He gave her a pat on the back and Junko rolled her eyes. "You don't do hugs." Junko giggled, giving Mac a squeeze before she let him go. "You sounded like you needed one, though." At least she was smiling again. Mac's awkwardness had been enough to relieve a bit of her tension.

"No, I love hugs." Mac insisted sternly; it was true, he really did. "I just know better than to touch a sad ghoul alone when we're alone in my room." He explained, completely pokerfaced on the issue. Apparently he had been bitten before, and never again.
"But thanks, I guess. How are you feeling?" Hopefully no longer wanting to throw poor, defenceless pieces of chocolate?

Okay, now Junko was confused. It was clear just by the look on her face. "Whhhat.."
And then it clicked.
"Mac, I'm not going to have sex with you just because I'm sad." Now it was her turn to pokerface.
When asked how she was feeling she sighed and shrugged, rubbing the back of her neck. "Better and not better at the same time..I don't know if that makes any sense...but it's how I feel. And tired, very tired." Physically and emotionally, really.

Mac only rolled his eyes; he knew that, of course, but he wasn't about to leave it open to interpretation, either. Not that anyone was watching them or would have known what had happened, but still...he was paranoid sometimes, okay? Okay.
"No, that makes sense. I get it. Feel free to take a nap here if you want. It's not your dorm, which might help clear your head." He offered, gesturing towards his bed just before reaching back to tap his closed laptop, which sat idly on the desk. "I have homework to do anyway." Which meant he wouldn't be a bother.

Junko was taken aback by Mac's offer to let her nap in his dorm. He had a point though, her room had so many reminders of Seiji...she didn't think she could handle it right now to be surrounded by that, and she didn't want to go out in public feeling this way. She had a feeling her face was probably a mess too..she could wash it after a nap. A nap seemed really appealing, yeah. "Thank you, Mac." She said quietly, walking to the bed and taking off her shoes. There was a moment's hesitation after that. Her kimono...it would wrinkle. And her skirt..and..
Hnnng...no. She would not undress in front of Mac, not a single layer. That was not okay.
She lifted the blanket and climbed into bed, curling up and getting comfortable. Junko closed her eyes and fell quiet, doing her best to fall asleep...but there was something bothering her. It had bothered her since Mac had flat out said he disliked her before offering her kind advice. Her eyes opened and looked around to find the boil, stopping when she did. "Mac? Why don't you like me?" She had only disliked him intially because he'd been a complete a** when they'd met, but then after that...she had just been reacting to his own attitude toward her as far as she was aware.

Junko left his desk and headed towards his bed, and he slipped into the chair she had just been sitting in, pulling it back up to his desk. As he opened his laptop and logged on he took a side glance at the ghoul, who seemed to be hesitating. Clothing, maybe? All that seemed like a b***h to wear to bed, with all those bows and whathaveyou.
"I have shirts and pants and whatnot if you need them~" He offered distractedly, looking back at his computer and tapping lightly at the keys. Her question drew him back to her, and he leveled an almost blank look on her. Why didn't he like her? Somehow, that question seemed familiar; didn't she already ask him that once? Hrm. Well, he must have forgotten, which was very plausible.
"Because Lizzy always liked you over me, and because you seemed to enjoy when you could cause me grief through her." He shrugged, taking off his hat to drape it on the corner of his ornate chair and run his hands through his hair. "And I have no reason to like you now, even if that stuff's over." He just couldn't let an almost-enemy suffer through a breakup that meant a lot...plus, the whole crying ghoul thing.
Plus, he kind of held grudges.

The offer of shirts and pants was a relief. But was it appropriate? Ehhh...
She sat up in the bed and looked down at herself. This really wasn't something she ever wanted to be laying down in...maybe it would be okay. Mac was a lot taller than her, and he was bigger than her, so his clothes would fit her slim body okay, right? "Oh, thank you." Junko climbed out of bed and moved to his dresser, avoiding the top drawer because of reasons and instead trying the ones below it. T-shirt get, sweatpants get. Perfect. She disappeared into the bathroom to change, washing her face while she was there. Her own clothes were folded neatly and set down on the floor beside the bed before she got back into it. Ahhh, much better.
She was just in time for Mac to answer her question and it actually confused her. Lizzy..liked Junko over Mac? She frowned. "That's impossible. She loved you, she wanted to marry you...I'm just her friend." Junko couldn't believe what she had just heard. He disliked her because he was an idiot, basically. "I only did that because you were an a*****e when we first met." The ghoul rolled her eyes, though she frowned when he said he still didn't have a reason to like her. Well that sucked...she'd tried when he had been dating Lizzy but..he just...
Mmf.
"What if I gave you reasons?" Junko offered curiously, picking idly at the edge of the blanket. She was tired but that didn't mean she wasn't going to wonder about things until her body gave up on being conscious. "What if we tried again? Like, legit friends. Not...hey let's try and tolerate each other to make Lizzy happy?"
