Haha, when I want to think up a romantic scene I think about how I would do things, or what would make me feel romantic. How would I feel if someone went out of their way to be nice to me, if I ran into someone I liked on the street or if I was able to just spend time with someone I cared for. That's for feelings of the character. For situations that are romantic I try to think of simple things, nothing too grand or Romeo and Juliet. A simple holding of hands can be amazingly romantic if written with care. Ysavvryl couldn't be more correct. Some scenes work for only certain couples. Try to put yourself in both character's shoes and think like they would. Would flowers make your girl character giggle or gag? And would mushy lines from your boy sound cool or silly?

Daemongrave Then I volunteer to be the constantly overused character! And do things such as improvising, magic tricks, and bear juggling to win over the audience in the name of Queen Sen and the Royal Guards!! scream Hahaha! So random! xd I'm sure a character like that would be fun for everyone! Does anyone have any particular story ideas that they would like to share and maybe collaborate on?

Samuel Grant difference between me and you: I'M NOT ROMANTIC! scream scream Hahaha, I thought you said you wanted tips! You don't have to be romantic just imagine how romantic people would feel! Or as Ysavvryl said, watch some romance movies. The Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly is a good start. If you don't have time for the full movie or you just don't feel like watching it then read the synopsis and watch clips on youtube. Korean drama is always a great place for climactic romance as well but the anime ToraDora! Might be more suited to your tastes. It has a little bit of romance but is mostly comedy and drama. And we don't need to do any romance in our stories here if you would prefer that.

ryruko Wow! Looks like things are already underway a bit! Thank you both for posting! Yes! A collection of works would be the right idea. Though I think we could pick a general theme under which to write. Like First Romance stories, War, Science-Fiction etc. This way, if you and others are interested, we could continue to write different anthologies on different subjects! Now, the one theme is just a suggestion. I would like to hear what you are interested in writing about. The stories don't have to be long at all, though there should be a minimal length requirement I don't think a maximum length is really necessary...as long as you are not writing a novel every time! One other idea I had was to have sort of a collaboration. The writers decide on a story and all write a portion of it until the story is complete. In this way, we will be able to see new and interesting takes on the charters and plots as each writer hands the story off to the next writer in line. Tell me what you think! Oh, and Samuel!
