The yellowblood wasn't sure whether or not he wanted to chase her very far if she tried to run or whether he would. He didn't think about ending the fight or running. All he thought about was continuing. In the moment, he didn't consider what would happen a few minutes from now. Only what he was doing just then.
Wobbling back, he picked up his axe and considered it for a second. It was still coated in a thin layer of blood, and he shook it as he stepped back towards where she was finally prone on the ground this time. He hadn't expected her to fire wildly into the air, but it hadn't even come close to where he was standing. A few more steps. He'd swing. He'd take her out. It would be over soon and Ratiku could go back to being the cocksure lowblood he was, but he'd have the defeat of a blueblood under his belt, something that would certainly give in a leg up when confronting anyone else.
One more step and-
His leg gave out. A throbbing pulse went through his back and he hissing, landing on his knee and dropping his arm to his side, unable to take a swing.

She stared at him as he advanced towards her, adrenaline starting to wear down as she panted from the fight, knowing full well that she should run, yet was unable to do so. She was locked up, tense, muscles refusing to obey her as she looked on shell-shocked.
His leg gave out. She watched wearily; suddenly her mind snapped back into place. Dizzy from the pain, she kicked up another cloud of dirt; somehow she was getting to her feet, mind in overdrive; did she really have the heart to go in for the kill? Should she just run?
It was a bad thing to hesitate; yet she did. It was always that apprehension that got her.

Grunting, he tried to get himself back to his feet again. It didn't work at first, and for his efforts he was greeted with yet another cloud of dust to the face. If the city hadn't been destroyed, he wondered briefly between hacking if there would be so much grit and grime to use against him. There probably would be, he thought, and wondered still why he hadn't tried to use it against her yet.
Yellow tinted tears formed at the corners of his eyes as he rubbed. They were so dry, so sore and weary, but it wasn't enough to stop him completely. Diving forward, practically falling, he smacked at her with the flat edge of his axe. Anything to hit, he'd take anything.

The axe hits her somewhere; somewhere. It's hard for her to make out where the pain is coming from now, what with her shoulder feeling numb from the pain and her leg aching and all the little cuts and scuffles stinging.
Vaguely, in the back of her mind, she remembers a similar situation. Back in the caverns being chased by those creatures; it was then she discovered she even had the aptitude for her powers, for being able to cloak herself and hide towards the naked eye. Throwing the last of her energy into the mix, despite the pain, she felt a warmth ripple over her skin as she (or at least she hoped) became transparent once again, grabbing her gun and running.
It was cowardly to run, but Sarcel was nothing if not Pathetic.

By the time Ratiku could focus on what was in front of him again, there was nothing. Nothing but the destroyed city and a splattering of blood against the ground. He stood up quickly, wincing at the way his body protested it. Where had she gone? Only moments ago she had been right in front of him. There was no way she should have gotten away without being seen. He didn't understand, but after a while of waiting on constant edge, he finally decided he didn't care to. She was gone, she had retreated, and he had won.
A very tense smirk split his features. She may have ran, but he could spin this yarn into something great. There was no way he wouldn't use the fact that he could beat down a blueblood at some point. It was only a matter of time. Gripping his axe loosely, he ambled away from the scene of their confrontation. It wouldn't do to stand around, in case someone came along looking to pick a fight. Even if he was great enough to beat a blueblood, he wasn't sure he could win another one so soon.
