"Well we were sly little foxes as we grew up, especially with our lace panties. Troublesome is what I heard the family call us." She winked again, "Theres a rumor that somewhere in the world, there is three people with the same physical features as you. Almost like you could all pass for each other." She chuckled.
At the mention of Alaska becoming a hunter though, she hesitated before looking at the popcorn in her hand. How was the best way to explain it? Should she? It wasn't like a secret that Alaska left but something more personal for the mist huntress. Well...it wouldn't hurt anyone anyways.
"I don't know the excact reason Alaska left, but we both had one thing in common. We both could see the shadows and we both had an idea of it. Boogeyman was real to us like water and air. But when we told our parents when we were young, they didn't believe us. Fanciful imagination, and we were twins..if one got the idea then the other did too." She set the popcorn aside as she put her chin in the palm of her hand, watching as the show switched over to dolphins that flew through rings and balanced toys on their snouts.
"When we got older, the shadows got more intense, more forms. We told our mom we could still see them, that they scared us. And she told us to never talk to our father about it but she believed us. Mom always believed us. When we graduated high school though, Alaska got tired of being Dad's main focus, and I'm assuming that's when the hunters got to her, gave her a new goal to go after. She wanted to figure out why she could see these things, and what she could do about them. So she left." Nevada hesitated again, "Dad's focus turned to me, he almost all but wrote Alaska off. I wouldn't have it, she's my twin you know, we are literally one part of each other. I left after her, but instead of hunters finding me...I found one of them. He offered for me to be a hunter, said that my sister probably did the same and thus I am here today!" She looked at Otto and smiled at him, "I had nothing to lose but Alaska, if I went to the same place as her though...then I wouldn't have lost anything."
And that she thought, was the most accurate summary of how she had come to be here.

His expression was flat as she mentioned lace panties again. That would forever be the hot key words of the date: cougars and lace panties. "Woah, wait. Clone people!? That's friggn' weird." Otto didn't like the idea of someone like him out there. There could only be one. "I say we go Highlander and knock'em off the planet."
Shadows and boogeymen. Normal for people like them, but while growing up, it felt so lonely. It further alienated those who didn't adapt well to it. Sometimes he forgot every hunter had to go through it too.
"So she was recruited first." Otto repeated aloud. At least their mother believed them. At east they had someone sort of on their side. "Well, dickheaded dads is somethin' I can relate to, anyway. Just what exactly was it he had you guys doin'?" If it was family business s**t Otto would know the feeling all too well. "I mean, ya don't gotta go into details if ya don't wanna. That s**t is all in the past now, anyway."

Cougars, and Lace panties. Yes, Otto this must be one of the weirdest dates to be on. "I know right! Well I know one of my three people, twin but could you imagine meeting the other two." She laughed, "It would be interesting to see! Though I have to somewhat agree...I don't think there should be someone else that looks like Otto." She reached over and poked his leg, waggling her eyebrows. "You'd have to fight them for who the best looking was." She was teasing of course, all the teasing.
"Yes, she's also the older twin so it sort of makes sense..." She laughed at the mention of her dad and nodded. "Yeah dad was certainly an acquired taste. Alaska and I never really questioned him, mostly cause of mom but still..." She pursued her lips, "Dad and mom grew up pretty well, normal families, normal income, normal everything. It wasn't enough for my dad really, so he worked hard and hard and made this life built on hardwork. Then as we were growing up, he pushed us. He didn't have boys so he had to deal with two girls. First it was atheletics, schoolwork, activites as kids that would further make us grow up faster. It was constantly what he wanted, what he thought was best up until high school. When we hit there, he turned all that drive into Alaska and pushed her into school work and into programs that would help her in college. It helped that she set goals but then, he kept pushing and pushing her. Which left me ignored, not that I really cared. I was lazy, still am. Don't get me wrong I mean, I love sports but the sheer amount of effort I had to do as a kid just burnt me out. School work was worse. I didn't really do good as far as bookwork, I was more of the physical twin I guess but....Yeah after Alaska left, He turned all that drive into me and started 'encouraging' me aim high for college, to really put myself out there."
She kicked at one of the bleachers, "It doesn't sound bad but as two young girls, what we wanted and what our dad wanted was vastly different. And because we were girls, we didn't have the opinion or options to do anything BUT what our father told us. We were women, he was a man. He knew what was best for us, we didn't know at all cause we were imaginitive and fanciful..." She shrugged, "So instead of listening to dad, ran away, became hunters and now were on a life mission to save the world from those things he thought were imagination." She laughed, "God if he could see us now, or me now. Bet he'd keel over and drag me off to some pysch ward."

