Ethir Mistiel

In the shadows of the trees just off the path, Ethir watched the two other guests that had already arrived. At least, she assumed that they were guests, considering there should be no other reason for anyone to be meeting at that spot. When she'd arrived, there was already one of them there, a dark-haired man who had seemed at least apprehensive about how dark the woods was. That was a good sign, as far as Ethir was concerned. It was unlikely that he was used to darkness, of any sort. The next to arrive, however, didn't seem the least bit perturbed. He appeared to be an elf, though it was hard to say from a distance and in the dark. If he hadn't been in men's clothing, Ethir would've mistaken him for a woman, considering his slight frame. After watching him introduce himself to the other guest, she decided it was okay for her to emerge from the forest. Though she really was paranoid, she'd been hiding more because she didn't want to be left alone with another person. It was a situation she was not accustomed to, and would rather avoid.

Stepping out from behind the last line of trees, she quietly made her way toward the two men, still walking in a half-crouch that left her basically invisible in the gloomy forest. Only when she stepped onto the road could her footsteps be detected, so it was then that she straightened herself and took up a quick but solemn gate. Despite how little she cared for it, Ethir was a member of a noble family, and should at least act like it. As she neared the two men, still unnoticed, she slowed and made sure at least one of her blades was easily accessible. She didn't want to use it, and if all went normally, she wouldn't have to. Even so, Ethir held tightly onto the dagger's hilt behind her back as she introduced herself.
"Good evening, both of you. I apologize for arriving late, though it seems I'm not the only one," she said as she took a closer look at the two men. Judging by the other elf's clothes, she decided he was at the very least a nobleman of higher rank, so she offered him a formal bow, and gave the other man a nod of recognition. "I am Ethir Mistiel. Pleasure to meet you." It was best, in her opinion, to keep first meetings very formal. No one could discern much about someone based merely on how well they acted like they cared.

Victor Balston

Victor quietly walked through the halls, making sure everything was prepared and set for the guests who were going to stay at the manor for some time. He just hoped they weren’t sloppy house guests, hating to think that he would have to clean up more than he should, his OCD would kick in in a heartbeat. Checking his pocket watch he noticed it was almost time for the guest to arrive. Victor of course knew he would have to go get them… but he was running a tad bit late due to being a perfectionist. Grabbing his coat, which he folded against his arm and grabbing his saber not knowing how these guest would react he quickly made his way to the living room to warn Master Damon of his leave. Seeing Logan leaning against the fireplace gave Victor evil thoughts. He could of push him in and watch him burn or strangle him with the violin wire he always kept in his pocket but he knew it wasn’t time yet to do such things. Keeping his wicked smile hidden with those thoughts he went half away into the room and bowed to Logan, making sure to stay as far away as the fire as possible. “Master Damon, pardon me for intruding you in your deep thoughts but I was going to venture out to get the guest, they should be arriving shortly.” He said calmly, before standing straight again.

Location: ● Damon Manor

Dark thoughts were ever present in Logan's mind. They tore and bit at the flesh of his brain like vultures to a fresh carcass. A break far away. Only seconds ago his friend was the object attacking his mind, attacking with a whispering voice. Now that he was gone, Logan was alone.
So wrapped up in his thoughts he was that Logan didn't hear Victor.
Snapped from his brooding with a start, Logan turned around. After Victor's words Logan became thoughtful.
"Yes, I see. Whatever guests haven't made it yet can be gone back for." Logan muttered, almost to himself. His eyes took on a far away gaze. "They will all be here. Yes." Logan felt the presence of his friend, his approval. All the guests would be here he knew. It won't be long, Logan assured his friend in mind.
Focusing again, Logan scrutinized Victor.
"You may go. The servants coach is in it's usual place at the front." With that, Logan turned away. The servants coach was towards the very front of the mansion on the right, at the edge of the gate out of sight.
Under a collection of trees a little shack had been assembled for a two purpose job. One half was for the horses that pulled the coaches, and the other half was for the two coaches that belonged to the Damon family. One is the royal coach; grand and fit for the family only. The servants coach is the same as the other, but less decorated and more modern. Each coach can hold up to six people, three on each side. Pulling the coaches are two big horses, the only horses the Damon family have. Because they only own two horses, the little shack is well kept.
Logan ran a hand through dark hair.
"And don't be slow about it. I wouldn't want our guests to stay out in the dark."

Vi(ara) Tsu'vell ~~~~ Noble Ambassador

"The shadows are not an enemy to be feared....

