"Wow, so according to your theory, whomever is responsible for killing the Council is the same person as this mysterious 'O' person, but somehow, micraculously, all the higher ups are okay with it and are on the same page? You better not underestimate some of your superiors sweetie, although that does bring up an interesting point...." Instead of explaining she simply smiles and continues to type on her cell phone, rather rapidly.

Open discussionDeryk didn't have anything about their proof whether there were no traces of fear. There very well could have been he supposed, and Solia had also brought up something interesting. He just wasn't really sure. Then again, he wasn't sure about much here. "Speaking of insanity... don't suppose... could have been a murder suicide? Awhile go, one council member did kill himself... never did find out why either. Don't really think this what happened but.. possible? Maybe."

"It is a mystery! But I don't think all the higher ups are on the same page... At best, they're reading the same book... but probably not the same edition or by the same publisher. Oh oh wait was I supposed to slam my hands on the table like Ace Attorney? Shoot!"
Missed opportunities aside, Solia mused further.

"Hmm." Jerry pursed his lips, still not convinced his theory wasn't far off. Even so, Solia's encyclopedic knowledge of crime psychology took him off guard. Deryk brought up the suicide again, and his shoulders slouched a bit. It had been a bad period when Jerry had seen that swinging corpse. He remembered rumors- had it really been suicide? He had never thought enough about it to find out. There had been a lot of Killzone in his life between then and now, and most associated thoughts with that rope and that neck had been carefully bottled with the rest of his bad thoughts. It could very well be connected, though, that was true. His head was hurting.

Saya's head hurt from all these discussions. But her mind refused to slow down, especially in the heated tension of the room. She worked off of what Deryk said, recalling a far off manga storyline she had read once.
Involving council members as well.
" ..Maybe.. the council members killed each other? That's not to say there isn't an instigator behind it indirectly but maybe it wasn't as direct as it seems.. It's possible that what we're looking for isn't a direct murderer but an instigator? Somebody who might not have lifted a finger at all but could have sparked enough insanity or anger for this sort of.. incident..."
They had a lot of those emotions going around.
Saya wasn't quite sure what she was doing here, curling up her body instinctively.

[ OPEN DISCUSSION ] Jason couldn't help but smile at the way Solia was able to bring forth such interesting theories on the matter. It showed just how well she could do if she put her mind to it. However his smile soon faded at Sam's words. He didn't like the way she was talking. "Perhaps the culprit was trying to make it easier to work to his own agenda? He said. " Without a council to oversea the daily workings of Deus Ex, there would be less people to interfere with plans that may of been stopped due to lack of permission by the council."iStoleYurVamps I am directly responding 2 u

[ Open Discussion] Otto's head was held up by an arm he was leaning heavily on the table, his gaze lazily shifting from speaker to speaker. Bits of information went in, a lot went over his head. However, a certain subject nagged at him, and sure enough Ami called him out on it. "Nah, it weren't traumatic. Just gross." He shrugged and sat up a bit, furrowing his brows as he tried to recollect the day he found the council. "The bodies were badly decomposed. The smell was nasty, and all the blood was dried a long time before me or Sherry found them." He drawled as he spoke, "Some were slumped in their chairs, others were leanin' against the wall. One was right by the door when we opened it, and we kinda knocked it outta place.""I was lucky enough that I didn't have to do clean up duty. That was Sherry's share of the work that day."

Rep had been rather quietly listening the whole time, which for him was fairly rare given how infrequently he actually shut his damn mouth. He'd been mildly embarrassed at the constant reminders that he had come up against a piece of furniture he actually couldn't destroy or even dent but had resisted arguing that he hadn't actually tried - honest - because no one would buy that, half of them had been there at the time.
He did have his own theory though that he'd come up with during the Investigation. Aria had made her report and it had done nothing to assuage his anxieties, particularly her very cryptic comment regarding the council themselves, to him it sounded less like she was willing to bend to their rulings and work around them and more like she was willing to find ways to make them bend to him.
"I think it had something to do with Mist division." he piped up finally. "I spoke to Ceres and found out that the bastards were found while she and Bix were "dead", except they weren't. They came back. It was all really ******** weird, and I heard Lance and Aria had a hand in that s**t too."
He propped his chin on his hand, giving Otto a sidelong look.
"The fact the guys were rotting doesn't even exonerate the mutant duo. And I doubt there'd be fear traces left behind by a hunter weapon monster thing if it went sleep walking. Don't the weapons like run on our fear? Those gouges still could have been claws."
It was his theory and he was very determined to at least see it out, he wouldn't be happy till someone called Lance to the stand.

