Soquili name: (please think of something 'trollish' as she/he will be named by Malis herself, if you need help coming up with names WoWpedia is a useful tool) Baliaja the Insane or Tzane if it's the boy. If I hadn't named my little trelf Sindi, I would name the troll Sindi the Insane, after my WoW shaman. =B But! My mini's red troll hair was too like my Sindi's, to not name her otherwise.
Tell me a little about their personality: (You can answer this twice if the girl and the boy are different.) A troll through and through, but above all, a shaman! He/she will love bones and the earth around them. They will be able to read the elements, and make small predictions on the future. They will use their shamanistic ways to help cast chants and wards, to try and keep the herd safe. A very colorful troll dey will be! They will also be a swift runner, and use the spirits to guide them over the land when they take to high speeds.
How many Soquili do you have now? (and who are they if ya wanna list them *grins*) Dear lord, I have 32? 31.. Lemme check! *forehead smack* I have 30, though four are co-owns. So technically, I have 28. Now, let's see if I can name them without peeking! Weeeeeee! Why would you like one of the troll family? Because trolls are only superior to all other races! *cough* I mean, because I'm in love with the race of trolls on WoW, and would like a soq troll to build a fun character.
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? *chin stroke* Well, MY Bokbok was a drunk. Damn thing couldn't run straight! One time, it ran over a helpless noob in the Barrens. =( True story. Though, it was a gnome, and I may have let her run them over. ....and then camped their corpse. >.>;; So! I would name her Tipsy Flame Strider. If it wasn't for her gorgeous red and purple plumage, I swear I'd trade her in. -.-
Do you play WoW? Troll enhancement shaman, lvl 85. *cough* Uther, former guild leader of We Hate Us Too. I plan on picking the game up at the end of this month, when my husband deploys. Don't tell my guild though! I plan on hiding on a pvp or rp server, to both try them out, and lay low till I'm sure I want to be apart of that guild again.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? Pshaw! When this foal survives the attack, and learns of their near death experience later in life, they will be quite spiteful towards walkers. They will wonder why nobody seeks them out, hunts them, and kills them. Maybe they are overpowered easily by claw or paw, but The Flock isn't! They have claws themselves. Perhaps this foal could inspire them to form an allegiance that benefits them.

I would also like to get my Sindi involved with the Vitterfolk. She may be small, but packs quite the punch! She considers herself a fighter, despite her size. =B I might be interested in getting Swiftwing involved as a hired scout for your herd too. He is wicked fast, and could scout out the walkers for them. Even those with wings, he would be able to out maneuver.
Do you like RPing? Heck yes! I think the most rewarding feeling, is reading an old rp. It's almost as if another person wrote those rp's.
Traditionally the Vitterfolk trolls mate for life (or at least with the same partner) are you ok with this? (There have been a few plot exceptions but usually this has been the case.) I am very okay with this. To date, I have never broken a lifemate. <3 I have a few soq that will have no action in their lives, if they don't lifemate first. A troll would be prized, and only lifemated. Ever.