Vi let out a small, quaint chuckle seeing the man seemed a bit startled by his appearance. "no need to fear my fellow. Of the things that lurk in the dark I am of the less dangerous sort" he said with a smile. He noticed him clutching at something near his chest, presumable a necklace or pendant of some sort. Though the man's actions betrayed his attentions, as to a thief clutching at one's self upon meeting a new face was a give away they had something valuable on them, and it showed exactly where said valuable was. "ah a fellow guest then, please no need to bow then. I'd assume we're to be equals of a sort in this situation" he said, though he didn't believe a word of it. This man was beneath him obviously, still for the sake of his mission it was better to make yourself look as friendly and sympathetic as possible without making yourself look suspicious. As he talked Vi glanced behind him out of the corner of his eye and smirked, though immediately turned his gaze back to the man as if nothing had happened. "and what may I call such a fine young gentleman such as yourself?" he asked, realizing they hadn't introduced themselves. A few moments later a young woman approached them from the direction Vi had looked to earlier, almost as if on cue. "good evening my fair lady" he said taking a step closer, noticing her elven features. "ah a pleasure to met one of my fairer skinned sisters...and of the Mistiel family to. I am honored to meet you Lady Ethir" he said before giving a sweeping bow of his own. "I am Vi Tsu'vell, of the Tsu'vell family. It is a pleasure to meet both of your acquaintance" he said before looking over at Ethir and taking her hand gently to kiss the back of it. "a very great pleasure....." he said with a wink.

Terra

Terra walked from the darkness in the woods. The voices she'd been listening to got louder, she figured she was getting close. Letting out a small sigh pocketing her katar, eyes glowing their usual bright red through the shadows formed by the canopy of leaves. She walked toward the voice, not caring if she was seen or heard. She'd been listening for a while and knew that they were all guests such as herself. She approached them and sat on a rock quietly, she didn't speak as she was too busy analyzing them, reading their auras if you may. She looked at each guest, eyes practically piercing their souls

_______________________
Vilith felt flushed that this strange elf saw more than he intended to show. Then he was assured that he had nothing to fear.
Trying to regain what dignity he lost, Vilith managed a rather weak nod in reply. He feared his voice would betray him, not willing to take the risk of the stranger seeing more of his true feelings. It wasn't polite--Vilith also felt--to force companions or high-ranked officials to stifle fears or nervousness when you lacked the self-control to cover them.
Vilith opened his mouth to reply when a woman entered the pathway. She was elven, but unlike her "skin-cousin" as the stranger--Vi, as he introduced himself as--put it. Introducing herself as Ether, she exchanged formal greetings with Vi.
Bowing at the waist, Vilith introduced himself as, Vil', to both of them. Upon raising, Vilith noticed a woman had joined the party, making four in total. That left two to arrive.
She had seated herself on a rock to the side of the road and had begun scrutinizing them. Under her piercing gaze Vilith felt open and exposed, as if she could see his fin and scales through the charm he wore.
He swallowed.

((Don't worry about it, I understand. ;3 ))

Ethir Mistiel

Judging by the flamboyant but relatively formal manner in which he greeted her, Ethir knew even before he gave his name that the elven man was indeed nobility. She assumed that if she'd ever attended the extravagant social events that nobles were so famous for, she might have recognized him. Instead, she only just barely recognized his family name from some conversation she'd once overheard. Releasing her grip on the dagger behind her back, she let her arm fall to her side underneath the grey cloak she wore as the blade returned to it's usual place at her side. Though she in no way felt safe, Ethir knew it would look suspicious if she continually kept one arm behind her like she had been. Unsure of what to do, she merely stood in silence with the other two guests for a moment, carefully examining them.

In the short time since she had introduced herself, another woman arrived, though it seemed that she had decided not to join them. Instead, she sat down a short distance away and appeared to be observing them. Resisting a suspicious glare, Ethir simply nodded in her direction as a greeting. She preferred not to seek out conversation with strangers, especially not strangers with such... 'unique' eyes. Reprimanding herself for being so quick to judge, she tried not to let her paranoia get the better of her. It wasn't as though she weren't watching them all in a similar fashion. The other woman was just far less discreet about it, which was just fine with Ethir. If she was going to be observed, at least she would know it. That put her at a slight advantage, or at least she hoped it did.

Victor Balston

Of course Lord Damon, I will make sure every guest gets to the manor in one piece and give them a warming welcome to the Damon Manor.” Victor promised with a graceful bow. He could tell Logan was in a deep trance of thought, what about though for now was none of his business but he could tell it was eating at Lord Damon. Standing up straight once he was permitted to leave he nodded with understanding of where the usual location for the coaches were.”Very well I’ll be on my way then.” He said in an upmost cheerful manner. Walking away he stopped about an inch from the door, his back turned from Lord Damon, hearing the warning to be quick about getting the guests for it was almost dark. This made Victor clenched his teeth, slightly showing his exposed fangs but he took a deep breath and looked back at Logan with a reassuring smile.”But of course Lord Damon, I’ll be as quick as I can.” He said, before he started to walk his way off towards the front door.”I wouldn’t dream of keeping the guest waiting.” He hissed silently to himself as he open the huge marvelous doors, exiting towards the shack.

