Alex Trevell Wolf Guardian X Ah okay, Im glad to see there is a mega man fan. I do wish they made another x game or remade them into better graphics. Actually been thinking of a remake for 1 through 8 that redoes the combat a bit. Instead of just getting one weapon, you can upgrade using parts to improve your characters. oh man....i dont remember the story much now.

They built Blues, who becomes Protoman, together. He malfunctioned and began trashing the lab and they were forced to shut him off. Dr. Wily stole him because Dr. Light wanted to start over. He later stole the first 6 robots, as well as Roll and Rock, two that Dr. Light built on his own. Through lying, Rock was able to get them a chance to escape, and headed back to Dr. Light's lab. The two were soon upgraded to be able to fight, Rock becoming Mega Man. More or less the story. From then on, Dr. Wily wanted them destroyed.

Alex Trevell I'm thinking there should be some sort of Mega Man rp. I have a few ideas for that. A Mega Man Legends idea, a remake of 1-8, and a Maverick Hunter idea. ooo, Mega Man legends... I toyed with an rp of that, but never got far with it. I think I mentioned this to you previously, but I'd like something like this. Although, I'd think the Maverick Hunter or Legends idea would be more interesting, since the robots in those are more like humans. I actually like Legends and Command Mission best of all those games. The ones I've tried, anyhow. Battle Network could also make for a neat rp, although I never got into the actual games.

The battle Network games were ok, but seemed to repeat themselves greatly only adding so much per game. An rp would probably allow for more, as well as a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon rp where we ARE the pokemon.

I'm just gonna blow of some stream here... i love writing plots... IdeaA In 2304, a reverse world was created by Pagaea, known as Pagate. The mother of all things, Pagaea gave her body up to become the vast blue planet. She dropped seeds amongst her great ocean and brought forth the race known as the Pagate's people. In order to aid these great people she gave them Chimera on order to feed them. Pagaea soon noticed her children were longing to see light rather than just the dark ocean floor so she granted some of them the ability to breathe above water and grew forth a tree so large that its top littered the ocean in thick leaves that her people could walk on. In order to allow them to properly walk she sprinkled soil on the tree top then allowed her people to plant their favored plants on the surface. She made them bloom beautifully colored flowers and from them sprung the Nimplics, who flew and bore children from each flowing plants. The Pagate's people adapted, looking their oceanic legs and lungs and began living on the land, they called themselves Zeiliotes. Both races shared with one another toll one day a strong dryad announced, " There is little room left for my people when you and your people cleverly dance upon our grounds, trampling or children!" Thus struck a deep nerve within the Zeiliotes who then decided to use their magic and burn the old dryad's children. "We share the land with you but you insist on not shaking it so we shall kill you!" Exclaimed one of their leaders. In a horror, the old dryad cried at the loss of her children then angrily took up the heart of their land and used it to create humos(genderless humans), who were born in small pods, cared for till old enough to be set upon the greedy Zeiliots. The war began and raged for thousands of years and even now... The Zeiliotes are mischievous by nature and bear animal like features. Most bar long whip- like tails and green blue eyes. Other than it would be a great setting because of the varied landscape; you can go from tropical beaches to frozen mountaintops without going very far. It seems like there's not much to do other than survive, since the rest of the world has been 'nuked' dead. But the shadow people do seem like a viable threat. Maybe a quest to restore the sun? This reminds me of the Shin Megami game 'if...', although I've only read through an LP of it. 'if...' was a predecessor of Persona, which makes for a pretty awesome RP. So I think this one could be really fun. I especially like how the antagonist seems to be perfect on the surface, but then she creates this, possibly even having fun with it. I've seen this kinda game before... it always strikes me as odd that becoming part animal would make one an outcast when it seems potentially awesome because you get the ability of the animal. But you do note that it also changes the mind, and I think you mean that RedVs either become aggressive instinct-following monsters or they become a spirit vampire to the person they love in order to stay somewhat human. That could be an interesting twist, trying to choose the lesser evil. Seems more like a demonic thing to do. Or that they had a human maker, but were 'gifted' life by a demon and told that only the last survivor of them would become a real person. Puppets would be fun to play. Death matches, not so much because you risk getting players mad because their puppet lost. Still, I like that the idea is to try living normal lives as an animated object.

