"Well... I think I would suggest that we go someplace else. It would be all right. As far as this reaction is concerned," he lifted his paw to look at it, "I thought that perhaps it would mean that things would get worse and we would be unable to touch. That would be... difficult." Trying to rationalize how their interactions had always been before today, he shook his head. "This... never would have started. And things would be how they've always been." When David leaned into him, he held him close and kissed his hair. There was no ill effect. He was glad, at least for now, that this moment was even possible. He had always had a deep-seated fear of water. And now he cradled Water within his wings.

"well, if anything it has stated otherwise" he purred. Before snuggling into him some more, he had never actually realized how warm Iggy was, mainly because their relationship had just be pack leaders and nothing more. But, being able to feel how warm his alpha was now it made him really happy. He purred as Iggy kissed his hair, usually when they met up he was afraid to even touch Iggy because he wasn't sure how he would react to it.
Caught up in the loving moment he shifted his position and gave Iggy a kiss on the cheek, a little worried about the reaction. The good news is nothing bad happened on his end but he was more worried about Iggy's reaction to the kiss. His tail had relaxed and was still intertwined with Iggy's and it didn't look like the tails wanted to let go. Admittedly neither was he.

Iggy grinned toothily and almost laughed with delight. Yes, their elements were showing them otherwise. Fire and Water were not only coexisting, but they were interacting positively. But wasn't that how they behaved in nature? Sure, as opposites, water could snuff out fire, but sometimes they interacted and caused other interesting things to happen. Like right now, everywhere their bodies touched, he felt tingly, almost...bubbly? And he could feel David's cool skin warming to his touch. The air around them had become almost moist with increasing humidity. He could almost imagine his beta evaporate before his eyes. Was David still feeling well, he wondered with vague worry. But David's kiss was proof that he felt just fine.
Feeling as if he was being swept away by the moment, he kissed David's cheek in return. Was it the elemental reaction between them? No... He had always felt whole when David was near. It was so easy for him to fall in love, but it would be easier if it was David. He did not want to ruin everything. He tightened his embrace. "David, I am afraid."

David blinked as the humidity increased, he definitely warm but he was hoping the reactions would subside. True it was a bunch of tests but he was starting to see it more then that. Before he glanced up at Iggy "afraid of what? That im going to disappear..because i'm still here, im not fully made of water you know that" he said

Ah, was David having similar thoughts, or perhaps just guessing that Iggy might think of such a thing? He grinned faintly and shook his head and admitted, "The thought had crossed my mind... but no, that is not what has me worried." Then he sighed, leaning his head until their foreheads touched. "I am afraid that I will kiss you and eventually you will come to hate me." Then he did kiss him, because he knew that David would deny that he could ever hate Ignatius. Isn't that what everyone believes when they're in love?

David lightly chuckles "oh..come now..Iggy..I could never hate you" he said purring before lightly pushing the alpha onto his back being careful of the wings. He planted a soft kiss on the other and smiled. After all, he wasn't even sure if Iggy still saw these gestures as tests or actually meaning something. He could never hate anyone even if their relationship ended badly, he would still like the person.

Iggy's eyes widened briefly. It was not that he hadn't believed it could (or inevitably would) come to this tonight. He was still surprised, there had been very little escalation, which he had expected. David was serious, so down Iggy went. "All right, David," he chuckled when David kissed him again and he reached up to run his paw through blue locks of hair behind the beta's head. He leaned up so that he could lick him with his sandpaper tongue before kissing him again.

David smiles down at the alpha "usually, I would be all for just talking but, going on and on about reactions..was starting to bore me" he admitted sheepishly. Before lightly licking Iggy's nose "Though..really...I could never hate you Iggy" he said. Though perhaps that time he was being a little too forward. He lightly brushed Iggy's bangs from his face. Iggy could very well stop him if he felt uncomfortable.

"Is that so? I thought the elemental reaction was a good enough excuse to bring us this far," Iggy smiled fondly at David, touching his cheek with his paw. He frowned with grief but only briefly. David could say that he would never hate him, and surely he felt some fondness for his former mate as well. Could Ignatius really say he felt anything but fondness --sad, regretful fondness-- for each of his? Finally, he took a deep breath and nodded. "I believe you." He leaned into David's hand and kissed it. "Now, I thought we agreed not to think too heavily about things tonight."

David nodded his head "At first it may have been...but now its just because I like being so close to you" he said frowning briefly unless Iggy didn't expect that answer. He thought for a moment before speaking up "you shouldn't dwell on your past, the past is the past" he told him. Since he broke contact with his former mate he had never dwelled on it and had moved forward. Which is what brought him and Iggy to where they were now.He nodded his head once again "we did..agree on that..but you looked troubled" he put in.

Despite his misgivings, David was making him very happy. Smiles and purring and affection. He had not felt this lighthearted in quite some time. "I want you to know... what I dwell upon is my past actions. I feel like if I am not ridiculously careful, I'll only repeat them. But it's only bringing me pain to do that. It's led me to keep you at arm's length. But David, when I'm with you, I feel complete. I've always felt that way. I always assumed that it was our elements canceling each other out. But we are always harmonious when we're together, aren't we? Now that I've come to realize your own feelings are much deeper than that, I know that my fears were wrong. Now I know that I can allow myself to feel the same. Please forgive my hesitation."

David lightly cupped Iggy's cheek and gazed at him "We were always harmonious around each other even at arms length" he informed the alpha. "so, really we are both at fault for that because we saw our bond as our elements cancelling each other out and nothing positive" he explained. After listening to what Iggy said he smiled "I will always forgive you, no matter what" he put in. In truth, he himself never actually felt complete until he was around Iggy and now that his feelings were known he didn't have to feel incomplete anymore.

David really did feel the same way. "I agree, though I don't think I've felt it quite so much as when you touch me even like that," he said, letting his own hand cover David's where it cupped his cheek. Then his arms slid around David's back, below his wings. "And I would forgive you as well, David. Not that there would be anything to forgive."

David smiles "Hey..I never felt it that much either mainly because we were occupied with other things" he said lightly. "but..that is the past and right now all that matters to me is the present" he said snuggling into Iggy once again. He lightly ran a hand through Iggy's fire colored hair.
