Aisha glanced over at her apology and smiled a little. "It's okay. Not many people do want me around," she said matter of factly with a small shrug. "That must have been so hard to watch that happen. I can't even imagine," she said softly with sympathy. "How long ago was it?"

"I don't really know. Maybe a decade ... or a century. I was laying there on the floor alone for a long time." She smiled a little and washed the soap off her body. "I'm glad Cyrus gave me a change of heart. I would have worried about you and regretted my decision."

Aisha smiled, though more because didn't know how to react to what Elora was telling her than because she was happy. "I am glad he did too. I didn't know what I was going to do. I just knew that I could not go back with Maksym," she said as she looked down at her hands in her lap. "What was this place before it came to ruin?"

Elora looked around her and wondered whether she should tell the truth. She did not want her to think she was even more of a monster than she already did. "It was a home." She replied, "and a social club." Elora placed the soap down and shifted a little. "Can you help me wash my hair?"

Aisha smiled and looked around as she stood and walked over to her. "I bet it was really pretty to look at. You can see it in the bits and pieces. There are some really pretty details," she smiled as she dampened Elora's long hair. "How do you know Cyrus?" she asked, feeling much more comfortable now that Elora seemed a bit nicer and happier to have her around.

"A long, long time." She replied, closing her eyes as the warm water ran through her hair. It felt really, really nice. "We're bound to each other by fate." This she truely believed. He was her saviour and her guardian and perhaps her soul mate too.

Aisha processed that for a moment as she poured the water through Elora's hair, then picked up the soap to work up a lather. "Is Cyrus clockwork too?" she asked, thinking about what he had done to Maksym. It didn't seem possible, but then she would never have guessed it about Elora.

"No, he's not." She said softly through the water. "He is something else entirely. A real being, not crafted by man like me. He's a djinn, they are creatures of smoke and fire. Strong and loyal. He used to work for the man that ruled this city."

Djinn. She had heard of them from the gypsy family she had first been sold to. She would hide outside the caravan and listen to the mother tell her children stories. She had never believed that they would be real. "Where is the man that used to rule this city? Has he been lost like everyone else?"

"Yeah, he's been lost. I do not know where and I cannot remember when but he is gone like the rest of them. Though, we hope he will return. It's complicated."

Aisha listened as she worked the soap into a lather in her hair, taking her time to really work it in. "I think a lot of things in life are complicated," she smiled a little. "What is it like to be clockwork? It seems like there should be a way for you to use oil to help yourself. That's what is usually used when gears get stuck."

"Well, to me it feels normal of course. I seem to be able to do everything humans can. well, most everything. No little clockwork reproductions." She laughed a little. "But anything else. I don't know how I could use oil, I don't think drinking it would work."

Aisha laughed a little and picked up the cup she had been using to dampen her hair. "Yeah. You are able to eat and drink like us and it seems that that would mess you up inside. Whoever made you would have thought of that. They put too much thought into you to not," she mused as she began to rinse her hair. "I wonder if we could get it through your skin somehow. When we were in a city once, I saw a doctor with this poking thing and he was putting stuff into people."

Elora looked up through her wet hair and grinned. "Oh, like and injection. That might work." She mused, Cyrus would be able to find everything that they needed. "Good thinking Aisha. Right, now time to try and get into that dress."

Ai smiled broadly at her praise. She was really enjoying getting praised. It had been so long since she had heard it. "Yes. Let's get you dry," she smiled and rose to her feet to grab one of the massive towels. "Would you like for me to put your hair up too? I'm not very talented at it, but I bet I could figure something nice out," she offered, holding the towel up for her.