Trivia

1: Name the Vitterfolk's nearest neighbors and their unspoken agreement. The Flock. The unspoken agreement might be about territory lines, and that The Flock doesn't capture the Vitterfolk's males. *cough* Hunting rights are shared too, on the outskirts of both territories.
2: In Azeroth, who is Sen'jin? Sen'jin is the leader of the Darkspear trolls! There's a big story about him having a vision of Thrall saving the trolls from the humans, and then it coming true. He's got both a realm and a village named after him in WoW. =B Sen'jin village is the first settlement a newb troll encounters around lvl 4-5. Good fella.
3: What tier am I making for Blizzcon this year? (Or what tier did I make last time?) The pic you showed me was of the red verision of T12, maybe heroic, with the Hand of Ragnaros! I was impressed. Currently, you are working on "The fetish shaman and Malis in T-14"
4: Shamans use totems in WoW, tell me what are the four elements they use. Earth, Water, Fire, Air! And it has been rumored, that there is a fifth totem....DEATH. >.> What? It could happen. <.<
5: What is a troll's favored mount in WoW (the race as a whole). What is Malis' favored mount? (Hint: It has something to do with 'bokbok'.) Raptor! And we both prefer Hawkstriders. =D
6: The baskets have a nephew called Atal'rin, what is special about him? He is more quiet than most and has a serene outlook on life. He was quiet as a foal, finding his way around with an unusual sixth sense, his sight missing. So what's special, is despite his lack of eyes and sight, he still manages to sense his surroundings with this unusual sixth sense.
7: What is the name of the kalona who attacked Ysiel and Sen'jin and what is interesting about her son? (Hint: I own him) Izusa. Her son, Súileabhán, fathered foals with Zandali, one of which is Vol'turri.
8: Tempest has a brother, what 'gryph is he based off in WoW? (Bonus: How do you get one in WoW) Flameward Hippogryph. It is obtained when you get "The Molten Front Offensive" achievement. The gryph is part of an additional set of rewards upon opening up all the available content at both daily quest areas, regrowth and molten front. *makes grabby hands* I will have to work towards one! The cenarrion hippogryph was my first flight mount. Worked my butt off to get it. During the scourge event, I was able to trade from my alliance toon, to a horde guildy while infected. *cough* That accounted for a good portion of the gold! They nipped that glitch in the butt quickly. You could trade and converse between factions while infected. XD
9: Who will be the next leader of the WillowGlen Herd? Kai`kaede will lead the WillowGlen Herd next.
10: Peikko means something very special, what is it? It means a few things, though troll is likely the special one in relation to this herd. For the Horde!

11: Who were the first true enemies of the Gurubashi and Amani? Over the course of thousands of years, the Gurubashi and Amani tribes fought the Aqir, beating them back with enough strength that the Aqir Empire shattered into two, Azjol'Nerub to the north, and Ahn'Qiraj to the south.
12: To Solemn, what is important about Crystaea. (Bonus: What was important about her in WoW) She will be showing up on Solemn's doorstep and bring his past to meet his present in full force.

Write me a story!

Tzane looked up at his parents with an attentive look, listening to their every word. As they spoke, he stretched his front legs out, then let the stretch ripple through his body before standing. Azure hooves lined up under his body as he stood tall. "Yes ma'am, yes sir. We will stay here." he bumped his siblings with his rump. The thought of danger hadn't crept into his thoughts yet, till he saw the look on his mothers face. It betrayed her slightly, and Tzane cocked his head. "Is everything..." okay. He didn't have time to ask before they were gone. He shrugged it off. Full trust was given that his parents knew what they were doing. They hadn't given him any reason to think otherwise, and had always protected them.

Flipping his burgundy mowhawk, he trotted back to the middle of the field. The mowhawk was inherited from his grandfather. He quite liked it! It was spunky and showed his personality. Tzane called to his siblings. "Hey look, ants!" He plopped half down to the ground, wiggling his rump. A tongue stuck out the top of his mouth, as he inspected the insects. What Tzane did next was interesting, he began to talk to them. Not like a normal 'hod do you do' type of conversation, but whispers, blessings to the little hard workers. His sky blue sister giggled at him, before going over to her other sibling and starting to frolic. Tzane was alone with his ants.

In the distance, a pair of black slit eyes watched on hesitantly. This cold one knew that something was in the air, it could smell it. It watched the blue colt with serious intent, and began to move closer.

Tzane was oblivious, only hearing the giggles of his siblings youthful play. He jumped to clear heaven when he saw what was in the grass. A snake! It slithered right up to him, unafraid.

"Pleasssseeee...you are in dangersssssss..." the snake hissed at him. Had he charmed this snake while talking to the ants, or had the spirits gifted them with a bond? These were his first thoughts, not ones of danger. That thought was quickly replaced with the one of danger, when he heard a low growl. With urgency, his siblings ran to his side, having heard it too. They all crouched down and whispered. His sister about yelled at the sight of the snake, but he assured her it was a friend. At least he thought so.

"You mussssst leave!" urged the snake. The three siblings exchanged hesitant glances. Just because a snake was talking to him, and telling them to leave, didn't mean they weren't told to stay put.

