"Caught red handed." Etzer replied with a cheeky grin, clapping Molan on the back with ease. He was completely oblivious as to what was going on, just assuming Xiu was turning red because of the gift.
"I would love some more of that booberry tea. It was quite a delight." He glanced to his brother, grinning. "I'm sure you'd make a forever friend if you made Molan here some spookies." It was now that Etzer glanced to Molan, head tilting curiously.
"... did you do something?"

Etzer really had no idea, and Molan didn't feel like enlightening him. It felt a little awkward to accept a lunch invitation from Xiu at that point; she really was being too nice, but it would seem odd to say no suddenly to his brother when the she herself was ok with it. He offered a delicate smile to her kind note before giving his brother a look.
Had he just referred to him as if he was some kind of pet. ...nevermind he wasn't going to feel bad about this at all. Nope. Not in the least bit. Though he had to admit, the spookies sounded lovely. He kind of wanted her recipe. "While I would enjoy them, I'm not a dog, Etzer." He was closely related to a fox. There was a huge difference. He he wasn't about to be just bought off with a single batch of cookies. That wasn't nearly enough.
Though his brother's question to him didn't garner much of a reply, just a look as he tilted his head to one side. "We had an entertaining conversation?" And that was about as much of a reply as his brother was going to get as he looked to the ghoul again, somewhat cheerily since it seemed she was awkward enough with the whole situation now. Solved and solved, he wouldn't end up a third wheel left behind in less than a week at this point, right? Well enough, but they were to a point of needing to follow her if they were all going.

There was a long, drawn out silence when Xiu finally got the package open, but it was not of the negative variety. No, this pause was spurned on by genuine shock at the loveliness of the gift. Slowly, she lifted the dress out of its packaging, temporarily setting the latter on the floor. "This is--Etzer, did you make this?"
At a loss for words, she simply stared at the pretty garment before giving a little shake of her head. Folding it up carefully, it gently tucked it back into its packaging before stepping forward to give the frost demon a sudden hug. "Thank you, it's beautiful! You really shouldn't have, though! I can't imagine how much time it must have taken." Up until now, most of her clothing had been designed and made for her by her beloved uncle. This was the first time she had gotten such a gift from a friend.
Her face still flushed, she watched the exchange between the two brother with a hint of nervousness, backing Molan's answer up with a quick nod of her head. "We just chatted for a bit. Shall we get going upstairs, now? It'll take a bit to cook, so I'd best get started soon." With a smile, she turned her back to them and began to make her way to the stairs.

"I didn't call you a dog. You're a fox and I'm sure Xiu would love to hold you on her lap." Really, what had gotten into his brother? Raising a skeptical eyebrow at Molan, Etzer smiled as he hugged Xiu back, all too glad that she liked the gift.
"I like to design clothes, but as Molan can tell you, I can't wear much of what I design. It ends up on the floor." Etzer gave a small chuckle. "And it really took no time at all." Once Xiu turned and went, the frost demon moved to follow.

Well, the fact she liked the gift was a given. Despite the fact he didn't wear anything he brother made. It was bad. He just didn't find the clothes that comfortable, so he really just chose not to wear anything. Not for lack of Etzer's trying every so often. There were those one of two times, but he'd always just kind of wanted to sit there and simply wait for it to be over. They weren't bad clothes, just not his thing. So it was only a given that Xiu liked the gift, though from what he could tell his conversation hadn't done much good with anything.
Either it didn't set in, or worse. Maybe Xiu liked his brother back and this only advanced that relationship along more. Oh, he might have done something kind of bad then. Very bad for him anyway. Etzer, on the other hand, might be overjoyed if that was the case. Which it was good he'd be happy, but then...
He merely glanced off, sort of staring at the wall as they wandered after her. Molan didn't particularly want some cute little cuddly meal happen so he'd still come with, but his content mood was quickly dropping to abysmal level again. This wasn't turning out to be normal at all. Sure school wasn't the same, but... now everything was just going wrong. He merely gave a quiet 'mmm' of a reply to Etzer's comment, nodding a bit while watching the halls as they went. In truth he kind of wanted to just go back to his room and hide under a blanket for a while, at least it wouldn't keep adding to the mess. Then he couldn't be to blame for making it worse. It'd just happen without him, but now... now he was the central cause of all this chaos.
Brilliant.Kaiyumi Feed him a few cookies and he'll grump in a corner. Kanth 'OH JACK... I HELPED THIS RELATIONSHIP ALONG?'