"I see ya tryin' to butter me up with all this talk of bein' good lookin'." He said with a light smirk. It might have been working. "Just cause she popped out first? That's kinda dumb." Otto said with a look of incredulousness. "Yer goddamn twins."This father of hers was irking him more and more. Dads with control issues. Never not a trait he despised. "Woah. Dude, your dad sounds like friggn Rep." All this s**t about women being below men never seemed all that right to Otto. Being a guy, it was something that didn't affect him personally, but being someone who was raised primarily by his mom? Yeah, it didn't fly too well. "You don't still think like that do ya?" He asked with a critical stare.

"Buttering up? Why Otto where would you ever get the idea." Her smiled broadened, pearly whites showing as scooted closer to him. "But in this case, Is it working?" She hummed as she said it, though she was leaning in like she really wanted to know.
"Being born first is important to some people and some cultures. I guess it was Alaska's poor luck that she was born a couple minutes ahead of me." she blinked, moving back and thinking of who he was talking about. Rep? The bigger sun hunter she had sparred with? "I didn't realize he had issues with women, Uh...Rep I mean. I sparred with him once, and while he knocked my a** flat on the ground...He was quite polite and helpful. I learned a lot from just our one spar." She blinked again, "I may be painting a bad picture of him, I mean.."
She broke of though, surprised by his stare and question before laughing.
"Oh god, No no no. I've never actually thought that in the first place, nor does Alaska. I have a healthy amount of respect for men and women alike. The only reason would seem like it for men is because you guys produce a great amount of body heat that I cannot, and it makes it nice to nap with. As little girls maybe we saw life like that, but the older we got, the more we realized that his way of thinking is a bit old fashioned. At least I don't think we do. It was easier for us just to accept his way of thinking when we were younger and still in school, because fighting would be pointless. We weren't rebels, and our mom loved dad very much, to the point that she agreed with him on most things he said. Of course, she did encourage us in her own way to do what we wanted, to have dreams to go for even if they weren't what father had roadmapped for us. And she did stick up for us on few occasions, One was me dropping atheletics. Father was absolutely livid when I did that, because I could've gotten a scholarship on some sports programs. I didn't want to do that, I actually wanted to more artistic career. If I didn't become a hunter, I was thinking of being a florist..." She hummed before waving her hand off, "But this was when Alaska was still home and he turned all that disappointment from me to further pushing her."
She reached over and pinched his leg. "My story is just depressing though, and like you said, part of my past. I hope to start a new one here though. Make lots of friends, even maybe a semblence of a normal like life. I know we can't have kids but...I want to date, fall in love, get married. Live in a house, travel while we still can...And fight the terrible fight for the world all in my young life." She held her thumbs up and turned her attention to the show.
"Oh! Look Otto, their bringing out the Orca whale." She laid her hand on his arm and pointed to the stage, a black dorsal fin protruded from the water as did a column of water that sprayed the ones closest to the tank, giggling erupting from the parents and kids seated there. "This sort of reminds me of that movie, Free willy? I wonder if they trained it to do tricks too-" Her hand gripped tight as the whale lept into the air and slammed on its back, sending a huge wall of water to the front audience. "Oh~ OH~ It's so pretty but I am so glad we sat back here." She laughed.

Otto managed to contain a mild smirk as she leaned closer. "Maybe." He murmured vaguely. "Rep? Yeah.. if ya believe anythin' he says on Twitter, than he's got some hardcore issues with'em." She seemed to have had an alright encounter with him, which was fine for now. "Well, sup to you if ya spar with him but just be careful." He wasn't going to tell her not to. She was a big girl. She could make her own decisions. Nevada didn't look like she'd have any trouble making friends. There were a lot of anti social types, but she certainly didn't seem like one of them. While life on Deus would never be 'normal' it could at least become semi comfortable. Normalcy was something that had to reinvent for themselves. "Guess ya could always do flower stuff around Deus if ya wanted. Just.. wouldn't last long with all the raids n' stuff." He could never really get why the people here got married and stayed in houses. Houses were a beacon for destruction. Just how many times did that town get destroyed? How many lovers did couples lose in battle? It just seemed pointless. But, to each their own, he supposed. Companionship certainly meant a lot to some people. He sort of understood that part of it. However, it had been over a year or so since he knew that sort of emotional intimacy. His attention was now focused on the Orca. Nevada's hand on his arm was definitely noticed, his posture straightening slightly from the slouching he'd been doing. "Maybe some kid'll run out and liberate the sea life. But uh, don't think ol' Willy can make a jump this high. We're all gunna be pancakes." He mused in a murmur. "Damn.. they better've brought themselves a change of clothes." Nothing worse than sopping about in wet clothes.