That's another idea?" Looking to Jason she felt half her brain melting a little bit. "Yeah." She was even sighing dreamily at him. Rep did make an interesting point. Kinda. " With the wards I dunno if a Halloweener-type could even vaguely get by undetected- but wasn't that whole stone thing caused by insanity? There is ambient insanity here, so it's possible that by the time tests were done, the lingering amounts had faded and simply filtered into what is always present."

He concentrated on Rep's point, which also had surprised him. He hadn't thought the REd Head would be so interested, but... That's right. Ceres and Bix... he had blocked that whole ordeal from his mind. It didn't do well to dwell over coming back from the dead. In all technicality, Jerry had as well, long long ago. " But the thing is, a Halloweener-type HAS gotten by before, undetected. This was before your time, Miss." He scowled, picking at his scars again. " Rep has a real good point- All that ambient Insanity around the place after that massive bird? It would be impossible to tell- but it had to be SOMETHING powerful- more powerful than your average hunter. At least in normal circumstances. Where had the Mists taken the er... not-quite-deads?"

"The bodies of Bix and Ceres were recovered from the crematory and moved to the old morgue and shelved while their weapons recovered enough to bring their bearers out of a comatose state. The amount of Insanity found in their weapons was enough to shock them into a sort of stasis. Rather than have a majority of the no-longer-present Council go through with their plans to exterminate a potential threat and let all that training go to waste, I had them moved and let them proceed thinking they had done their good deed for the day by destroying the wrong bodies." The division leader met the gaze of two particular hunters. "You're welcome, by the way. If you disagree with what I did, I can guarantee that you'll have plenty of other opportunities in the future to take the course you desire."

Rep gave Solia a very baffled stare. What he'd known of the trainee had been a very silly girl who he had talked with online who hadn't seemed to possess an enormous number of braincells. Being hit with so many complicated life terms made his head spin. He had to think about it for a second before he even replied to simply parse what she meant.
"Undetected? There's hardly like fear alarms riddled throughout the ******** building from what I gather. We've had intruders before, we could have had them again. And records disappear too. You are presuming like, what we know is the whole truth and no one's messed around with it. For all we know the footage could have been ******** with, mention of fear levels could have been ******** with. We are just hunters. I still say it's like a good chance it could have happened."
He finally got what she meant about insanity though. "Isn't erm. Insanity like. Broken fear? Like yeah, in a room with it, it would ******** it up or take it away. I dunno. That's life's domain. No mine." he shrugged. "And it could have happened before the mission but like, I dunno, portals dying was pretty ******** weird, even if it was just the house."
Jerry agreeing with him leant even more weight to Rep's theory in his opinion and he was about to say more when Aria herself spoke up. So there had been further deception of the council that day, but perhaps Aria hadn't been involved so much in the murder as preserving two hunters lives.
He still wondered why she bothered, they weren't her division after all.
"I still think if there was a lot of bullshitting and deceiving going on the person holding the surveillance is suspect." He hadn't spoken to Lance, he had no idea what the guy had to say as far as the footage.

Dakota had been quiet while the others had exchanged information and yet one point kept drawing him back to what Jerry was saying. Had anyone checked for traces of Insanity within the room? When Aria's form was doppleganged, she had been a creature of Halloween fused with a weapon of dues that had created the very first encounter of insanity that had been the bane of their life since then.
Food for thought should it be another halloweener in their midst, Especially if that halloweener was posing as one of their friends or supierors.
"I'd like to bring up the discussion of the table. Beyond the weapon mark and blood, while feeling over the logo of the facility, Saya and I discovered a hole that unfortunately..." POINTED STARE AT REP, "Didn't allow us further to see if the hole would open up a compartment or such. The handprint was spread downwards on the table, if their was a hidden compartment, what if the victim had hidden a clue inside the table?"