Putting on his coat and securing his saber to his side as he walked towards the shack Victor blocked his vision from the falling sun; he hated the blasted thing and knew it was time for another dose of his “medicine”. Going into the shack where the rays of the sun could not find him or in anybody’s point of vision Victor took out a small red vile, quickly devouring its contents. Licking the red off his lips he started to set up the servants coach for the guests knowing he would be protected from the sun for now. Setting up the coach went rather quickly other than one of the horses being spooked by Victor, this horse was black as the night and didn’t like him much but that was only due to what he was. Seeing the sun was almost gone from sight Victor lit one of the shack torches before bringing it with him as much as he protested to do so, he really had no choice. Climbing into the driver’s seat of the coach he grabbed onto the reins before making a quick movement with them to make the two horses start moving, making his way to pick up the guests. As much as he was reluctant to do so he still had a job to do and hope he wasn’t too late when he arrived, all he needed was Lord Damon scowled him which most likely would push him over the edge and blow his cover.

"The shadows are not an enemy to be feared....

Vi smiled at Vil as he introduced himself with a bow. "I know not why, but I like the cut of you jib Vil', I have the feeling we will become fast friends indeed" he said, trying to relax the man's tensions. One moment spooked, another worried for his goods, and now flustered. He was a man of interesting reactions if nothing else. He noticed the blonde haired woman appear and smiled, clearly the first to jump to greetings of the three. "my another charming woman graces us with her presence. The strong silent type I see...or perhaps the beautiful silent type as the case may be" he said, very much aware of both Ethir and Terra observing everyone. It was a bit sad that neither of them seemed to understand the idea of subtlety. One does not just sit their gawking at someone they are sizing up, you hid it under the pretense of something else, like flamboyantly greeting someone, or looking them over flirtatiously. Ethir at least tried not to make it look so blatant atleast, though the fact she opted to remain quiet worked against her not, not for her. The blond woman however was so bad at covering it up he assumed she simply wasn't trying, though then again if she wasn't trying that probably meant her intentions were less...sinister. He met eyes with Terra as she looked to him, his red eyes just as rich and vibrant as hers, though not as luminescent. He gave her a small, knowing wink, before turning back to Vilith. "my the women seem to have wondering eyes do they not? Perhaps this will turn out to be more than just a quaint social gathering hmmm" he whispered to him in a "nudge nudge wink wink" kinda way. As the carriage arrived Vi stepped towards the door and graciously held it open, motioning for Ethir and Terra to go in ahead of him. "please, ladies first" he said chivalrously.

Terra

Terra's lips curved to a slight smile as Vi greeted her, opening with a compliment.
"You're too kind" she said, returning his greeting. He gave her a wink showing his eyes red as hers 'ah a dark elf' she thought to herself. She looked Vi up and down, he was nobility yet greeted her with a compliment without knowing what status she was. Which meant one of two things. He analyzing the other guests just as she was but taking care to conceal it and seem polite, or, he doesn't understand the social classes and greets everybody the same which she doubted as he seemed to be well educated. She watched as he whispered to the other man before the carriage pulled up. The man opened the door graciously offering for the ladies to enter first. Terra stood up, the small smile remaining on her face before approaching the carriage and stepping into it as he held the door "Such a charmer" she exclaimed with a smirk "Hard to find among nobility such as yourself"

Victor Balston

Once Victor arrived he noticed four of the guests were presence and two were missing, this made him a bit fluster knowing he was going to have to take more than one trip now. He was so looking forward to hunting tonight just to keep his strength up and now he had to push it back just because he had to make sure all guests had arrived to the manor, this didn’t please him one bit. Before he could even hop out of the driver’s seat one of the guests had already open the door for the two ladies, this one had an air of nobility about him and from his actions quite the lady killer.”Well well, it’s quite fortunate to know there are still good men out there in the world.” Victor spoke rather charmingly. Hoping down from the driver seat he bowed to the man and other guests to show respect, nobility or not it was always his job to make everyone feel welcome, as much as he didn’t want to anyway he really had no choice.”My name is Victor Balston, I will be serving you at your stay at Damon Manor.” He said confidently as he stood up straight.”Now if there is no questions or concerns I will be happy to take you all to your destination.” He smiled, now observing the four guests. An interesting group they were, Lord Damon would be pleased.

