted face belonging to her dear Ryo. His question made her think for a bit, grey eyes trained on green ones. Almost missing the fact that the Fox's vulcan was trained on the Breaker. He could get good clean shots with that before she could bring the shield on it, but then again he was close?
"Not sure anymore..." Eli had to admit, she was inlove with him. Did she really want to destroy him so...? She mentally hit herself, reminding her of her mission. Closing her eyes, she thought for a brief span of seconds and opened them again with an answer, "All I know is, that I would prefer you alive and not my enemy..." she trailed off a bit with a slight blush, unable to think up anything else to say at the moment. Though she basically yielded, she still had her guard up. Fingers barely lingering around the controls.