Time was lost. It was too late. A dark coated skinwalker bear darted out from the bush. It had been following Tuuli and I'mani for some time now, waiting for a chance to steal their prize! It needed no motive, when the motive was evil. It gave a grizzly growl, and closed the distance between it and the foals.

"Tssssane! Use the ants, then RUNsss.." The snake began to shake it's tail, giving off a rattling noise. The bearwalker was no fool, and knew the sound well. It still charged, but hesitated for a moment when seeing the snake at the feet of the foals. It was the window Tzane needed! With a hoof, he scooped his hoof deep into the ant mound, and splashed it up into the face of the predator. The bear grunted and pawed at it's eyes, unable to see. The ants tried to bite him, but didn't slow him much. This was their chance! "This way!" he lead, running towards his herd. He knew the way, since they had visited frequently. After seeing his mothers face, he didn't dare run towards them, or they could find even more danger.

As the three ran, they heard a gurgled scream from the bear. The poisonous snake that had aided them, had bit the bearwalker. It risked its life to help them get away. The bear would likely maul the snake, but the poison would still have done its damage. Doubtful that it would kill such a large beast, but he would be increasingly incapacitated as the poison seeped through it's veins.

Tzane did not look back. Once to safety, he would however, mourn the snake. The snake he thought he would never see again...

Soquili name: Thraze for the boy, Sangzin for... either, I guess, if Thraze doesn't work for you.
Tell me a little about their personality: He or she is fearful, but desperate not to be thought timid or, worse, cowardly. With such strong and brave Soquili to look up to, the fact that he/she is afraid of things will quickly become his/her private shame and he/she will do everything they can to hide and make up for this. Everything from playing being startled off as a joke, to practicing hard at improving combat-related skills, to perhaps being just a little too teasing of someone else being frightened or getting just a little too heated at the suggestion that he/she is afraid. Otherwise, he/she is a good follower, eager to listen and learn. He/she would prefer to be kept out of the way, but, worried that would be their cowardice showing, instead forces into the thick of things. Instead of making them feel braver, this only gives them more to worry about, and the cycle repeats with more pushing forward and more being worried. Eventually, things should come to a head and the cycle, for better or worse, would break. Whether he/she finds his/her comfort zone and are more honest with him/herself and others, or snaps and goes completely too far in a misguided attempt to be 'brave' would be up to RP and plots. He/she could either settle down and find acceptance and happiness, or go a little 'more power means less fear' and lean towards becoming more vicious and ruthless (which could be curbed in later plots). He or she, thanks to be clouded by fear, would struggle to connect with the spirits. Becoming a strong guardian would seem like the right thing to do, but he or she would need to do a lot of looking up to family to help decide their path. Depending on how plots work out, he/she might ultimately decide to be something else, I would really much prefer to see how the character develops. He/she is going to be in need of finding balance in their life, which might bring them around to the spirits after all. I'm not sure right now.
How many Soquili do you have now? Eight, and two familiars, I recently mostly updated my teepee if you care to 'meet' them.
Why would you like one of the troll family? I have sort of admired the toll family for a while, the plots are really interesting and I like the dynamic a lot. Then there's the potential for family RP on top of all the plots the family has, which is kind of some of the best sort of RP in my opinion.
If you had a Bokbok, what would you call it? Er, it would depend on the impression I got from it, and who it was partnered with. They are so cute and fluffy though, so perhaps something that might reflect that a bit.
Do you play WoW? No WoWing for me, my internet is far too slow for that. I've been told it is a little like Dungeons and Dragons though, which makes it sound totally awesome. Maybe someday.
Any ideas for helping the plot along? I'd like the foal to be a little bit shell-shocked from the basket near miss (I'd be more than happy for him/her to be bait, and injuries are also okay) but if your intention was not for them to realize what had/was happening another scare would work just fine. He or she would need guidance to overcome fear, instead of simply overcompensating for it.

Perhaps trying to prove him or herself will get him or her into the midst of something big, where they find themselves paralyzed with the fear they were trying to hide. Maybe he/she gets dragged off as a hostage to force the family to negotiate in some way, and either need to be rescued or finally find his/her own strength and escape. Or maybe, at a crucial moment, he/she breaks and flees instead of standing his/her ground. He/she would need to learn to live with and work through fear, instead of trying to pretend it doesn't exist and letting it rule them... or go too far and decide they want to be feared instead.

