Branimir was hit by the air that was forced his way but it didn't have quite enough strength to do him in. Branimir sank down onto the pillar as another blast of air hit him and his eyes slid closed. All of his strength was gone, he had done his best, but it hadn't been quite enough.Cadence grasped Branimir's ball and recalled him in a flash of light. "You did good buddy, I'm very proud of you." she clipped his ball back to her belt and grasped for the next. Tossing it into the air it revealed a raichu. "Amaryllis it's up to you girl, let's kick some butt!"Amaryllis landed on the pillar and looked around. It seemed quite a bit of damage had been done to the field already and it was extremely warm, in fact, her paws began to burn as she stood on the scorching pillar. She began a prancing motion to keep from burning them too badly as she eyed her opponent. A severely weakened combusken. Lovely.Seeing that Amaryllis was ready to go Cadence called out her first command. "Use dig and see if you can't knock her off the pillar!"Amaryllis wasn't thrilled with the idea of getting dirty or the fact that she would now be burrowing into the hot pillar but if she made it quick she should be alright. Quickly she dug down, just deep enough not to be seen making a path, and she aimed to come up right beneath the combusken.HP: 1000 / 1000 Move Used: Dig Moves Used: Dig, ?, ?, ?

Hestia's victory was short lived as she was thrown off the pillar. At least she had been able to face two opponents, and rather valiantly at that. She could care less what Master thought about that, she knew she did well.
While the Combusken didn't perform as well as he had wanted, she earned a quick return to her pokeball. As he raised one, he threw another. "Ares, use Dig!"
The Combusken's falling body was absorbed in a flash of red light, and a moment later a Vulpix burst forth of his pokeball. He dove straight into the ground, digging as though the soil were water. He only had a moment to register where his opponent was - he hoped he didn't miss...

Seeing that the combusken was down and had been replaced by a vulpix Cadence realized she had to be very careful or she would end up losing this battle. "Am, use Toxic!"After the raichu regained her footing on the platform she thrashed her tail from side to side in irritation. Not only had the vulpix used one of her own moves against her but her new trainer had decided that she should use an attack that she despised. Angrily she narrowed her eyes but worked up a disgusting purple ooze and spewed it at her opponent.HP: 850 / 1000 Move Used: Toxic Moves Used: Dig, Toxic, ?, ?

Ares wrinkled his muzzle at the foul purple ooze that his opponent had spewed forth from his opponent and quickly got out of the way. He recalled using the same move before, gross summed it up about right. Tails swishing behind him, he stayed light on his paws, waiting for his master to give a command.
"Continue with Dig until I say otherwise," Clyde commanded calmly.
The vulpix let out a bark in response, and dove at the earth beneath his feet. Moving as quick as he could, he tunnelled toward where the Raichu had been when he was on the surface.

Things were not looking good but Cadence refused to give up hope. As Amaryllis was launched into the air and landed with a thud she called out a different attack. Time for a new approach. "Ammy, give that vulpix a good jolt. Use Thunder Shock!"Amaryllis was launched into the air as the vulpix came up beneath her and she landed with a loud thud on the platform a few feet away from where she had been standing. Rising to her paws she shook her head to clear it and refocused on the vulpix. Sparks crackled along her tail and her cheeks as she unleashed a powerful thunder shock.HP: 600 / 1000 Move Used: Thunder Shock Moves Used: Dig, Toxic, Thunder Shock, ?

Ares winced as his body contorted uncomfortably in response to the shock wave. Sparks of electricity lingered on his body, was he paralyzed? The canine gritted his teeth as he tried to move forward, to dig down into the earth again.
"C'mon Ares!" His trainer barked. He couldn't have his vulpix fail him now!

Luckily, he was able to relax and regain control of his muscles, quickly digging downwards before they seized and cramped again. The vulpix tunnelled quickly again upwards, hopefully to send his opponent flying once more.

Amaryllis tried to dodge the oncoming attack but she misjudged the vulpix's position underground and ended up getting hit from below once again. Slapping the ground with her tail angrily she retaliated with a dig attack of her own.HP: 450 / 1000 Move Used: Dig Moves Used: Dig, Toxic, Thunder Shock, ?

Ares was sent flying by the powerful dig attack, finally landing on the edge of a rock pillar. Paralysis set in once more. Would he be able to attack, even get back on his paws? The Vulpix struggled to at least do the latter, he didn't want to fall all the way off the pillar.
The most he could manage was to get a few inches away from the edge of the pillar before he collapsed again, muscles twitching as the last of the paralysis set in.

Ares yelped as he was tossing into the hot air once more. This time, he didn't land on top of the pillar. Scrambling against the side of the hot rock, he dug his claws into the soil to stop himself from falling. Even he wasn't lava proof. The glowing pool bubbled below him. He was cautious, even with the net. Scrambling again, this time he began to dig into the side of the pillar, hoping to come out right underneath his enemy once more.
Clyde was sweating now, and it wasn't just from the heat. Ares was the one pokemon he actually cared for, even if he wouldn't admit it. Under the radar of his emotions, he was worried his Vulpix would fall; even though the net was there.

Amaryllis was feeling a bit more confident when she landed the hit again and almost watched the vulpix drop to the net below. Sadly he managed to avoid the fall and retaliated with another dig attack that sent her flying. This time it was her scrambling for a foothold on the edge of the pillar and she didn't even want to think about the lava boiling below.Cadence watched as first one pokemon, than the other, almost plummeted to the netting below. Her heart leapt into her throat as she watched Amaryllis scrabbling for a foothold so she could pull herself back up. "You can do it Ammy, just don't look down, we've almost got this!"Once the raichu had regained her place on top of the pillar her cheeks and tail began sparking again and she lauched another thunder shock.HP: 300 / 1000 Move Used: Thunder Shock Moves Used: Dig, Toxic, Thunder Shock, ?

Ares growled as another wave of electricity was sent his way. It didn't cause him to contort as much as the last one, but he was still effected. Could he move forward?
"Faint Attack!" Clyde called. At this point in the battle, he didn't want to reply on moves that had the potential to miss, even if the hits were guaranteed to be less powerful.
He struggled to command his muscles to move his body forward, one step at a time, but sparks still danced on his fur...