"That uh, nosebleed issue certainly is inconvenient," She commented dryly, looking vaguely amused as she head up the stairs. Considering that their rooms were all in the same dorm, it really didn't take long until they reached her room. The moment she pushed open the door, two light-colored blurs darted forward to greet her, while a darker minipet slowly followed after them.
"Woah! Hey now, guys, we have guests!" The two lighter colored minis--Arashi and Shu, a Storm Melonkit and Dream Blossom respectively--suddenly froze, casting each other a glance before moving forward to wind around the brothers' legs in greeting. The Nightmare Flower on the other hand sat back at a distance, eying the pair warily as Xiu carefully moved to set Etzer's gift down on a table for now.
With a smile, she gestured towards the couch. "Why don't you two make yourselves at home? I won't be long, and I'll bring some snacks and tea out for you two while I work."

"Yeah, but I've gotten used to it." Etzer commented, before smiling at the minipets. He bent down to scratch the Dream Blossom behind an ear, glancing up to Xiu. "I didn't see these ones before, are they new? Or were they just hiding?"
He noticed that Molan was moping, and Etzer just could not figure out why. He glanced at his brother, a quizzical look in his eyes.

He listened quietly to the chatter, not really feeling the need to partake in it as he trudged along with them. Which wasn't very long considering that they were, in fact, all in the same dorm. It was really only inconvenient when people were bothered by it, or their father got upset about the whole family name and pride thing. That was about it. At this point, it was just another day for him. And Etzer for that matter.
As the door swung open they were greeted by a rather cute little trio, to pale things and a darker one that seemed... to have no interested in them. Well that was fine, the first two seemed friendly enough, after greeting their keeper they'd taken to trying to garner some affection from the two boils. Which seemed to work, as Etzer gave one a quick scratch and Molan shifted to give Arashi a few strokes as he ignored the look from his brother. Nope, he had nothing to say, he was more likely to talk to the Melonkit at this point anyway. He did briefly glance up at the ghoul as she spoke before looking back to the pet, wondering if it permitted being held. Probably... safer to assume it might not like that and just give it a few pets. "They're very sweet." Nope, not talking to Etzer at all.
Though he was a bit curious if he'd manage to get the other darker one over, they all looked well natured enough. Still stroking with one hand through the first pet's fur he lifted the other toward the dark figure that was eyeing him, watching it curiously as he tried to click his tongue lightly wondering if it would come. "I'm harmless, really."
Though, Regalia was going to be rather upset with him when he got home smelling like other pets.

Xiu laughed as she returned from the kitchen, holding a tray that held a few baked treats and some chilled booberry tea. "They were hiding the last time you dropped by. Arashi has been here with me since my first year, and Shu and Jian were originally my uncle's minis." She had been rather surprised when he sent them to her upon reaching her second year. Apparently he had had a feeling that she would need an extra pair of protectors to keep her safe.
"Please help yourselves," She smiled, setting the tray down on the coffee table and gesturing towards the couch, "I'll whip up a quick lunch. It won't be anything super fancy, but I can at least guarantee that it'll be good." Or, er, hopefully anyways. Otherwise she would have failed her duties as hostess.
The baku paused on her way back to the kitchen to watch the two boils interact with her minis, looking vaguely amused by just how pleased the two light-colored minis were with all the attention. Jian, on the other hand, was standing by as sulky as ever...that was, until Molan tried to get him to come over. There was a moment of pause, and then the Nightmare Flower obediently trotted forward to seat himself in front the demon boil.
"He likes you," She chirped, looking genuinely surprised. Either he was in a good mood, or the mini was just particularly willing to socialize today. In either case, he stared up at Etzer and Molan with wary--but not unfriendly--eyes. With a smile and a shake of her head, Xiu ducked back into the kitchen to finish making the meal.

Booberry tea. She'd remembered! He took up a glass and sipped it slowly, sitting on the couch as he smiled at Molan and the Nightmare Flower. He would let Molan have this one, as he seemed to be upset and Etzer wasn't sure why.
Hopefully the minipet would help in cheering him up.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Xiu." Etzer smiled, lifting up the glass in thanks.

He listened as she explained the pets a bit, tilting his head to one side. So they didn't always come out to see people? Well that was good, it just meant he got to see them, which was all the better.
He did perk up a bit at the sight of the tray, but was properly distracted with kneeling down to tend to the previously one, now two minipets he'd managed to garner the interest of. She got an idle 'mmhmm' without much of a look at the mention of food, but it was obvious he wasn't nearly as grumpy with them all. People judged and could cause trouble, pets... pets meant well. Even Storm, who was an absolute pain, was sweet deeeep down. Below the frigid biting exterior that was highly territorial. Somewhere in that little ball of fluff. Which was actually why he tended to try to get along with just about any pet someone had. So he was properly pleased with the two little ones.
The darker of the two was offered his hand to look at before he reached to pet it as well, slowly moving to scratch behind it's ears, maybe it's chin if it would let him. Xiu had said that he liked him, so he'd just have to find the 'magic' spot. Each animal had a point or two they preferred, it was a matter of finding it. Not that he was ignoring Arashi either, he was still stroking the pale creature lightly and breaking monotony up with a scratch here and there. It was just that the more timid of the two had a bit more information, it was more likely to suddenly have a mood swing or do something new. It was the same with Id and Regalia. Id would put up with anything, but Regalia was fussy and had to be pet JUST SO. Otherwise he'd flounce off in a huff.
...actually in truth, while he didn't mind a good scratch behind the ears in his natural form. He understood their points. Random pets were nice, but honestly only a master, or perhaps the owner who knew, could pet you properly. Oh well, he'd just have to learn if he was going to need to coexist with this Xiu person. Seeing as his brother seemed to want to keep her around...
There went a bit of his mood again. Oh well, he'd just pet them a bit more and get a spookie in a minute. This was Etzer's fault anyway. At least she wasn't so bad... couldn't be if her pets were nice.