I am open to characters getting knocked around pretty hard, so if you need someone to get seriously injured I would be willing to do that. If he/she is injured, perhaps their injury helps get them into trouble as well via the same ignore/overcompensate problem they have with their fears.

If he/she gets darker, guidance to not become something to be feared in an attempt to overcome fear would be wonderful. Someone, maybe dad or grandma, informing him/her that being scarier than the monsters is not what makes a good guardian, or a hero, or whatever, might help get him/her on the right track, but more bumps is kind of fun.

I can also, regardless of how this contest goes, offer a cursed skinwalker of my own to add a little extra trouble. Cao would be delighted to try to take advantage of the mess Solemn is trying to make, though I don't know that she would actually work with him. She's a bit self-centered for that, though she might try to pull one over on him by agreeing and then betraying him. Maybe she could sow seeds of distrust among family/herd members, though I expect by now they'll not trust a skinwalker. She could try to woo foals away from their family if she manages to lure one outside of watchful eyes, unlikely but she could try. She's also a good character to be 'rescued' from, she's more cruel than ferocious and if she senses a losing battle she'll leave... though she might come back.

Prompt no.1: There has been a 'walker attack recently and your parents have left you to go investigate. Yourself and your young siblings have been charged to not leave the safety of the inner glen for -no- reason. You can hear faint growls coming closer towards you and your sister is looking worried. What do you do?

Mother and father said not to leave. The young colt shivered where he stood, his ears straining for sounds that might mean something, anything. He didn't know what was happening, not exactly. But he knew something was wrong. Terribly, terribly wrong. Why else would his family have gotten so upset? He knew that he and his sisters were not to leave. They'd been left here because it was supposed to be safe. But he... he just wished father had stayed. Just in case.

What was that? That noise. That. Growling?

His sister wasn't the only one who was worried, but Thraze tried desperately not to look as frightened as he felt. “Dey'll be back,” he whispered, hoping and praying that it was true. Father had responsibilities as a guardian. He was brave and strong, and had to protect the herd. But Thraze wished desperately, selfishly, that the stallion had stayed to protect them instead. He shouldn't wish that, he knew. He should be brave and strong too, he should be ready to protect his sisters. He shouldn't be hoping that, if something happened, he was fastest to get away. That was wrong. That was all wrong. But he was just... just so scared...

It was coming closer, the growl was coming closer. A leaf crunched, or a twig, he wasn't sure. It sounded impossibly loud, almost as loud as the thundering of his heart. Swallowing, he shifted to lean against his sister, trying to look like he was offering comfort. Trying to convince himself that he was offering comfort, and not desperately seeking someone to lean on himself. This was supposed to be safe! They'd been told to stay here, right here, because it was safe! What was out there? What was it? It was coming closer, where was father? Mother? Malis? Anyone?

They would be back. If he and his sisters waited like they were told, nothing bad would happen. It wouldn't. And if he thought it over and over, maybe he would believe it.

They would be back in time. They would. Thraze shuddered, though he tried very, very hard not to. What would father say if he came back and saw one of his foals quivering with fear? Thraze didn't want to know, he didn't want to disappoint father or anyone else. Father was so brave... why couldn't Thraze be brave like that too?



* Since you asked, I do have a small preference for male characters. But I love my ladies as well, so I could go either way. I just got into the habit of making boys a long time ago, and never really stopped. For the plot ideas, and personality, I had in mind, either gender would work just fine.

Also he may want to accompany his mother as messenger and perhaps become sort of a link as well.

Tell me a little about their personality: –Trying for just the girl basket please -- <3
Although she may be young in appearance she is wise in heart and soul. The world is fascinating place to Vanira, filled with wonder and magic. Her dream is to be like her father and her grandmother, to have a connection to the land and the herd by the way of shamanism, even if she is unable to commune with the spirits of the world. She does not let her inability to converse with the spirits deter her from her dream of becoming a great shaman; she is determined and loyal. Vanira will do anything for her family and does not take well to those who threaten or lie to the ones she loves.