Vilith felt some tension ease at the mans remark, but he still felt open and uncomfortable. He wished now that he stayed at the inn in the washtub where he could bask in the water. But that was a far away dream until he could get a bath at the mansion. Vilith then wondered if it would be suspicious if he went to take a bath after he got there. Two baths in a row. Could he do that and get away with it.
He was coming up with plans to sneak out at night to get a bath when the carriage appeared. Vilith didn't care that it was a more modern carriage rather than rich.
He had only taken a couple steps when Vi expressed more of his gentlemen behavior and opened the door for the women. With a bow to the driver in greeting--introduced as, Victor--Vilith waited until all the women had entered before he took his seat. He tried to take a corner seat.

Ethir Mistiel

Though she would have liked to be the last to get in the carriage, the elven nobleman opened the door and offered to let Ethir and the other woman in, as etiquette dictated. "Why thank you, kind sir," she said as he held the door open. Accepting Vi's offer with a mock-friendly smile, she entered the carriage first as the red-eyed woman made some remark in response to his chivalrous display. He was very good at playing the part of the charming nobleman, and that made Ethir all the more uneasy. Maybe it was her familiarity with illusions, or perhaps it was simply that she could recognize someone as fake as herself, but everything about him seemed like a well crafted lie. If Ethir slashed at him with one of her blades, she wouldn't have been surprised to see an outer layer peel off to reveal an entirely different person underneath. Either way, she decided that she would have to keep a very close eye on him, and more discretely, too. It seemed that her observations hadn't gone unnoticed, which took away any advantage she would have had.

When she entered the carriage, she moved as far from the entrance as possible. Practically pressing herself into the corner to leave plenty of space between her and the others, she tried not to let her discomfort at the small space show on her face. It was one of the better places to sit, when she considered it strategically. Of course, a seat near the door would've been better, but it would've been suspicious if Ethir had declined the offer to enter first. Taking a moment to reflect on the other guests, she quickly and discretely sized each of them up. There was of course the suspiciously obsequious elven nobleman with an air of darkness. Ethir mentally marked him as dangerous. On the other hand, there was the other man, much quieter. She wasn't quite sure what to make of him, but detected no hint of darkness from him. Lastly, there was the red-eyed woman, who had just arrived. There was little to ponder about her, considering Ethir didn't even know her name.
"An interesting collection indeed..." Absentmindedly thinking aloud, she murmured, "I wonder what would bring such a diverse group together like this..."

Vi(ara) Tsu'vell ~~~~ Noble Ambassador

"The shadows are not an enemy to be feared....

Vi let out a posh laugh at the comments of both Terra and the servant man. "well all great men have at least one vice. Mine just happens to be beautiful women. I'd probably bow my head to a pauper's daughter if it meant winning her favor" he joked, curtly waving it off showing he wasn't serious. Claiming to have a weakness for women was convenient, as for the most part it allowed him to circumvent having to figure out a girl's social status, and instead allows him to approach them all the same. When Terra mentioned there not being many charming men amongst nobility he gave a proud smirk "you'll find that those of the Tsu'vell family are a breed above most common nobles" he said, intending to show that his friendly treatment towards others, even lower class, made him even more noble and dignified, not less. "after all if I did what most nobles did and cared only for class then I'd probably find myself rather lonely these 6 months with only Lady Mistiel and Master Damon to talk to" he said with a wink as he stepped into the carriage. He turned to Victor as he introduced himself and nodded "very well, I look forward to your services" he said, seeing as the help here looked rather dignified in their own right, as should be expected from the Damon family. Vi ended up sitting between Ethir and Terra, by no coincidence at all. When Ethir commented on their rather diverse group Vi glanced over at everyone and smirked. "fate or pure happenstance I assume. After all anyone could have passed by one of those fliers and signed on, and even those of us who saw them could have easily passed up the opportunity. Random chance, or destiny, whichever you choose to believe in makes all the same difference. Though I must say considering the two beauties I was privileged to meet I find myself leaning towards fate" he said, glancing flirtatiously at both Ethir and Terra.

....they are like a lover to be intimately entangled in."

Terra

Terra gave Vi a small smirk as he spoke of his vice before sitting herself. she could sense the unease of the female elf as she avoided touching the other guests and stayed close to the window. Terra didn't really care, if anything happened she would simply blow the whole carriage to bits. She listened as the girl spoke about their group and then to Vi's response. Another smirk worked its way across Terra's lips. The elf was a character all right, "Such words of praise to women you hardly know. I don't believe I even caught your name. Nor the either of yours" she said looking at each of the other guests. She figured what would be a better way to learn about the others then in a carriage with some idol chit chat. Might as well start with names.
