Ryan stared at the spot Zoom had been. The other male really did take after his name didn't he? The next question that ran through Ryan's mind was...what had he just done? Did he honestly say maybe to the possibility of starting a family with a stranger? This wasn't like with his parents. At least they had talked to each other for more than one day.
Yet...this was the most fun Ryan had had since he could remember. Surely it wouldn't be that bad to give it a shot? The line of silent questioning was cut short as the object of his thoughts returned. Ryan laughed. "I did; but you didn't have to do all that," he said, motioning to the flowers and candy. "Though it is sweet." His smile grew. "Besides, you did what my dad never did for mom. He might have figuratively swept mom off her feet; but he never did it figuratively and literally."

Zoom seemed cutely surprised when Ryan said he didn’t have to get the flowers and chocolate. Laughing a bit nervously as he rubbed the back of his head . . . maybe he did jump the gun a bit. He just . . . well . . . it was exciting, the thought of possibly having a family. Sure this guy was a stranger but from the moment Zoom caught sight of him . . . well the kid kept him curious and smiling to say the least. Not many managed to hold his interest this easy.
Not that he could come out and say stuff like THAT to him. Flirts and minor lines of dork-hood was the best Zoom tend to manage. “I have been told I can be a bit eccentric if I don’t watch myself.” Now he was wondering just how much a fool he had made himself. “You can always tell me to go away if you don’t like it, or shut up though.” He smiled nodding a bit at that perhaps used to people doing such to him or trying to get him back to his reasonable sense. “I may have . . . just got a bit overly excited with a maybe . . . “

Ryan raised an eyebrow. "Just a bit overly excited?" If running off and getting flowers and candy right then and there was just a bit, Ryan wasn't sure what a totally overly excited reaction might be. The corner of his mouth twitched, as if trying to make his smile even larger. "You say eccentric like its a bad thing."
He brought the flowers up to his nose, catching just the faintest trace of what the flowers would have smelt like had they not been ravaged by the wind. "Bah...Why would I tell you to go away? Especially after you did this?"

Zoom chuckled and rubbed the back of his head as Ryan questioned what he did to be ‘just a bit’. Moving to sit by the willow tree again allowing himself to relax and catch his breath more. “Everything can be a bad thing when there is too much of it.” He chuckled some at that glancing to the boy slightly although he was starting to feel a bit embarrassed now.
His eyes soften some though as the other questioned about sending him away. “Because I was told it could be scary.” He said softly, and he suppose a random stranger doing that to him . . . nah even to him it wouldn’t be scary. He smirked shaken his head again. “I never had a family though, never been part of one. So . . . I may have gone without thinking.” He admitted his voice growing more quiet now. “or considering your feelings on the matter.”
