"...Mmm. He tried then he stopped trying. Not sure why," Kettil shrugged and waved a hand at the air. It wasn't like he could read minds ever. So mysteries abound for him.
Kettil tilted his head and he just smiled, "Well I know where ya live now, so not so much shouting will happen anymore," he pointed out. The Muut just chuckled and shook his head, "Besides, I despite my beggin' earlier, I do prefer to do things on m'own if at all possible."

"You sure about that?" Shun said while eyeing Kettil warily. Just because he knew where he lived.. it didn't mean he'd stop shouting at the door in the very least... for him to open up and stuff.
He really hoped that wouldn't happen.
"So what prompted the begging then?"

"I am pretty sure about it," he assured but not that reassuringly because he was grinning the entire time now. Yet, despite this, it seemed very unlikely that Kettil would go shouting up and down the hallways again - at least not for Shun.
The question made him shrug as he answered honestly, "I was expecting you to just tell me t'get lost or to just get up an' walk away or somethin'. So surprise abounds when y'made the offer at me."

"To be honest, I hadn't entirely expected you to run off to catch a fish," Shun said a little flatly. But he was still a man of his word and so he followed up with his end.
"Maybe I was just in a good mood at the time."
Not that his facial expressions ever really showed if or when he was in a good mood. Right now, only Mitsu was really able to catch on to the subtle shifts in his features that meant one thing or another.

"Keeps you on your toes when I do something you don't expect," Kettil said simply with a shrug. Sometimes people needed to be kept on their toes - stops them from getting lazy.
Kettil reached up and scratched at his jaw thoughtfully, "Fair enough! I am thankful for your benevolent moment then. I mean if it weren't for that then we wouldn't be talkin' right now." Though the boil didn't continue on with the talk there was an obvious fondness in his tone for Shun.
He appreciated the other boil's blunt mannerisms and other qualities.

The Grim raised an eyebrow at that.
"I suppose there's some merit to it."
Kettil was at least more tolerable now than when he was begging for food or shouting down hallways. So Shun supposed that he could deal with a little bit of conversation for the time being.
"...Where the hell did you get the fish anyway? You look like you dove into a lake."

Kettil just smiled and shrugged, "A semi-frozen river. It uhh..It put up more of a fight than I thought it would and I ended up having to show the fish its place in food-chain," he murmured as a fingertip scratched at the bridge of his nose.
"It was a very mighty battle." Kettil laughed.

Judging how soaked he was, Shun wouldn't be surprised if he had fallen in said river once or twice. Maybe even more.
Speaking of. Apparently he was still in a relatively good and somewhat generous mood.
"...Do you need a towel?"

Shun had many things working in his favor just then that didn't cause Kettil to fakely passout in surprise at the offer, mostly the fact that Kettil didn't know Shun that well. For all Kettil knew? Shun was at least reservedly kind to many and Kettil was just one of those many.
Thus when the offer was made Kettil only smiled appreciatively and nodded, "Would be nice, thank ya much."

Shun went into the bathroom, and threw one such towel at Kettil's face, expecting him to catch.
"I'm still feeling generous," he murmured. Lucky Kettil.

Kettil caught the towel but mostly with his face and he uttered a short laugh at Shun's words, "Well I am thankful for it. If I ever wear out your generosity just let me know, hm?"
There was silence soon as he tried to make himself a little more dry than he was before, and rubbed at bits of cold exposed skin on his arms, "So, what do I need to know about sushi-rice?"

"Don't worry. I will."
He was usually pretty straightforward with these things after all.
"You need glutinous white rice. Other types of rice won't work as well. You'll also need some rice vinegar, sugar, salt and vegetable oil," he said before detailing the process of putting it together, "After that's done, you'll need some fresh fish to combine with it. Maybe some wasabi, ginger, and soy sauce too if that is your preference."

Kettil quietly murmured the instruction under his breath word for word, probably his way of remembering things when needed. In fact? Kettil repeated it twice before he gave a short nod of understanding, "That seems simple enough...Just uhh wondering, is there any flavorings I should maybe avoid with this type of rice? Y'know like how you don't put like mashed potatoes with ice cream sort of thing."
"Like are there any combinations that wouldn't be good at all in sushi form?" He was apparently plotting an experimentation of sorts. If anyone could stop Kettil? It would be Shun at this point.

Shun kind of stared at Kettil with that question.
"I advise against putting mash potatoes on it. But I think you'll need to just experiment with that yourselves. I usually stick to the more traditional dishes so I can't say for certain what doesn't work."
If Kettil wanted to make himself sick by trying out weird combinations... the Reaper wasn't going to stop him.

"...Yeah, I know. Doesn't sound like a good idea," Kettil said thoughtfully.
The Muut shrugged his shoulders a bit and just smiled, "I like to try out different things is all. So I was merely wonderin' at the potentials of it."
After a few moments he started drying his hair out a bit more.
