"You will, yes." Once he would be older. Akakios had demonstrated the ability, after all, but not until he had come into his own. He suspected that it would be the same for his own children.
"Every god can alter their shape once they are powerful enough, some are simply better than others." Trickery, for example, could alter her shape completely, even in her relatively low power. For everyone else, there were always bits and hints that remained.
He would take Isidore's hand and begin to lead him toward the tower.

Every god, that was exciting. It seemed there was a lot to look forward to when you were a grown up god. He took his father's hand and followed after him towards the tower. He didn't really think about the possibility that the elves might see through their disguise. He was with his dad, nothing could go wrong.

It would not take long at all for them to finally reach the tower. From up close, it was quite obviously marble, and the surface was engraved in what looked to be runes along the whole surface of the tower - those were runic points to focus the mana alongside the 'path' - allowing the two points to link up to each other no matter where the floating city was.
Ankou would pause, expecting that his son would want to investigate this matter.

The thought of mana and magic would have been exciting to a human child. But to a God, who was affected and commanded both it was doubley fascinating.
Isidore looked up at the tower with absolute fascination. It wa beautiful, he reached a small hand out to touch the runes, tracing them, he could feel something about them, some power running through them. "I can feel it." He said excitedly. "The mana?"

"Yes, the mana." Ankou nodded. "You see, mortals - and even ageless like these elves, to a lesser extent - have a lot less mana than we do. So they have to focus it in a different way in order to tap into it in the most efficient ways." Like many mages and sorcerers using wands or other focuses. They had no need of such things, within their own influences.

"So they use this?" He asked pointing to the tower and the runes. "These things are like magical words?" He knew all about magic words, his mother had read them stories with them. Zeta and Zero taught him magic words too, one was 'please' and the other was 'thank you'.
"How does it work?"

"I am uncertain of how they make it work, honestly." Ankou admitted. While his host had been a fire mage, oh so long ago, it did not mean that he knew how it worked. "Not so much words as... concepts, I would say. Akakios would likely be able to answer you better." His nephew was more... well-learned that he was really.
"I cannot tell you exactly what they are, but I can tell you what they do. They tap into the mana of the being who uses this tower and amplifies it." He had no need for such thing, of course, and it was likely that even Isidore would not, if he only knew how to focus his mana correctly.
Even in his youth, his son was likely more powerful than the best mage Elfeinheim held.

"You have lots of mana, so what happens if you use it and it gets ..." He paused and thought about how to say the big word properly. "Ampleefyed. Does that make your mana reeeeally really big?"

Ah, that was what he earned himself for using Big Words, honestly. "If I put my whole strength to it ? Overload it, most likely. There is no mortal-made object that can withstand the full strength of a deity. They simply were not designed to do so." As far as he was aware, at least. This was more the realm of alliances and artifacts.
Which made him ponder Gungnir, but really... that was neither here or there.
What this meant was that they weren't going to do that. It was more mess than Ankou was willing to deal with at the moment. "Just a little bit, however... carefully. If you would like a demonstration ?"

Isidore wondered if it would go kaboom if his father overloaded it. That might be good fun, but if it broke they wouldn't be able to go and see the elves. So it looked like moderation was the order of the day. "yeah! Yeah, show me how." He grinned, getting a bit closer to the tower, eyes wide and ready to take everything in.

Isidore's curiosity really was endearing, beautiful thing - and a good lesson to keep in mind at the same time. No one knew everything save perhaps Knowledge - and there was always something new to discover.
And if one dared not ask questions, then how could they learn ?
How one got into a tower ? Well, though the door, of course. A gloved hand would rise and push it open, revealing what was inside. The whole tower consisted only of a large room, runes engraved on the very floor along the path that led them to the center of a rather large arcane circle.
He would lead his son to the center and stand in it, their hands still joined. "Ready ?" He smiled.

Isidore's mouth hung open as he stepped into the room. That had to be the bestest most awesome place eveeeer! He looked around with wide eyes and kept his small hand firmly in his father's. This was going to be the best adventure. "Yeah, yeah I'm ready! Let's go!"

It would not take long from there. There was no movement needed, only himself reaching out with his own mana to make the runes react in turn.
They would light up, one by one, in a spiral pattern - and then, the tower faded away from their view, and father and son were gone.