Ysavvryl Ideas! mrgreen Some of it's hard to read, though. But I understand if it's just blowing steam; doesn't always come out neat that way. Sorry, my phone was no cooperating with my brain. I was thinking and not.... exactly spell checking. ^^' Ysavvryl Resists urge to correct it to Pangaea. That sounds like a pretty awesome ecosystem (although who eats what?). Kinda a vague war plot, but could be fun to play with plant people. maybe not the immobile ones, but you know... Right.... It was like 1 in the morning.... I didn't have the mind to go full detail. lol. The first one was an idea from an old book I had started to write up...I purposely made up the words and changed Pangaea to Pagaea.... on purpose. ^^'' The people eat the chimera and the fruit bearing plants..... The Nimplincs survive purely on sunlight and water. The point of the immobile ones is more like an NPC kind of thing... cat_surprised Ysavvryl I'm not much into survival games, but this sounds partly like an old PS1 game called Heart of Darkness. Any particular reason why Hawaii escapes the general world-wide destruction? Other than it would be a great setting because of the varied landscape; you can go from tropical beaches to frozen mountaintops without going very far. It seems like there's not much to do other than survive, since the rest of the world has been 'nuked' dead. But the shadow people do seem like a viable threat. Maybe a quest to restore the sun? Wow, really? Hmm.... Hawaii? Eh, small island so all the characters are sure to meet and it's out in the middle of the ocean so it's ideal that it might have a more likely chance of not getting hit by a stray asteroid due to chance. Yup! That too.... The landscape changes dramatically fast and it's easier than putting it on some other worldly landscape. Ysavvryl This reminds me of the Shin Megami game 'if...', although I've only read through an LP of it. 'if...' was a predecessor of Persona, which makes for a pretty awesome RP. So I think this one could be really fun. I especially like how the antagonist seems to be perfect on the surface, but then she creates this, possibly even having fun with it. Another game I don't recognize. cat_stressed Ah, oh well..... I recognize Persona, it does kind of seem that way. I got the idea from this manga about a flop world with a girl who seemingly enters it with no clue as to what it is.... The people "living" in the parallel world are more zombie-like and everything basically tries to kill you. I'm glad to know that you like this one though. I guess I ended up going on a video game style RP tangent rather than a random tangent. Ysavvryl I've seen this kinda game before... it always strikes me as odd that becoming part animal would make one an outcast when it seems potentially awesome because you get the ability of the animal. But you do note that it also changes the mind, and I think you mean that RedVs either become aggressive instinct-following monsters or they become a spirit vampire to the person they love in order to stay somewhat human. That could be an interesting twist, trying to choose the lesser evil. Now this one I know I was lazy on explaining more of it. Have you ever read Variante, well basically when the RedH or "Red Code Human" is "in love" their hormones rage to the point that their DNA oddly scrambles, causing them to deform into monsters like this: A & BYsavvryl An angel? Seems more like a demonic thing to do. Or that they had a human maker, but were 'gifted' life by a demon and told that only the last survivor of them would become a real person. Puppets would be fun to play. Death matches, not so much because you risk getting players mad because their puppet lost. Still, I like that the idea is to try living normal lives as an animated object. Yeah, like a fallen angel.... I should'a been more specific. Eh...... I essentially meant...(my phone spells things that I am not typing) that their souls are not human, therefore too perfect, so demons flock towards them trying to devour their souls or even corrupt them. Other than that, yeah, it's pretty much simple. There can be humans, the dolls, and then demons who try to corrupt the dolls. So long as the dolls are within the lines of the plot, any other rule bending is fine.... Like mixed breeds of human-angel or human-demon, etc. The dolls don't necessarily grow old though because their bodies are not of flesh, but we can always work out like a revival of the doll as a human if they died tragically or something.

I am interested in some oddball games, ha. Heart of Darkness was a platformer with some adventure style puzzles to it. It's about a boy who doesn't have much for special powers (he gets some, but they're for puzzling solving) who is out to rescue his dog from shadow creatures that are killed only by sunlight. Or a giant laser gun that you only have access to for about a quarter of the game. It was really hard. On the other hand, 'if' was about a Japanese high school that ends up being moved to hell by a popular student (I think he's even the student council president) in a bid for power. You play as another student who goes around making pacts with demons to fight alongside you to figure out how to escape, or how to return the whole school. It's Japanese only, so I could never play it myself. Apparently, it's even harder. I haven't read Variante, but that clarification does make the idea sound cooler. Especially when you've got hormonal teenagers to deal with, lol. Although I'm not sure I'd play that one myself, it sounds like an interesting twist on typical teenage romance games. The puppet idea is interesting too, still has that angle to trying to live normally, but can simultaneously have fantastic elements and supernatural powers around. A fallen angel could work. Maybe he's not as vengeful as others and is trying to adapt to normalcy too. Or maybe he's got devious plans. Lots of possibilities there. I don't mind original games, but it is a little easier to work with established worlds. There's usually more material on the whole world without excessive effort on part of the game's creator. Plus you might get interest from people who are interested in the established game/movie/book world but might not look at most RPs. Haha, and I understand about trying to write things while up late. Not typing on a phone, though I've heard about how that complicates things. Then again, sometimes trying to explain ideas in that kind of state might inspire expansions or other ideas.

