Rep didn't desummon Tracey, the runes dripping power visibly. He was charged, but there was no outlet, and outlet hadn't been his intent, there were other things you could find out about people from letting them hit you. He closed his eyes and focused, Al's fear was interesting - there was something earthy about it - not in a gritty dirt like way but like the smell of newly tilled soil, a flash of spiced apple mingled in, it made him think of growth and potential. His new weapon was still just a hint of the sinus twist familar with the comforting scent of a warm dog. It made him smirk, he'd found a very suitable mark.
know I hate when you hold a charge.> The fallen angel's tone was clipped and sharp.

There was no reply other than a shallow hiss of frustration.
"Shadow run is a training run for hunters where you have to run a gauntlet of shadowlings, small monsters that will try and overwhelm you. It's meant to keep you on your toes, its designed mostly for Sun hunters, but anyone is able to do it."

Al had no idea as he lingered close to Rep, his new idol, he was smiling from ear to ear. Something about Rep just... Al tilted his head at the explanation, "Sounds scary?"

"Oh its scary but it's safe. You won't die fighting these things, you might die on the battlefield. That's the difference. Its practice for the s**t you will face out there." he gave Al a pat on the back. "But its up to you. What do you say you get settled in and then tomorrow we can hit up the run?"

Al nodded looking even more enthused after being told it won't kill him, "Sure! Thank you Rep, this is going to be awesome."

"You are a good strong guy, you'll be absolutely fine man. We'll get you into a habit of training and s**t and show you around the training areas. You'll be off on the right foot. I'll catch you later on."

Al nodded and waved before b-lining straight for his dorm. God, he's so lucky, he just got the greatest friend on island, he's sure of it.