The minipets were more than happy to receive attention, and even though it was rare for Jian to pay Xiu's visitors much mind, even he seemed pleased by the scratching behind his ears and under his chin. Of course, his expression didn't change--he looked as impassive and grumpy as ever--but the slight flick of his tail was an indication that he was quite enjoying himself. The room was pretty much filled with the sound of an odd purring as Arashi and Jian pressed themselves up again Molan, and as Shu went to hop onto Etzer's lap.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen...well. To be truthful, Xiu really did not know what the two brothers preferred. It didn't seem as if frost demons had any particular kind of diet, so...perhaps a little of everything would suffice, just in case, right?
By the time she was done, the baku had a rather vast spread of food laid out along the counters. Perhaps she had overdone it just a little. Eying everything with a wry smile, she let out a sigh and began to carry everything out. There were sandwiches, platters of meats, cheese, and veggies, small salads--basically, she had taken care to cover all of her bases.
All of them. They were generally simple foods, but she hoped the large spread made up for that.
"Ahaha, um...well, I'm not sure what you two typically eat, so..." A sheepish shrug, and then she gestured towards the table, "Help yourselves...?"

Grinning and putting all of his attentions on the minipets, Etzer cooed to them happily as Xiu finished making the food, and then he reached out for a sandwich.
"Thank you, Xiu," Etzer stated, not realizing he'd dropped the formality as he bit into his sandwich. He so loved her food, and he really didn't have a preference, as she made everything amazing.

Molan had been quite happy to sit on the floor, tail flicking back and forth happily as he lavished the two with a bit of attention. He'd meant to go grab a spooky after a minute or two, however one turned into two, three, four... well he wasn't keeping track really. The fact remained he didn't bother paying too much attention until the ghoul spoke up again, blinking at the rather... large array of food she'd made. He didn't look like he ate that much did he? "..alot." It was muttered quietly under his breath as he tried to figure out why there was so much. And promptly gave up. Pointless anyway.
He offered the pair of pets a small smile and a final pat on their heads before slowly starting to stand as he spoke. "If Xiu is ok with it, I'll see if you can have some too." He chimed quietly before starting over and finally catching a spooky in his hand. While he was still rather cross with his brother, Xiu was being... rather nice. It wasn't like she knew about that or did it on purpose. It wasn't her fault, and she seemed well enough meaning. It was Etzer's fault for being thoughtless. He didn't even seem to get it. Well fine.
"It was very thoughtful of you." Molan added after his brother, taking a small nibble at the spooky as he mused over what to eat a moment while he swallowed. "Are they allowed treats too?" He gestured lightly at the minipets as well while speaking, glancing at their owner. He wasn't about to give things to someone's pets without permission obviously. They could have strict diets or something. He just tended to spoil his a little. Though personally a sandwich, in all it's simplicity, sounded really good. And he could give a few small meats to the pets if it was allowed, that should work. While he finished waiting for a reply he did finally take a seat on the couch, opposite his brother as he finished nibbling on the treat he had.
He'd have to get that recipe and try to make it.

"I'm sorry I couldn't make anything more lavish or fancy, but I hope that you'll still like this! I don't get to make a meal for a lot of people usually, so I'm glad that I could do so today." Even if they were fairly simple, she had made a lot, arranging all the foods in such a way that emphasized the color diversity.
...Hey, she was opening a cafe up with her friend, okay? She could be kind of picky about arrangement if she wanted to be! Shhhh.
"No problem," She chirped at Etzer with a smile, before turning to look and nod at Molan, "They are! I think they'd be quite happy if you gave them a little something," SHe added, noting the way the minis were now eying him. With a small, amused shake of her head, she sat herself down on the arm of her couch and picked up a sandwich to munch on.
"So Etzer, have you given your brother a proper tour of the school?" She lifted her brows at him expectantly, though she had to struggle to fight off the thought of her short conversation with Molan (lest she want her face to turn red again).