Oh cool! I like the sound of that game, I can kind of innings where you sure coming from with that concept to how my idea reminded you of it. Any game that has a puzzle challenge always gives easy for an incredible growth in character.
The second one, 'If' sound even better. I'm not surprised it's a Japanese game. They always have made harder to play games with more critical thinking. In order to win games there's kind if always been that scenario of his four character meshes with other characters in their games. It makes the outcome of the ending less predictable I think.
That's fine if you don't, it was just one of several plots. It's always easy to think about five to ten more in an hour or so. The thread did easy ideas, through, so it didn't mean all ideas turned out into something. I figured it was a little harder to Rp multi player as a matter of kicking up your post among several other conversations.... but it's not based to continue it's just a peeve of mine that they are like that. That's why group effort Rps seem less messy to me. Which... Eh... if you ask me is purely my opinion.
You're right on that segment, it is hard to collect people on a new conversely but it's always worth a try. Roleplays always turn out different but if the plot is unique than the catch of the story seems to last longer than most others. Unique ideas often inspire, O believe, but then again... it's purely opinion. It's always up through, if anyone ever wants to shoot for it.
Lol, yeah, I essentially only have phone internet. I haven't had actually internet UN about two years now. Sucks but such is life. I'm seriously adapting... it's not perfect though, but when is anything?

I have a Fire Emblem styled rp that focuses on a different set of classes apart from the game, though some are similar or from the game. Weapons and armor will be the key, as well as skills. Characters can die or get injured in battles, and it focuses on the user choices, I.E. the players. They affect various aspects of the story, while steered gently towards a primary goal here or there. Already started working on weapon, armor, skill, and spell ideas, as well as promotions for each class.

So, the current game I'm running is being slow, other games I'm in have had GMs vanish or have unavoidable delays. I was thinking about trying out running a group game on Gaia again, and this seems like a good place to start. I just have to decide what subject to start building from.
Would people be interested in a Persona-like game, where you are attending a mysterious boarding school and get pulled into fighting supernatural and psychological horrors with guardian spirits that represent your character's personality? The characters usually relate to various Tarot cards, which make for fun building them. I love this kind of game, but haven't run one myself.
Or how about a Pokemon game? I usually run Pokemon RPs. In fact, I have one great game based on Pokemon Coliseum that works with the Shadow Pokemon. But I can also build PMD settings and regular Trainer games... and a Pokemon Mage/Wizard setting that I'm currently using elsewhere.
Since there was also some talk earlier about Mega Man, I could try that out. I'd be more interested in the reploid era, the Legends era, or the Battle Network AU (been reading a lot about it).
Just looking to see what interest is out there. smile I'd be happy playing/running any of those.

Alex Trevell I'd probably be interested in either a pokemon or mystery dungeon setting, as well as the Legends or X series. I'd be apt to join any of those 4. I don't really know much about Persona, but I have a friend that plays the games a lot. Well there's a lot that can be done with Persona, and there's detailed wikis out there... but anyhow, other than doing another Pokemon game, I had further ideas for Mega Man. I thought I hadn't been in any game like that, but then I remembered that quite a few years ago, I actually did play in one! I think it was even the first RP online that I'd joined (and they let me take a fairly important role even though I admitted that!). While I don't have exacts on that game, I can remember some of the story and adapt it into a new game. It's a 'what if' scenario that considers what would happen if Zero and Dr. Wily's plans for androids were found before X and Dr. Light's plans. Things start off well, but then Zero gets overtaken by Wily's plans for total vengeance without anyone around able to stop him. So he ends up wrecking the world, enslaving reploids with the virus and humans with force, then ruling a dystopian empire. Some time into this bad future, X is finally discovered and rebels make plans to overthrow Zero and his empire. However, X is newly awakened and thus not yet able to fight Zero on equal grounds... and that's where the game starts.

Ysavvryl Alex Trevell I'd probably be interested in either a pokemon or mystery dungeon setting, as well as the Legends or X series. Haven't done many 'what if' rp's, so it would be a fresh change.