She chuckled and then pinched his arm gently. "You're a tease Otto, such a tease." She was enjoying him so much more now sitting down with him and talking. It was quite different then the meets she had with him. The whale did one more back flip before sliding to where the trainers were, flapping on the stage as they threw fish into its mouth for good work.
"Twitter? I didn't realize the hunters even had a twitter! I guess I'll have to start a my own so I can talk to you guys on there?" She snorted, "Or I won't and stay ignorantly blissful."
"Oh?" She held her breath, make her own florist like area? Oh but the ground and soils probably wouldn't do much. She was quiet thinking of it before shaking her head. "I don't think the island would hold flowers well...maybe because of all the FEAR that bounces around..." thinking about it only made her hope for it, "No my job is suppose to be a hunter, so that's what I'll do. And nap when I can." Somewhere along the way, she was coming closer to Otto and when their hips bumped, she leaned her head down on his shoulder.
Again, not really shy about personal space.
"Then we'd hear the king of pop return and sing some sappy song about it." Micheal Jackson reappering from the dead would just make Nevada think Halloween got a hold of him and now was tempting his craziest fans in that way.
"Worse then pancakes, pretty sure Orca's are one of the few whales that would find snacks in the forms of humans." She snorted and looked down at the poor wet people. "Part of me thinks not, but it is a smart ploy to get them into the gift shop and buying one of there shirts. You know, for those who don't want to get wet?" She kept her head on his shoulder while speaking though, her eyes closing for a brief moment. Small nap time is a go.

Otto smirked lightly. Maybe, maybe he was a tease.
"Aah yeah. Its a good way to stay in the know of stuff, but its a virtual piss tank of drama. Browse at yer own risk." As a Death hunter though? Useful to know what the mindset of the others was. Petty information was still information. Besides, he liked to stay in the know. Maybe he was slightly nosy.
"Maybe not. Y'could always mosey through the jungle there, though." Deus was nothing if not scenic, anyway. It even had a cornfield.
Somehow the girl had managed to sidle up real close to him throughout the conversation. Before he knew it, he was being used as a head rest. Sly move, girly. Sly. So far she wasn't really bothering him, though. He'd allow this. Maybe Eva and Clerise's constant barrage of his personal bubble had trained him for this.
"See, now I just imagined the whale doin' the friggn Moonwalk." Otto complained with a sour face.
Otto somewhat cringed at the look of the teeth on the Orca. Yeah, he didn't much care to get too close to them choppers. He chose to live, kay thanks. "Ah, so that's why the gift shop is by the exit.."
. . .
"If you fall asleep, I'll feed ya to the Orca."

"Well a island full of teens and young adults could only be drama." She murmured on his shoulder, "I guess it helps to think that drama is a way of keeping us still like humans. Human issues with human resolutions." She laughed and then shook her head, "I don't think I will. I don't need to know everyone's personal deets, and the less I hear a bout people the more approachable I might be to them." Rep being a good case, if he didn't turn his feelings towards women on to her, then she didn't have to worry about those feelings from him at all.
"Jungle?" she asked surprised, giving a short huff of breath. "You must think me a amazon or something to go gallavanting off into some sort of jungle.Who knows what's in the woods...especially bugs. Or snakes." Two things she didn't particullary like in the first place. "I did see off in the distance some kind of fields, and of course the light house and such. Other then that, its sea sea sea..."
At the mention of the whale moonwalk, she squinted her eyes at the orca and then started to sing the song for Black and white. Cause the whale was both and because MJ did have a thing for moonwalks. "I bet he'd have a shiny glove on one of those flippers." She held her hand up to mock the fin of the whale.
"See, supply and demand at work in its finest!" She murmured again, her eyes returning to closing and a small sigh escaped. "Not even a tiny nap? I won't fall asleep, We still need to see the Whale Shark you can pet...and Penquins!" Somewhere, she had tugged her phone out and looked at the time. they were well on there way to the third hour of being here and she was sure that the small amount of popcorn wouldn't fuel them for much longer.
"Do you want to see that first or go get some real food and then resume our adventure date?"

"That's one way of lookin' at it." Otto replied with a thoughtful hum. He'd have a lot less prejudice towards the others that way. But still... so nosy. "Outta all the s**t we see, yer gunna let a little snake or two bother you?" He didn't have room to talk about fears, but then again he didn't see all that man animals on the island. "M'not too sure there are any snakes n' stuff there anyway."Oh yes, she couldn't sleep without seeing her penguins. "Well, whatever. But as soon as this show ends I'm pokin' you awake." Cause he wasn't sitting there all day waiting for her. "Uh.. adventure, then food. After sittin' here so long m'not really eager to do another hour of sittin' all over again."

