Lol, sorry to kill your fun WritingTime. If you're still interested in helping, the butler still needs a last name. Shade dubbed the butler's first name to be Yorick and that one fit nicely so if you can find something to run with Yorick have at it.

Don't worry about it. Since things have already been decided let's let things be.

WritingTime Don't worry about it. Since things have already been decided let's let things be. The butler still needs a last name if you got any good ones. His last name can be more human as I'm assuming he was human at one time or another. =P

I found this link so far. Irish SurnamesSince the Dullahan is the grisly Irish version of the Faerie Headless horseman, I thought perhaps something Irish (Or Irish Gaelic because it sounds cool), would perhaps fit with him. First Name: Yorick Last Names:ó Súilleabháin (dark-eyed) ó Maoilriain (king) ó Dochartaigh (hurtful) ó Muireadhaigh (lord, master) ó Braonáin (sorrow) Mac an Bhreithiún (son of the brehon (judge)

Lol I like ó Súilleabháin (dark-eyed) simply because it would be hilrious to name him something about the color of his eyes... which he doesn't have. (Or maybe he had them at one time...)

Well, I think he still does have some form of eyes. Just not sure that he needs them; the ones in the mouldy cheese severed head that dart around like flies. They are black, if I recall. Lol.
I don't know which name to choose. But they sound nifty, eh? Maybe I can look up a pronounciation guide for whichever name we end up with as well.
I like ó Braonáin too. cat_3nodding

Love how the butlers last name is looking to be more complecated than some of the elvish names we've created.
I was using this; http://www.seventhsanctum.com/index-name.php to generate last names for Yorick but the best I've come across that sounded like a real name (and that I liked) was Azatan and Ethirg. I've gotten others like Coffingrip, Boneblade, and etc but those were all so-so names.

I'm still liking ó Braonáin, even though I'm not sure how to say it properly. It just looks cool. I think it translates roughly into 'grandson of sorrow'.
But out of the ones you found so far I liked Ethirg the most.

I got nothing against the names you've generated, I just think we should names that are easier to read/pronounce.
I thought those two rolled together nicely and they weren't too bad to pronounce. Yorick Ethirg. Yorick Azatan (or maybe just Aztan).
Either way, we'll keep playing around with it till we find something we all like.

I think we could go with Ethirg. I liked that one too and you're right - it's easier to say. biggrin
Gaelic just looks interesting. I'm a bit nerdy like that. Lol.

Didn't think it would be so hard to name a butler...

Lol, in his/yorick's own defense, hes not a mortal butler so such things are bound to be difficult when all we have to work off is his body. It would be much easier to name somebody after facial features like Yorick Blackeyes or etc.
We'll just call him Yorick Ethirg until we come up with something better.
Edit: With our Dullahan's name out of the way, our crypt and graveyard need names as well as Nadzt's wolf pups. I settled on five pups as that would be a reasonable sized litter but these names should be easy given the fact that Nadzt is young and would probably the one naming the pups. So the names would be fairly simple, most likely based off features of the pup or things she observes them doing so things like, Bite, Bark, Blue-eyes, etc.

Update: The Crypt, graveyard, Nadtz's pups, and the Dullahan have all been named!
Looking through their character profiles I think the only thing missing is a story/bio tying the dullahan into this wacky family of theirs. Given that Baleth was the one dabbling in the art of necromancy it would probably have something to do with him (and most likely he'd have done it while Izzdrin was out of the house).
