Otto wasn't looking to take a classy gal like Eva to some generic make out point. It wasn't his style and definitely not hers. "Like a Zoo is any better for cliche?" Then again most date places were cliche no matter what. Cliches usually stemmed from some sort of over done truths.
Otto sneered at her remark but took a look so far, trying to ignore the parts that weren't done. "S'alright. I'm half way to lookin' less like a mop." Otto would know better once it was fully completed. "I almost look like a normal person... sans the pink."

Ami squinted slightly and looked away. "I was talking more about the cliche of making out in dark places," she said promptly, shrugging as if it were no big deal. Been there, done that, experienced that cliche, and she didn't want to again.
"Yes ... the pink." Ami had been trying to avoid it this whole time. "We can probably get you some hair dye remover- Someone on this island is bound to have some." Regardless of her disapproval at the salmon color, Ami was looking rather pleased with herself. Otto liked her work!

A smile curled across her face. She'd never liked to be the goody two shoes, and she expected no less of Otto. "I'll see what I can do."
She had a feeling that Robert might have some. "Alright, time to dry. It'll be easier to cut your bangs when they're dry. We can figure out what to do then."
From the sink drawer, she procured a fancy hairdryer. She invested quite a few dollars in it. Since she showered in the morning, it meant she had to dry it for the day and Ami? Ami had a lot of hair. It was down to her lower back now. A good hair dryer was neccessary.
"Stay put," she ordered, moving closer and turning it on.

Otto curled his lip, stiffly tilting his head away from the hair dryer. It looked like some kind of laser gun from an old SciFi movie. "....The ******** is that thing?"He was probably joking. "Bet you could dry a damned car in 3 seconds with it.."

For a moment she thought she really would have to explain to Otto was a hair dryer was.
She sighed with relief and moved in on his blonde (and pink!) locks of hair. Carefully, she moved the dryer down each part, which was easier enough as it was now short enough to just comb her fingers through. It was done meticulously, but casually.
"Alright, bangs. I'm assuming you don't want the bieber sidebang." Her smirk had somehow grown thicker.

"Oh yer a real comedian." Otto groaned with a dramatic eye roll. "And yer right, I don't. Use your best judgement, which I'm assumin' is pretty damn good." See that Ami? He trusts you! In other words...

"You assume correctly," Ami said haughtily, humming as she began to cut his bangs. At first it was a more dramatic swoop, but then she realized it made Otto look much younger than he was. As much as she loved her baby, he didn't need to look more like a baby.
It was slow work, but eventually finished. With the last few pieces brushed out of his hair, Ami moved aside so he could see himself in the mirror.
"Well?"

Ami's haughty confidence helped assure Otto that she wasn't going to ruin his hair. He'd kind of hoped not, seeing as she cut her own and it looked decently nice. He wasn't disappointed. Looking in the mirror he almost didn't recognize himself. "Well damn.." He murmured, ruffling his hair for good measure. "I look downright handsome." If he could be so bold to say so himself. "It actually makes me look my age." His longer locks had often made him look more like he was 15, but now? Now he looked at least 18. Otto stepped back, his gaze averted from Ami as he prepared to say something he didn't much like to say to people. "Thanks. You did a good job.."

"Handsome hair only comes from a handsome subject," she cooed, washing off her comb and putting the scissors away. It wasn't often she heard Otto say anything complimentary as a "thank you," so it actually made her feathers a little ruffled.
With a completely deadpan look, she said, "That will be fifty dollars."

Flattery or not, Otto was fairly buttered up now. That was until Ami's deadpan'd bluff. Or he thought it was a bluff. It was hard to tell with her. Otto stared back, eyes narrowed and silently trying to figure her out. Fifty bucks? Hell no. Otto didn't sign for this...

Ami gave a bark of laughter (she was actually laughing in some cases now, who would have thought?) as Otto's clearly unsure look gazed back at her. Oh how easy it was to pull the wool over his eyes.
"You look like you're going to murder me Otto," she jested, handing him one of the shirts he'd taken off during the process. "Please, it was only a joke. Don't sick Tenya on me, she has far better things to kill."

Ami laughing? Apparently possible. Otto's glare eased off slightly, giving her a slightly raised eyebrow. He took the offered shirts back, still giving her that patented Otto stare. "Yeah well it'd be a shame to muck up yer purty bathroom if I used her in here anyway." He joked lightly, pulling his shirts back on again. "So I guess yer safe." He said as if he'd actually attack her. Chances of that happening were slim to none. "Lemme know when ya find that hair dye remover."

"Purty?" Ami scoffed. "Otto I knew you were a bumpkin, but purty?" She smiled lightly and stood on her toes to ruffle Otto's hair once more. "We need to expand your lexicon."
Maybe she'd force him to read a dictionary one of these days. "Can do~" she chimed at the request for dye remover. She'd put that at the top of her to-do list. His hair needed it.
She began moving them back towards the front room now that her job was done. "Say hi to Lex if you see him? I'm working 'from home' today," she said. That was the nice thing about book translation- it could be done from any location with a computer and books.

What? What???
Otto frowned, disgruntled as she ruffled his hair and mocked his limited vocabulary. He didn't bother to ask what a lexicon was, to save what was left of his pride. He figured it had to do with words or something.
Otto nodded as he was led out, letting himself out the front door. "Yeah yeah, will do. I'll tell him you demanded a special naked visit tonight too."