"Although, curiousity does get the better of me. We shall see what the future holds~" She hummed back.
"Yes. yes I am most defenitly going to let a snake bother me. I am not the toughest girl on the island. Oh god could you imagine TWO of them coming out?" She shook her and shuddered. "No no no thank you."
"Just be gentle~" She teased. After 15 more mintues though, a quiet breathing from Nevada, the show was into its closing performances and giving credits to the trainers that were present. Once she heard the finale call, she lifted her head and stretched. Her sweatshirt rising high on her thighs before yawning.
"Okay! Let's go find the whale shark." She nudged the boy up and started pushing him out of the stands, 15 minute naps doing wonders. "You're the death hunter though, start using those sleuthing skills to find us a whale shark to pet? and then penquins." Don't forget the tuxedo birds.
"Oh wait! Otto wait!" She tugged him really close though, said to smile before pulling her phone out and posing.
/snap/
And then her phone was gone just as quickly as it came.
"Okay now we can go." She'd see the picture later after all.

Otto was a good boy, and let the girl nap on his shoulder while he watched the tacky show on his own. It was kind of cool, and the laughter of the kids below kind of made it enjoyable, since they seemed to find things funny that Otto didn't get. That and another couple got soaked, and it made Otto want to burst out laughing. However, he contained himself to a snort. "Aight.." He murmured as she stretched and got up. He was being herded, more like it. She seemed very eager to see those penguins. "I don't think my magic Death powers work like th---wha--" Suddenly he was tugged close. Just what did she want all of the sudden? Picture? She wanted Otto to smile on command? Not likely. But hey, he was feeling festive so.... Click. Better than nothing, right? "Okay, fine." He grabbed her hand out of habit now, and guided her to where he felt the best place to pet the sharks would be. Less people to bump shoulders with, and hopefully a spot where the sharks might frequent.

Nevada apperciated Otto for letting her nap, and for the care he took but she felt that snort and knew in her slightly hazed mind that he was probably laughing at drenched people.
"I think they do, You're just trying to keep them a secret. Though if you want, I can exchange lockpicking techniques, I'm QUITE exprienced at that!" Though she had a key to Rolands room now, she also carried around her own set of lockpicks. Something Mist hunters were suppose to keep on hands at all time. She looked confused for a moment as to why his hand was holding hers, because she had iniated it but...she most defenitly didn't say anything and was quite happy to be back to the hand holding.
She, instead of leading this time, followed after him and tried to send good zoning vibes to him through their joined hands. FIND THE SHARK TO PET, FIND THE SHARK TO PET, OH THERE IS A SHINY NO NO NO, SHARK TO PET. SHINY LATER.
"Do you like being in the death division Otto?" She asked since silence seem to come over them...or maybe because she was trying to break his concetration, or because she really wanted to know...or because of all three. Mostly all three.

"Lockpicking? Seriously? I'm down for that." Otto seemed surprised. That was a kickass skill to have. Maybe one day he really could check out Rep's locked room. A room with 4 or 5 locks? The dude had to be hiding something... "In return... I'll teach you something too, I guess."
Her question was met with a hum, looking around the tank for the best Shark petting zone. "Yeah, I guess. I don't know what else I could do, really. I kinda wonder how they pick and choose people for the divisions, though." What made them think he was suited for it before all this?

"Again something Mist hunters are required to learn. To be honest, We have to specalize in something that has to do with all divisions. Me and my weapon are no use for the moon division, we're both too small to properly defend." She hummed, "And I am in no means a bookwork girl, nor research unless I have too so Life's out. So I practice being better at more sun/death traits." She hesitated. "Mostly sun though, since I have a gun and he proves to be better at damaging then anything else."
Too much information? Never! She hoped Otto would be pleased with just how much he was getting out of her without even really trying.
"You've never had thoughts of changing your division, even with mister ahem...Caelius as your leader?" She wouldn't lie, she was thankful she had what seemed to be a more reasonable and okay leader. Though she hadn't formally met Aria, she had heard good things about her.
"I was told Mist hunters were short and they put me there." Somehow they were wandering a bit far and she wondered if she should state out loud that they may be lost when she looked over. Inside a display next to them was the largest water snake she had ever seen, and it was staring right at her. Oh god, it was huge, why did they have that in a aquarium, what happened if it got out? s**t s**t s**t.
It startled her so much that she squeaked and on top of holding Otto's hand, reached to hold on to his sweater too. Stopping them in mid walk. It was now a stare off between snake behind glass and wide eyed Nevada, What will you do Otto?