When she was a basket she was left out as bait for I'mani along with her siblings, knowing this did not cause her to feel betrayed, but gave her a steadfast belief that those who would do harm to her family must be stopped and she would help see to it that it would be done, for she did not wish to bestow the same fate upon any of the young foals of the herd.

She is steadfast in her ways and it would take a strong heart and will to sway her.

Vanira believes the truth should rule above all else, she does not take kindly to lies and deception. Because of this belief, she is unable and unwilling to tell false truths even in the most precarious of situations.

Above all, she has a big heart and cares for all those she meets; she desires every kind creature to find happiness. She would desire for those who were evil to find happiness, but understands that it is too much to hope.

❧ In the future I would like for her to help Malis with the injured, so she learns a few aspects about being a shaman that do not involve talking to the spirits
❧ Some rp with skin walkers for sure, since she was bait along with her siblings, I would love rp to see how that knowledge affected the children and what they did about it
❧ I have ideas for her personally, not really the herd in general to help plots moving
❧ For her I would love for her to explore the ideas of Shamanism and come to grips that she will never understand what the spirits are saying, but that will not change how she helps and interacts with others as a shaman
❧ I would love plots for her as she tries to figure out how to be a spiritual teacher/leader, what trials and tribulations must she endure to become great at what she does?

Tell me a little about their personality: He/she will be very straight forward and always honest even when it wouldn't normally be the best idea. Bold, brash and a fighter. She will be devout to the Vitterfolk and will always hold their beliefs above all else and will do whatever takes to protect their beliefs, values, and everyone in their territory. She is a fighter through and through and does not have much interest in Voodoo or other skills within the tribe. Though she will learn them to preserve their ways and out of respect. She will do her duty wherever and whenever it is needed and will find that this interferes with her personal life growing up and as an adult.

Why would you like one of the troll family? I have always admired this family and liked the WoW species as well. I also am interested in the strong plotlines you have and the interweaving of those into many aspects of the Soquili world.

Any ideas for helping the plot along? I am ok with my foal being injured and given his nature a skinwalker will most likely take offense. Also I can see him being manipulate in a way where he will act before thinking when it comes to protecting the Vitterfolk. He can be detached and brash. He means good but with all the drama taking place I can see him being used by Tuuli to stir up more problems. Once he finds out I could also see him feel guilty and want to seek out vengeance on his own to those who have harmed the herd.
Do you like RPing? I do enjoy RPing, but am slow myself. Love plotting as well

Task no.3: Creativity! The writing pen v.s. the paint brush!

You have a choice between two creative prompts. Either, answer one of the two RP prompts in the character of your foal or draw a sketch/picture of one of the few subjects mentioned below!

Option 1 - Write me a story!

Prompt no.1: There has been a 'walker attack recently and your parents have left you to go investigate. Yourself and your young siblings have been charged to not leave the safety of the inner glen for -no- reason. You can hear faint growls coming closer towards you and your sister is looking worried. What do you do?

Jin'Zil's heart started racing. The sound he heard did not sound friendly or like anyone he recognized. He searched around them looking for the one who made the sound. He looked at his sister who seemed to be shaking in fear. He would not leave the inner glen that was for sure. He would not disobey his mother.

He turned to his siblings. "It will be ok, I will protect you." He had never seen a skinwalker but he would do anything for his family including standing up to the unknown. He jumped to his feet. "Stay behind me", he said to his siblings. His heart pounded in his chest and his muscles tensed. Anger filled him as he though about this Soquili making his family fearful. He stepped forward ready to fight. It was then the skinwalker appeared snarling in front of him. Jin'Zil's heart sank but he stood firm and ready still. He would do what little he could.

I'mani growled low as she skirted along the edge of the marked boarder. Runes carved into the trees told her she had reached the inner wards of the Vitterfolk. Still she pressed forward, knowing there was chaos to be had... and food. She could smell them close by, newborn flesh, tender and delicious. Solemn's informer had been correct and the thought of the nearing meal made her salivate. While she only had thoughts of ripping him to shreds when she spoke with him, the feline did keep his promise of finding her good hunting grounds. She looked forward for the day she could turn the tables on him and see his blood soak the ground. Still, the treat of new foals kept her moving slowly forward.

