Cadence returned her gaze to Genesis. A icy glaze came down over her vision and all she could see was the other woman, an evil, heartless, cold-blooded murderer. Inside her heart Cadence felt a little place being carved away. Making room for the hatred and anger she felt towards the rocket. With the officers here she would not say it aloud but she made sure to convey it with her eyes. This confrontation was far from over. If they ever crossed paths again Cadence would be sure to avenge Raina, nothing would stop her from that."Please place all of your Pokémon in their Poké Balls. We'll have to take you both in.Her attention was drawn once again to the officers when one of them spoke in a commanding tone. Take them both in... why? They couldn't possibly think that she was the wrongdoer in all of this could they? She was about to open her mouth in protest but caught herself just in time before the words rolled off her tongue. Of course they would need them both, who else would tell them about the operation Team Rocket had been running here? Reaching for Amaryllis' ball Cadence unclipped it from her belt and looked down at the Raichu beside her. "Best do what they say Ammy, nothing else we can do at the moment."Amaryllis eyed the ball as it was held towards her. The raichu didn't particularly feel like going back in her ball but if Branimir had obeyed then she supposed she could as well. After one more long look at her fallen trainer the raichu looked up at Cadence and then reached out to touch her ball and she too disappeared into a red beam of light.Cadence clipped the ball back onto her belt once Amaryllis was inside and then turned her gaze back to the cops. "Officers, I will cooperate fully, I believe I have some information regarding Team Rocket that will be useful."

Genesis recognized the look, but she did not return it. She was used to failures, and though she dreaded the lashing she was sure to get from her superiors, it wasn't as if she'd truly lost anything. No, this was no reason to hate Cadence in turn.
She retrieved Erebos into her Poké Ball, murmuring soft words of encouragement to keep up her act. After that, she allowed the officers to summon their Bulbasaur. One came up to her, binding her wrists behind her back and keeping watch for any suspicious movement. She feigned pain, but though her arms were cut and bruised, she felt nothing. Nothing at all.
They were led to a group of Rapidash outside. The Pokémon had been the officer's transport, apparently, in this roadless place, and a good one, too. If the Rapidash sensed any harm coming to their officers, their manes would burn her while leaving the other untouched. The night had started off so simple, and already it had spiraled so far...
A flash of red. Genesis did not respond, didn't act. Doing so would have given her away and her Pokémon, too. She knew the red to be the sharp eyes of Tartarus, her other Lucario, who had finally reached her. She was so thankful she nearly sagged at the knees. Her Pokémon were encouraged to work as independent units, and specifically trained to act without her guidance. Tartarus would know what to do.
The ambulance came and flew Raina off. She was in a body bag, there was not even a glimmer of hope that she'd survive. Genesis and Cadence were helped onto the Rapidash. Then, the building exploded. A wide pulse of dark energy emitted from it: the same Dark Pulse attack Erebos had used. The shock of the blow sending Genesis sprawling off the saddle, and she was glad the pain that lanced up her arms kept her from smiling proudly at the sight. It was followed by a few more pulses, and then, fire. The surrounding forest and the building where the Trainees had been suffered the same fate, though none had received casualties. What Trainees remained had fled when the first officer had come.
Genesis was quickly placed back onto the saddle, and then, they were out of there. Some officers stayed behind to try and apprehend the culprit, but she knew Tartarus would not be caught, and now, it was time to worry about her own hide.
As she sat there, an office before her, a Bulbasaur behind, and a brilliantly starry sky above, on her way to a cell that could not keep her, she thought again of the dark and bitter look Cadence had given her. It was one she herself had worn, once before. She'd become what she was today because of it, and she wondered if Cadence would take the same road, if she would become a killer, too. A part of her hoped Cadence would, so that she could look at herself and say, See? I did the best I could. I didn't have a choice. I kill because I have to. But another, quieter part wanted to see Cadence turn out differently. If so, Cadence would be nothing but proof of her own failures, of how another trainer was put in the same situation she had been, but had come out better for it. But it would also mean there was one less murderer.
She sighed, remembering the days when lives had been precious to her. She wanted to hold onto it, desperately tried, but it was a stronger memory that took over her now: how she had cut Raina's throat so quickly when the trainer proved herself a threat. She'd held all the power in that moment, and she could just have easily rendered the trainer unconscious, but all she heard and saw and felt was death. To her, there had been no other option.
Regardless of what happened, she knew the anger that lay deep in Cadence now. She knew the trainer would come for her, and would not rest. Even if Genesis couldn't hate her for the failure this mission had become, she could hate the trainer for what the she felt. If she did not, she would be killed. The only way she could live now was to get to Cadence before Cadence got to her. To her, there was no other option, and her tears fell silent at the realization.
((Woo, last post from me. After this, I can start up a separate RP where she's rescued. x3 THANKS AGAIN FOR THE PLOT. QWQ))

Cadence complied with all of the commands she was given by the officers. She knew she didn't really have any other choice. If there was any hope that the Rocket who had killed her best friend would be brought to justice she needed to go along with the police and give them all the information she had. Still, in the deepest darkest depths of her mind, and her heart, an icy chill was spreading. Never would Cadence have even thought about harming another living being, never, until now.
Watching her best friend being murdered right in front of her had understandably done some damage to her psyche. What she didn't realize, what just how much damage it had done. Already the trauma from the event was seeping through her mind, corroding some of the inhibitions she had learned as a child. She had been raised to value the life of every living creature, she had never questioned the belief that inside everyone was a core of innocence, waiting to be freed. Now though, on this night, after everything she had witnessed and gone through, she was becoming bitter and her beliefs and hopes for the goodness in all people were fading.
The warehouse had been destroyed, as had much of the surrounding area, there would be no evidence to find. It was her word against that of the woman who had murdered Raina. When they reached the station Cadence provided the police with all of the information she could, and after several hours of questioning they released her. As she walked out the door she could feel the difference in herself. Where there had once been nothing but a happy, curious, trusting young woman, there now stood a woman who held a vendetta. She may not be a murderer, but she would find a way to make that rocket woman pay for what she had done. As she headed back towards her house with her friends pokemon in her possession Cadence vowed that she would hunt Genesis to the ends of the Earth if she had too. One way or another, the woman would get what she deserved.
((No problem Ryuu smile Thank you for plotting with me XD I kinda wanna make Cadence go all schizo/bipolar now... i mean... that was really traumatizing but... idk... part of me wants her to recover and be the "bigger" person))
