"Jack only knows what manner of history those cuffs had!" Mot complained, a pompous expression on his face as he wiped off his hands. "I am cleaning my hands of the tainted history." It was highly possible he was over exaggerating on purpose.
He stopped fussing enough to catch Shun doing rather well in the endeavor. "Shun may be the one who will feed us all tonight." He joked too, wearing a grin once again as he got back to fishing.
Kettil's catch was given a very long and blank stare before it too was cast back. "Indeed..."
Well, eventually they would catch something, right? If Shun was managing, then there had to be fish around here somewhere. Mot's next fight with the line was met without much resistance. Was this fish weak? Small?
. . . It was a sickly looking eel. Grey and almost dead looking, oozing a foul smelling goo and blinking slowly, one eye at a time.
"Eeeeeew....." Mot used one of the wipes to slide the eel off his line.

Shun slowly shook his head at Mot, as he continued to over exaggerate the nature of the cuffs. He soon paused though, as he heard a new voice, speaking some strange language. Turning, he furrowed his brow at the sight of the shark.
"...."
What the hell of was that?
He didn't get to think too long as something foul was brought up by the cowboy.
"Ugh.." he grimaced as he stared at the sickly looking eel. Maybe Mot was right about him feeding them tonight... Frowning, he turned his attention back to his line as he reeled in, only to find..
"What the hell?"
It was a pair of rather... interesting underwear. Grimacing again, he just gingerly pulled it off of his line. Had some people used this pier to have a wild night or something? He didn't want to think about it.

"Poor Eel I wonder what it had..." Kettil mused as he saw Mot's catch and then tilted his head to Shun's catch after he'd cast his line.

He said nothing and it was probably for the best as when he felt resistance on his line which made him reel back in only to have...A magazine at the end of it.

"Okay... seriously, what do people DO in this ocea-----nevermind." Mot felt another tug after some time, and hesitantly reeled it in.
...oh no.
"Uh.. well. Maybe since I have experience with pinching lobsters.. perhaps if I just.." Maybe if he was careful, and predicted the lobsters movements, he could save himself from being pinched, and maybe even snag his first catch!

"YEOWCH!!!" Mot yelped, as the lobster pinched another finger, and flew back into the water with more of his line.

Shun didn't need to read the title of that magazine Kettil had caught to know what it was. Just the image on the cover was enough. The Reaper frowned as he cast his line again. The things people dumped in this ocean... Seriously.
"...You should stop catching those creatures," he stated in a matter of fact tone as Mot had the misfortune to get another lobster.
When it was time, he reeled in his catch, staring as he found an old boot on his line.
"Hmm..."

Kettil flinched sympathetically for Mot and just quietly moved the small first aid kit toward the cowboil with a small helpful smile. "You'll teach those lobsters a lesson one day."
There was a stare from Kettil when he noted the boot that Shun caught, "Aw man...I kept getting those the last time I fished with Mot."
After a few moments he got a much livelier tug on his line that signaled a bit of a fight and as he reeled it in it was a nice healthy looking fish, it seemed to be a salmon. Not quite grown but not quite a 'baby' either. Kettil unhooked it and added it to the bucket.

Mot busied himself with healing his finger, idly watching the other two fish. "Well, that's two of us catching a fish now." Surely he'd get one next, right?

Lo and behold, "vengeance" came again. Mot froze when the creature emerged once more on his line, threatening his line with his little pincers.
"No. No not again, you terrible plague of the ocean!" Mot announced, managing to grab it before it could do any damage and hurling back into the waters from wence it came.
His line, and fingers, were saved.

"There are a lot of boots in the ocean?" Shun asked with a raised brow. That sounded odd to him. Shaking his head, he nodded with approval as Kettil managed to catch a fish finally. As for Mot... he had the misfortune of chancing upon another lobster. At least it didn't harm him this time around.
"The next one you catch, you should keep. Boil it when you get home."
Another tug at his line had him reeling in. It felt like it was something bigger. Or at least heavier. Fighting against it, he pulled it up and out of the water.
"...."
It was an arm. An undead arm. The reaper sighed.

"Dunno about the ocean but there were definitely a lot of boots in the lake we were at. So many boots," he sighed softly. He saw Mot have a victory over the lobster and he grinned a bit.
It was possible that lobsters of the sea were now out to get Mot for some reason...?
He thought he felt a tug at his line already but came up empty. Kettil pouted.

"I am not certain I wish to take chances at capture, Shun." Mot laughed, but soon found himself making a face of revulsion at Shun's catch. "Eeeeeeeeew... that is nasty! Do you suppose someone is looking for that?" Maybe they should put up posters..
Mot felt a tug, and reeled in a magazine... a magazine filled with half naked ghouls. "Oh...dear..."

Shun gingerly took the arm off of his hook, then shrugged at Mot, "Maybe. Most likely they've found a new arm by now though."
As he did this, he noticed that the cowboy wrangled in... another one of those magazines.
"This seems to be a hotspot for questionable objects," he said flatly. While Kettil had come up with nothing, at least it wasn't another pair of panties or something.
Of course, as he said that, he found himself reeling in fuzzy handcuffs.
"I stand by my statement."

"..Could be worse." Kettil observed as he peered over at the magazine Mot managed to fish up.
Kettil let out a short laugh, "At least you got the ghoul version of it...?" He sighed lightly as he cast the line and then after a few moments of feeling resistance again he pulled it back up...With handcuffs attached.
"..Man..I wouldn't think that sort of play would be wise in the water?" Kettil asked softly as he untangled it carefully from his hook.
