"Oh, I do!" Cotton blushed, thinking about Cupcake again. She was enjoying this walk, it was really fun! And Jayme was so nice! She wondered if Jayme had anyone, with being so cute and sweet and all, surely she did. "Oh, so what about you? Do you have a boyfriend or anything?"
"I may be a model, but I've got brains," Tulip defended, her tone then softening, however, "But it's nice that you're watching out for him." She was about to voice her concern over how delicate he seemed, but thought twice since Jayme could obviously hear them.
The three girls went off into the store at the waving of the Aggron and Tillie went to work, sorting the store while the other three chatted and looked for things for Cotton.

Jayme shook his head even as he answered "No I don't. I know Urban...and then there's my manager Reese...and of course Zevian who's one of the other singers, and Ghede..but he likes Urban I think." it was hard to tell. "Really don't get the chance to meet other people much...but a boyfriend some day sure would be nice."
"Beauty and brains, I love beautiful smart chicks. They got the whole package going on." he winked at Tulip and moved off to another part of the store though he watched Jayme laughing and enjoying himself. Yeah the kid needed this!
"Oh, Tulip what do you think about this for Cotton's date?" he held up a pair of pants then looking them over.

"Hmmm, maybe?" Tulip replied. "Let's try to find a shirt first, since it'll be the band and all. We'll have to match everything to it. Oh, but put that away, hold on to it for now." It was like she was directing a play. But she just wanted it all to be perfect of Cotton.
"Oh, I think it'll be okay, Tulip, really! I mean, he said I could wear an old sack and look good in it!" She cooed.
"As sweet as that was, I'll not have you wearing a sack to your date!" She allowed herself a giggle and began helping the other two look for things.

"Wear an old sack?" the phrase was not one he'd heard before really.
Jayme kept the pants draped over his arm, and moved down to the shirts, occasionally hearing Tillie muttering about how people were so disorganized.
"Oh here's this shirt..." he held it up then eying it. "Seems a little oddly cut at the arms here though." he started to put it back then with a shake of his head. "Maybe not that one." little did he know it was supposed to look like that!

"Oh, no, no, no, wait!" Tulip flustered, waving her hands around. She grabbed the shirt back off the rack and looked it over. "Yeah, okay..." She draped it over her arm. "This might work."
Cotton seemed completely oblivious to what Tulip had just grabbed, but also didn't seemed to mind in the least. She was staring off, a smile plastered on her face. It was odd to see someone so genuinely happy like this.
Tulip started rummaging through the stockings and shorts after she'd snagged the shirt. She kept muttering the color "purple" as she looked through everything. Eventually she looked up to Jayme and asked, "Could you help me find some purple leggings or something like that please? Something to match this purple, preferably." She held up the shirt and pointed to the purple of the Haunter on it.

"Really? But...it's cut really weird at the side, and I think it'll show a lot of skin...?" how utterly baffled Jayme was at this concept. Why would anyone want a shirt that didn't cover properly?
There was a nod at Tulips question and he looked at the purple on the Haunter and began to move clothes around on the racks and there, hidden was the purple 'something' that Tulip had been wanting. "How's this look Tulip? Oh no...this has a tear or something..." it was held up for her to look at though he was shaking his head again.
"These clothes don't look to be in very good shape..." the holes, tears, cuts, etc...it was baffling to him that anyone would purposely buy clothes that looked this way!

Tulip couldn't help but laugh at the naivety of Jayme, "Honey, I see there's a lot you don't know about this type of fashion." The Venusaur walked over, a sweet smile on her face. She took the purple leggings from him with a vine and patted him lightly on the shoulder with a hand. She leaned in to whisper, "They're meant to show a lot of skin. It's 'sexy.'" She made airquotes with her vines after the one lay the leggings across her arm.
Cotton had wandered off a little, muttering incoherently to herself. She was looking at the different styles of clothing on the racks, but couldn't make out the sizes or colors. Regardless, she had complete faith in Tulip and Jayme.
Tillie, on the other hand, was still busy organizing the store. She'd finished with everything up front and had moved on to the back, much to the surprised joy of the clerks.

