Stage TWO - Fail, roll again

Jacking Jack. This wasn't going well at all.

Once he'd caught his breath, Marosa utterly failed again by attempting to jump towards a cluster below him, only to pop one and send him careening upwards.

Well, this was going brilliantly.

Stage THREE - PASS

The final jump.

Once the fey had gotten through that torrent of bubbles, now all that was left to do was get to the girl who was... blowing bubbles. Oh Jack, those bubbles didn't look right at all. Was it just him, or were they glowing a more vibrant pink than before?

Deciding not to touch them at all, Marosa jumped as high as he could, landing brilliantly before Desu. He was out of breath, but he'd made it.

Entirely in one piece, even.

Just passing by, Levi took notice of the arrows; the arrows pointing down. They looked like something that could have been picked out of Valentines Town, or possibly been made by a certain Trick or Treater. Reasoning one way or the other, the tatzel ghoul weaved strands of her hair at her shoulder with both hands, producing a rather plump braid with her coarse grade of hair, a few strays escaping the folds. It was just about time for her to begin the jog portion of her exercises, but a little investigating couldn't hurt, right? Well, it could, but if this was what she thought it was, the short shorts-wearing ghoul had to appease her curiosity. With a plain old twill ribbon, she tied the end of the braid tightly and took aim. If the previous events this particular ToTer had had at and around the school were any indication, this was likely the work of Desu-chan, Levi thought, and some bizarre feat was ahead.

Perhaps this might suffice as an alternative activity for today's workout? Entering the cave, the echoing sound produced by her own steps caused Levi to look down at her feet, and by extension, the ground itself. With each step, there was an obvious gradual decent in the floor beneath her to the point where Levi was certain the steep fall was unable to be walked over without stumbling downward into a pit of darkness. Her observation was confirmed by her doing exactly that; stumbling through the depths on her backside, Levi's tail couldn't even grasp onto anything to stop the sweeping fall. It luckily remained at her feet where, hopefully, it would spring her to safety if this ended up being a hard fall.

Which it wasn't.

The landing she had was even bouncier than usual. Inspecting her new environment, Levi realized that what she was on wasn't slimey but smooth and plush to her movements. It gave way when she bobbed on it just like a spring. Chuckling in amusement, Levi looked away from her landing spot up towards the rest of the cavern, noting how amazingly bright it was compared to the entrance she'd come through. Among the bubbles of bouncing and the glittering walls of stone, Levi made out a familiar form waving in the distance. Desu-chan was still here, and it seemed there was reason to try and get up to where she was. As if this being a sort of challenge in itself wasn't enough, another form of familiarity appeared. If she'd ever seen a wrath demon trying to bounce like a tatzelwurm, well, there it was. Quite honestly, she was impressed.

In an attempt to get closer up to the two, Levi wriggled to get an ample amount of push off, leaping onto the next highest bubble. All four limbs would land onto this new bubble, caving in slightly to the light substance underfoot.

Stage 1: PASS

... until she slipped off the chubby mass that was next. Luckily, she didn't fall far, tail catching the bubble she'd previously been on. Time to rethink strategy here. It wasn't enough to have a handle on bouncing. These things weren't like her tail and didn't particularly hold what fell onto them. She'd have to consider where she fell onto each platform bubble as well.

Stage 2 (roll 2): fail

Next bubble target was chosen, and Levi took to it with another leap on all fours, crouching into the center securely when she reached that next level of bubble height. It was here that, as she glanced around for that next bubble, Levi realized wrath demons were closer than they'd appeared. She was just about on par with West's current position thanks to her speedy bounce work. Black straightening, her tail curled upward into a spiral behind her and she grinned a toothy grin West's way. For now, she'd try to get ahead.

Maybe he hadn't seen her yet...

Stage 2 (roll 2): Pass

She'd leapt with aim to get higher than the boil first, but it seemed he'd had the same idea. Whether or not he'd done it knowingly, Levi hadn't been able to tell. The same straightening of her back and arching of her tail occurred when Levi saw West land on the exact bubble she had, only first. Well dangit! Ears popping up straight, she leaned forward slightly against the soft substance, opening her mouth to speak-

and then he was gone.

Eyes widening and tail writhing excitedly in a fit of sudden adrenaline rush from the surprise, Levi peered through the thick transparent layers of film below to see where they demon boil had landed. Kekeke~! Well fancy meetin' yew up'ere! Thinkin'a learnin' ta'high bounce like me, boil? The answer was likely no, but she'd like to believe otherwise. They'd both come there to see what the ToTer was up to, no doubt.

Her eyes kept on West, trying to be as still, with the exception of her wriggling tail, as possible.

Stage 2 (roll 3): Pass

She crawled a space over to compensate for the weight West would add to the pillowy mass she was situated on. Grinning ear to ear, the ghoul's lengthy tail snaked around West, immediately whipping at his tail; it was a tatzelwurm brofist. Nothin' wrong with yer lil'one. It was supposed to be complimentary. His tail was cute to her. Okay, it was somewhat complimentary and somewhat condescending, but not purposefully.

I-AYE! WHOA! Pink things flew at Levi from out of the corner of her eye. Desu-chan seemed to be playing at something here, attacking them with bubbles of a bright pinkish glow. They weren't out of this until they reached her- right. Watch yer tail! Bracing for another incoming orb, Levi bounded up and over as it passed, landing back where she originally stood. They'd have to move fast to avoid the next onslaught.

Awn 3. 1,... 2,...

Taking this chance, a break in Desu's bubble blowing, Levi prepared to use both the spring of the sleek bubble below and her own coiling tail to pounce away at the same moment West did.

She jumped. Before the next pink sphere came along, Levi's feet and tail touched surface again, right by Desu-chan. Thankfully this had been a rather short jump from where they were, but it was a matter of timing more than anything. Right weird place ya'got 'ere. Levi addressed the demon ToTer before turning to look at West, verifying that he'd come over with her.
