Remembering the Magnemite, Arthur realized a catch was made and went to retrieve it. As he did, he heard Lykas opting to help Lava with his fire problem. He was actually surprised to here this from a Jellicent. "So he doesn't have a problem with fire types," he thought briefly. "Opposites attract I guess." Glancing at Lava, he saw him making sure Squirrel was o.k.

Looking back to Lykas, he smiled and nodded to the idea. "As long as you don't mind," he said. "Training with a Quilava might be just the thing to toughen up Lava. Now if only I could do the same for Squirrel." Mentally shrugging, he heard Cera's call to continue and shouted for his partners. "Let's hope it's just another Magnemite."

Getting further in would indeed reveal a few more Magnemite, but unlike the ones prior, they kept out of the way. Not only was it hard not to hear what happened, but it was a matter of not bothering the group seeing as they weren't being bothered either.

This room would have an arguably more disturbing nature, however. While it wasn't in the best of shape, it looked organized. Like it was a usable room, if someone didn't mind the slight mess. Furthermore, at one end was a set of stairs, going downward.

Cera didn't say anything as she observed, though, more than a little concerned at this. It looked too much like someone had been here recently, if not still around. And that chi was closer too, as well as a more dense. When she finally did speak, the concern was present in her voice. "I'm not liking the looks of this... the chi feels like it's lower down, let's find a way further down and get this over with."

Alex followed along with the group, a little in a daze as she held Magnemite's pokeball in her hands. Magnemite was one of the pokemon she'd been looking for for quite some time. Hearing Cera's concerning voice, she snapped back to reality and back to the mission at hand. "A way down? Um..." she paused, sliding her goggles down over her eyes. She'd begin scanning the room when she the stairs were brought to her attention. "Oh!" the girl would gasp as she pushed the goggles back onto her forhead. Alex quickly ran for the stairs, careful not to step on any glass or other hazards to one's feet. Pulling her goggles back down, she switched to her night vision which also provided a flashlight to see down.

Reno looked over the area with a small and detailed eye, attempting to identify any possible little things that might make the possibility of people being here more obvious. Finding nothing beyond the usual dust disturbance with no exact shape or anything else really, Reno approached the staircase Arthur had found. Sliding down along the rial to hopefully find the bottom without error, Reno....promptly flew into the wall at high speeds and slid down the wall like a splattered bug.

Those that went for the stairs would find out that they could only go so far. Not because there was any kind of wall... or was there? They'd end up smacking into something, but whatever it was couldn't be seen by the naked eye. Furthermore, the positioning of this something kept anything else from being seen aside from a small glance of a room below, which looked to be in full working order.

But even that glance wouldn't yield a lot. Still, Amaranth was suddenly glad she didn't follow so closely as to smack the "wall" herself.

"Um... guys?" Cera spoke up, floating over to the stairs and looking. Seeing the aftermath, she went closer to inspect, only to back off soon after. "Oh... sorry, didn't expect anything like this. I guess this explains things, sorta." She said as she went to the "wall" and tapped it. Doing so made it give off a faint glow, before forcefully repelling the Mew.

"Ugh, this chi's so dense we could cut it with a knife. I dun think anything's getting through that. Can't even see what's past it either... maybe there's another way through it. I think I can sense that weird chi those thugs' Pokemon had."

"Oh, there is..." Someone would speak up, having heard the commotion and spotted quite the few noisy rats. Should anyone turn around, they'd see that the place was inhabited by more than just some wild Pokemon, with a few people having the group (and the room) surrounded. They looked like they could only pass for thugs, and one of them might've been recognized from earlier events at Pyrite Town. "If you're fine with being six feet under and forgotten in the desert sands."

"...Uh oh."

Lykas followed after Amaranth and Cera, allowing the rookies to take the lead for now. The less expereinced members of the team could use the experience of exploring and possibly being forced into a fight, he was certain.

When the tidy and organized room was found, he pointed across the room, not noticing until after the fact that it had been one of his hair!tentacles that had pointed it out. "I see...." He'd been about to say 'some stairs' when he noticed that everyone else had already gone down. He recalled Palaeo, who he'd left out of his Ball earlier before descending the staircase, himself.

He smacked headlong into the wall before his senses tripped and alerted him of it's presence. "I'm never gonna get the hang of chi control at this rate...." He groaned as he was forced back and landed on his butt on the stairs. When the thugs appeared, he was quick to recover. "Careful!" He called to Eliel. "This guy has a crazy strong Pokemon. Do not underestimate him." He warned as he clutched a Pokeball tightly in his hand.
