"But sharing is caring, yes? Don't you care about me, Riyo~?" Akubi was looking rather smug, and that smug faced boil in a suit was the image she had the pleasure of capturing onto her phone for all time. Congratulations Riyo.
Akubi shrugged in response to his noose as he reached up to fiddle with the end of it, "I just never really thought much about it I suppose, it is just like why I am more comfortable in cat form for now. I just accepted these things as part of being an Akubi, yes."
The cat boil stared down at his suit before he shuffled off to get his clothes and wandered to the counter.
"You sure you don't want it fitted?" The tailor asked as they rung everything up.
Akubi's ears flicked to the side briefly and simply said, "Yes, yes. Now take my money," he shoved the seeds forward. He then started to leave without waiting for change as he slung the bag of his old clothes over his shoulder, "Ready now~."

Care about... W-what? "No!" The ghoul immediately retorted and folded her arms. "Why would I care about you?" ... Baka. Feels a little tsundere up in here.
But that didn't stop her from saving the picture. Especially since she thought it would be the last time she saw him in the suit. Promptly after, the phone was pocketed. "It must be nice, not pondering unnecessary details." There was such a thing as over thinking. Why deny it to herself anymore? "I... Wait, what're you doing?"
He was buying the suit? He was buying the suit.
... He was buying the suit.
And wearing it out, for that matter. Riyo couldn't really say how she felt about that. Was it a loss for her, since she'd said he would look funny in a suit, or a victory for suits everywhere? Mm.
"Why did you buy that?" She asked curiously, brows knitted together as the demoness walked towards the door.

"Because I am the best thing to happen to you since the invention of heated blankets," He announced back at her in a very matter-of-fact way that he had when he felt smug and right about something. Akubi seemed unwilling to budge on whether or not someone liked him.
The boil merely shrugged, "What good does it do me to wonder about things ceaselessly, yes? I mean sometimes I do wonder. I do think about it but then I put the thought down and walk away. I have better things to do." He flicked a casual grin over his shoulder, "Besides I am not a hound, I do not need to gnaw on thoughts like they were bones given to me by a master."
He didn't explain what he was doing because it was obvious.
After they'd exited the store and she asked him why he only shrugged, "You suggested that maybe I needed a wardrobe expansion. So why not start with a suit, yes?"

"How can you be so cocky?!" Riyo shouted, not caring if she disrupted the peace as she reentered public. "Your presence is more like a wet blanket, in my opinion." Well, not really. The truth was he did make things a little more interesting for her. Though she would not define the interesting as good or bad.
And then it was like he was mocking her pondering. "A very wet blanket."
She supposed, however, that the fact he had taken her suggestion was slightly flattering. Riyo did like suits, so she supposed he couldn't have picked better.
Not that she would tell him after that burn. "Maybe next we can get you a plus-sized skirt for when you're in cat form, princess." Looked like they were coming up on their destination anyways. Oh right, she'd lied about needing to come here in the first place.

Akubi flicked an ear at her referring to him as a wet blanket and he shook his head, "I am quite dry, thank you." He replied simply as if unamused by her very bad taste in jokes about his appearance. There was just some things that Akubi apparently wouldn't get not even in a million years. It wasn't that he was idiotic or sheltered.
He just took things literally a lot of the time.
As she tried to insult him he just smiled at her contently, "Just as soon as you dress in a bikini, I will wear all the skirts you want in cat form." He deliberately picked something she would never do. Akubi opened the door to the store and waited for her to wander in.

Riyo contemplated explaining the concept of a wet blanket, but decided that there was no real point.
It wasn't hard to see that the cat ghoul was slightly taken aback by his suggestion as she walked into the store. "I... I could!" She wouldn't. Not in front of anyone else, at least. "One day you'll eat those words. You'll see." But not today. Probably not tomorrow. Or this month, really. "And when that day comes, I will have a skirt custom tailored for your fat a**."

This challenge of hers made his eyes light up and his ears perk up as well, "Really? Sounds delightful. I look forward to that day,"
Honestly, who was Riyo kidding?
Akubi never backed away. Never.

"You still don't believe me, do you?" Not surprising. If the demoness would've listened to the words coming out of her own mouth, she probably would've felt the same way.
"Whatever." Now she was determined to prove it to him. Come Hell, high water, or the fear of being overexposed.
Now, what had she said she needed again? Uh. Sugar?

"Nope~," Akubi replied in a manner that was almost rather sing-songed rather than just said. There was just something about her in a bikini that he just wasn't seeing happening any time soon or ever.
The boil now started meandering about in the store after he got a hold of a cart with an uneven wheel, "Sugar, right?"

Yeah, we'd see about that Akubi. Riyo was bad about her habits, but worse about proving people wrong.
"Oh uh.. Yeah. I guess." Truth be told, the feline might've felt a small pang of guilt at dragging him all the way out here for nothing, and then having the boil spend his money needlessly. It was either let the guilt build or come clean before he actually spent the whole 5 seeds to get the bag of sugar.
"Actually, um..." Might as well blurt it out like she blurted out the lie. "Idon'treallylikesugar."

The truth came out and it only caused him to slowly turn to face her. Calm thin pupils now became wide and excited pupils as a grin spread even more widely across his face. "You do care about me! You made up a lie about needing sugar and now here we are," his arms spread open wide.
There was no movement to go hug her, but he did look like he wanted a hug.
Or to be shoved.
Mostly he was hoping for a hug or something.

Riyo's tail bristled as the boil slowly turned his head to stare at her, proclaiming that she did indeed care and throwing his arms wide open.
Wat.
Wat was this.
Ears folding back, she practically scrunched up where she stood, glancing around at all the other shoppers that were more than likely staring at the spectacle. The only hug Riyo had ever given were incredibly awkward and almost embarrassing. Anger would've been better than this.
So the feline crept towards him, hunched over like an igor, before extending her arms quickly to give him a shove. "NOPE." Affection? What was that? Sounded like a disease to her.

Either he knew what was coming and didn't care or he was honestly expecting a hug from her, what happened next was a series of unfortunate occurrences that came into play because of Akubi's natural aura.
The boil stumbled back a few feet from the push and was unable to get his footing. First thing that got hit was a display of cereal boxes, the second thing was a table collapsed and scooted back under his sudden weight on one side, and finally the table scooted right into a nearby shelf and knocked it over. Then another shelf fell over and a third only tipped but stayed up right.
Liquids oozed on the ground, boxes lay broken with contents spilling out. Shoppers staring.
Akubi just sat there amongst the chaos looking dazed. He'd apparently hit his head pretty hard.

To say Riyo was shocked by the events that followed might've been an understatement.

The ghoul's tail stood straight on end as she watched Akubi tumble back into the produce and caused an almost cataclysmic disturbance in the store. Eyes as wide as saucers, she looked down at her hands in disbelief. Had she shoved him that hard? Surely not. Surely...
... But he looked so out of it. Jack she hadn't meant to be that cruel. Everyone staring must've thought the worst of her. On a normal day it wasn't such a huge deal but she had been in the wrong in the first place. Moreover, she had been conscious of that. ********, what had she done?
Adrenaline now pumping through her system, she shakily reached down to grab his hand and pull him up. "C'mon, we gotta get out of here." Before she was made to pay for all of this.

Akubi didn't fight her attempts to help him up, it was honestly rather easy to get him on his feet, "Okay~...."
He was staring at her sort of oddly for a long moment, "You have pretty hair," a free hand batted at a bit of it now that they were in close proximity for the moment.
Yeah, this wasn't entirely normal behavior.