Jayme was blinking at Tulips words, looking genuinely surprised. "This is a proper fashion?" how utterly surprising it was! "Sexy...." and look at the poor boy turn a nice red color. He'd never thought about dressing sexy, it was a foreign concept really. Covering felt best, but maybe that was his way of keeping it from being immediate knowledge he wasn't a woman.
"I guess that makes sense...all the girls I see with boyfriends tend to dress....well not like me..." and he glanced down at himself with a wry smile. "No wonder no guy ever looks at me." and there...a soft wistful smile given. Still, he couldn't bring himself to wear tighter clothes. Could he? He looked long and hard at a pretty top, and picked it up...along with a skirt that picked up colors from the shirt.
"Maybe....maybe I'll try these on..." words soft, shy really and he did move towards the dressing room, tugging everything on, and he stepped out after a few moments. The neck of the shirt slipped down and exposed a shoulder, the collar was missing, giving it that slouched look. The shirt was black with pink through it, and the skirt he'd picked out was short...well shorter than he was used to, it only reached his thighs, and he tugged lightly on the bottom of it, still blushing.
It wasn't a bad look on him though, and did lend an air of sexiness to the flushed teen who was fiddling nervously with his hair. "H...how does this look Tulip?" words were soft, he was too nervous to even look at the mirror. Urban had glanced up from where he was looking at things surprised to see Jayme in something like that, but offered no comments. Let the woman answer he figured.
Instead he moved to Cotton. "Everything okay babe?" well she was muttering away at herself, muttering usually meant something was bothering the mutterer.

"Oh, honey..." Tulip frowned at the mention of Jayme not getting a boyfriend. "You just haven't met the right guy yet." She placed a vine on his shoulder as he began to walk off, around the different racks, picking up things that seemed to be for himself. "Besides, those girls that dress like that are looking for the wrong attention, hon." The vine slipped off as he entered the dressing room. She had a feeling he wasn't listening, too busy mulling things over in his own head.
She smiled warmly as he stepped out. She could feel he wasn't comfortable, so she decided she'd help him a bit, by speaking the truth. Walking up to the little Teddiursa teen, she cupped his face in her hands and brought him close, so that he couldn't look at anything much but her. With a very serious, but kind tone she spoke, "You are gorgeous no matter what you wear. You remember that, okay? No matter what anyone says, real beauty comes from in here." She removed a hand and poked him gently in the chest, where his heart would be.
"Now," she stepped back and looked him over, "How do you feel? 'Cuz that's more important. If you feel awkward, you'll look awkward. If you feel confident, powerful, beautiful, you'll be that."
"Oh!" Cotton blinked as she turned to face Urban. "Oh, no, I mean yes... I'm fine." She smiled, obviously embarrassed. "Just... um, well... looking." He head wings fluttered at the last word. "Oh... I guess that's the best way to describe it." She laughed, an odd little trembling sort of thing. She wasn't intimidated by Urban (she didn't know enough to be), she just didn't know how to explain the fact that she was blind, in the normal sense.

"Maybe that's the case...certainly better thank thinking I'm supposed to go through life alone." there was soft tone to his voice, and the usual smile that was present was missing. It was easy to see the idea bothered the teen a lot. It made him feel as if maybe he was undeserving of love and affection from a special someone. It wouldn't have surprised him if someone told him as much. There was a quiet smile given to her words and a nod. He understood the sort of attention she meant, but Cotton didn't seem like the sort of girl looking for that sort of attention.
Jayme was more than a little surprised when Tulip came up to him and took his face in her hands, and he looked at her, not trying to pull away. Her words though brought tears to his eyes and he shifted suddenly and hugged her tightly. "Thank you Tulip. I think these can go back on the racks...because I feel so under dressed..." that was an understatement! "I've never felt confident...or any of those things."
Urban gave a smile at Cotton, a low chuckle given. "Anything in particular you're looking for doll? You look a little lost, maybe I can help you find it." see not a total a** really. He knew how to reign in that part of him. Sometimes.
He noticed Jayme stepping out in weird looking (on Jayme) clothes, but left it at that. Let his friends tell him whatever. At this point, he was checking out the fine babe standing next to him.

