The note had said trust no one, right? Easiest way to do that was interview the people she held closest. She knew their ticks, their nervousness. If Kat was hyped up on coffee, she would probably yield nothing, but if the girl was "sober" so to speak, it might be quick.
"Kat!" she said, "bumping" into the girl. "I've been meaning to talk to you. You don't know anything about the ... council incident, do you?"

Kat was on her way to interview the next person when turning to see Ami calling for her. Stopping, she greeted the life hunter with a wide grin and a small wave. "Hey, Ami." At her question, she merely blinked before shaking her head. "Nope. To be honest, I didn't even know about it until the news was going around the island." If only she did know more.. it would save her the trouble of going from one person to the next, asking them questions and getting.. looks.
"What about you? Anything you know that I haven't heard yet?"

2. Caelius - WHAT WAS I THINKING. Obvious??? Too obvious - but could be mind games?? Could have done the damage, but again - so obvious, he could definitely have done it but I feel like he would've gotten pinned for it if he had, not well-liked so... obvious??? ugh my brain

Well this was new. He'd never even seen this office before, or the woman occupying it. Well, he had questions.

Okay this was probably one of the last people he wanted to ask. Second only to Caelius. But since he had just recently asked Clarice, he figured the next best person would be her division lead.
Turns out he was so very wrong.

For some reason Ryan couldn't tell if that was a warning or a threat. Maybe it was even a mix of both. Either way, his suspicion against the life lead were very high.

He'd try more familiar territory, Lex thought. Familiar being the Life Labs, and specifically the office of the Doctor. He rapped the wooden door with slightly shaky knuckles, but cleared his throat when the lead beckoned him in.
"Sir? I was wondering what you knew about the council incident..."
"Are you quite sure you wish to stick your nose into such a dreadful tragedy?" He murmured pleasantly, "If you aren't careful, my dear, it might get chopped off."
With a flap of his hand and something along the lines of "You could be so charming..." Lex was out of the door. Wait...could be?!

Hm. Ami thought that was a fair answer. Then again, Kat could've easily been covering something up. "Really? Nothing? Do you even know anything about the council's decision regarding the horsemen?"

She'd only encountered Dwight once, on that long-ago mission to Antarctica. He'd interviewed her and a few of the others about their experiences, hadn't he? So his flustering seemed odd... not necessarily suspicious, but definitely odd.
And interesting to learn more about this footage... hmm.

Shaking her head, she honestly had no idea what had gone on around that time. "Nah, I was back in the pods for a while, and by the time I was out, I was pretty much just hearing of everything from everyone else. As for the council's death, I didn't hear about that until I was told by others as well."

Jeez. While he was at it, he might as well ask another life hunter some questions. Though to be honest, Dwight's reaction was not quite what he was expecting.

4. Simon - OK THAT WAS CREEPY but if he meant it he probably could've done it and he didn't do it but his weapons are guns so unless he had borrowed something bladed from somewhere???? there weren't any bullet holes were there???