Tuuli scrambled into the glade with wide eyes. She heaved a little as if running for her life and hung her head low. "Walker! Here! In the boundaries!" The mare gasped out in between breaths not looking up. A cut above her knee showed possible attack while her heavy breathing almost proved it.

Sen'jin looked startled. How could this be? They had regular patrols and each path into the innner glades were carefully covered by vines grown by Dayunsi. The troll stallion worriedly glanced towards his mate who was sitting protectively near their children safely nestled away in baskets. "Ah be needin' t' check it out. Ya be ok 'ere?" He nuzzled Ysiel once before glancing towards the shaken Tuuli. "Where be t' walker now?"

"Path by the waterfall, close to the clawed ones. Ya don't think they let her through do ya?" She chanced a look up with a concerned expression upon her face.

"Doubtful but ah be lettin' Momma know after this." Sen'jin was ready to leave the glade, glancing back on last time. "Look after t' little ones."

Ysiel nodded once before glancing towards Tuuli. "Someone needs to warn Malis, are you well enough to send the message?" She was loath to leave the baskets but sending the messages was her task, especially ones so dire. The winged mare was one of the fastest in the air but not as quick when traveling on foot but then it looked like Tuuli was already a little worse for wear.

"I can try but I got caught back there." She nodded towards the direction Sen'jin had gone before taking a few steps forward. "I... ow!" Gasping a hiss of pain she lifted her leg and examined the ankle. "I may have twisted something." Looking apologetically at the new mother she shook her head, "I can look after ya babies for a moment or two if ya want to send out for someone."

Looking concerned at the baskets for a moment, Ysiel nodded once. "They will only be left for a short while. Mai had paid us a visit moments before so I can quickly track her down and have her find Malis." Her gaze rested on her children for a long moment before turning to Tuuli. "Thank you, please take good care of them."

"I would die for them Ysiel. Don't ya worry about a thing." Tuuli smiled and then hobbled over towards the baskets and stood over them watchfully. She watched as Ysiel turned and cantered through the trees towards the WillowGlen glades where she would find Mai or another of the herd members. As soon as the hoofsteps had faded away Tuuli put her plan in action. Firstly was removing the baskets in question. With a wrinkle of her nose, she grabbed the first and dragged it over to a covered portion of the glade. With a firm kick she pushed it through the bushes onto a thin path that had grown free of grasses for quite a while. After repeating the same with the other two, the mare drug them down the path to another hidden clearing, one that a certain bat walker already had directions to. As Tuuli made her way back towards the birthing glade she rammed up against the trees. Large scrapes and welts formed upon her coat, a black eye was the result of running into a low branch and finally she rolled around in a mud patch to cover up any suspicions. By this time the hobble was no-longer feigned and she snorted slightly to get the dirt out of her nose. With a firm tread, she stomped upon the floor of the birthing glade close to where the baskets once stood, the once smooth grasses torn up under hooves and bramble borders now sporting tufts of fur. Then she barreled her way down a path that was in the opposite direction of the basket's hiding place and collapsed to the ground. It was only a matter of time that she would be found and the baskets discovered missing.

Which means....

I would like to welcome Tok'kal to the Vitterfolk family played by the courageous Tursi! Congratulations! I loved the little fun RP you did and was interested by the female character you created!

Another warm welcome to Hakkar to the Vitterfolk who will be played by Phail Ninja. Another great character! It was a very hard choice to make but I am sure you'll fit in well.

Another winner! Gen3sis, I would like to offer a co-own with my basket. I liked your character idea which was actually close to what I was considering for my filly. If you accept we can flesh things out a little!

There was many really good entries, some had great RP prompts and others had good character concepts but sadly, I only had two baskets to give away this time. There are a few others I'd like to mention who impressed me with their character concept.

Techabyte/Blame: I'd like to give you co-ownership of I'mani as I get the feeling you'll do a good job in portraying her. You would have permission for the custom-in of Zan'za if you did not wish to co-own.

Jungle: You have custom-in permission for Vol'jin. I enjoyed his character concept and I think he would fit into the family very well.