The hug was reciprocated two fold. "Honey, you just need a day with me. We'll find your confidence." She spun Jayme around and urged him back into the dressing room. "Now, go change into something that more you." She smiled at him sweetly and waited for him to change. Once out, she linked her arm in his, leaving the discarded clothes on the return rack. "Let's see what more we need for Cotton, shall we?" She winked and led him back to look for the last few things they needed.
"Oh, um... no, not really..." Cotton giggled softly. "Just... um... browsing?" Her bubbly air lent to her fluffiness.

That hug...oh how nice it felt! Jayme hugged back tightly, basking in the warmth from Tulip and that hug, a soft look in his eyes. It was easy to see the affection was doing him a world of good. He couldn't help a soft giggle at her declaring they'd find his confidence. He didn't think he had any honestly.
He went back in to change and stepped out, nodding his head and wandering with Tulip. It was easy to see he really liked the Venasaur woman. She felt so motherly!
Urban gave a nod, and a chuckle. "Alright cutie. If you need anything, just ask. I'll leave you to browsing, looks like your friend over there is about done anyhow." and there he went, moving away as Jayme and Tulip started to come towards Cotton clothing in hand. Yep, he wanted nothing to do with clothing being tried on.

On the way back to Cotton, Tulip had noticed Urban and felt an overwhelming urge to be a little coy. As they neared, she caught his eye and gave him a playful glare and made a "shewing" motion with her vines, then immediately stuck out her tongue.
"Alright, sweetie" the Venusaur addressed Cotton, unhooking her arm from Jayme's so they could deposit the clothes on the Flaffbat. "I think we have everything except for a few accessories, which we'll grab once we figure out what you want to wear and what colors we need."
"Oh, okay," She smiled as the clothing was piled on her awaiting arms. She knew the drill.
Tulip promptly guided her to the dressing room, motioning for Jayme to follow, mouthing, "Come help" with a smile. Cotton was able to dress herself, but it took longer. Tulip had taken a seat on a stool close by so she could rest her feet. "Never go shopping in heels," she remarked, though she was wearing flats. "It's hell." She chuckled and stretched her arms upwards as they waited. "So, tell me hon, what do you do for a living?" She was all for idle chitchat.

Urban grinned at Tulip and winked at her as he did indeed shoo, and moved to another part of the store keeping half an eye on Jayme. He didn't think he'd get into much trouble, but better safe than sorry.
Jayme was more than fine with tagging along to 'help' even if that help was sitting there waiting to give his rather clueless opinion. Looking down at Tulips feet he laughed softly. "Oh...not a problem there, I don't own any heels. I don't like the feeling of wobbling around on the thin heels. I'm always afraid they'll snap."
He was so unused to people being so nice, and so sweet to him, that being called 'hon' and all was strange, but so very nice! That and her taking such a genuine interest. That was nice too.
"Oh uhm...I'm a singer at a night club. It's on the East side of town, called The Stardust." the East side...also known as the 'not so good side of town' a little more run down, a little shabbier. Fine through the day but iffy at night."Been singing there for as long as I can remember...though I don't like it there. I'd like to sing somewhere new."

"Yeah, never a good feelin', snapping a heel." Tulip gave an exaggerated frown at her feet. It'd happened a few time to her when the agency tried to put her in some spindly ones. She was a bigger girl and those shoes just could not handle her weight. Not that she cared, she was very comfortable with her image.
"A singer? Oooooo, do tell!" Tulip scooted her seat closer to Jayme. She made a face when he mentioned the Stardust club. She wasn't familiar with it, but she had heard of its... history. She silently wondered why in the world such a sweet little thing was working there of all places. Surely he could do better. She was comforted when he mentioned that it wasn't his ideal place, though. "I'm sure you'll find a good place to be, honey bear!" She smiled sweetly and cupped his cheek in her hand, stroking it with her thumb. "You just keep that pretty little chin of yours up, okay?" She winked and poked him on the nose playfully.
