'Why what? Why are you sweet and kind?' Adrienne chuckled at that, and gave a semi-shrug.
'How you were raised I would imagine.' and then laughed, giving him a proper answer that caused her nose and cheeks to colour once again.

'If you mean why you? I don't know..maybe I know a gift when the spirits give me one.' she said, lowering her gaze for a moment before looking up at him once again.

'Yes, I'd be happy to do so. I have to think of my reputation that's all.' she replied, smiling as she joked with Brian.
'I mean, spending all night with a stallion who isn't my mate! The gossip..oh the gossip.'

'Do you think I would be so cruel as to speak of you so well, and then to say "oh, but I want someone exactly like you, but not you"?' Adrienne asked, chuckling and shaking her head, her long, white mane falling across her face for a moment until she shook it out of the way again.

'Well, I was teasing. I'm not the sort to care what anyone thinks about who I spend my nights with. I mean.' she added with a hint of a blush.
'It's not like I'm an innocent, I've had children..and I know how exactly how that came to happen.'

She raised a brow in amusement. Oh yes, she'd caught that slip of the tongue.
'Why Brian, are you trying to make an honest mare of me?' she teased him gently, though if he asked directly right now, she was sure that her answer would be a positive one. He'd walked straight into her heart, a thing that earlier she'd said would take time..but what if it was just right? It didn't matter if it was quick if it felt like some sort of serendipity.

'Well I did. I think you can tell that even if I haven't said it directly, well I am fast thinking that I may not end up going home alone.' Adrienne said, not really wanting to play coy anymore. She didn't see the point, and she didn't want this encounter to end with them going their seperate ways and she regretting that they flirted and bantered but never spoke clearly.

'So..if you want to. I do to.' she smiled at him, hoping he would get the hint, she wasn't sure she could drop it any heavier or make it clearer. Speaking of..the evening had indeed crept up on them and she nodded.

'I'd like that very much Brian.'
She said his name with affection, feeling though that she's already found her own star, one that she hoped she could grow old with.

Adrienne nodded, colour high in her cheeks as she followed Brian up the incline, picking her way carefully in the gloom so that she didn't turn a hoof. The gentle touch to her cheek still felt like it was still there, she still felt like a giddy young mare, and now they were going to do something together that was remarkably simply, but terribly romantic.

She let out a happy little sigh, and turned towards him.
'You know, it's just occurred to me that I don't remember the last time I stopped to look at the stars. And now I'm doing it in the best of moments..it's been a good day.' she said with a smile.

'Well, it is special if you have someone special to look at them with.' Adrienne replied softly as she looked upwards, seeing the first twinkles in the darkening sky.

'Otherwise there are just sort of there, that's how I've always thought of them really. But most every day things take on a new aspect if you're doing them with someone you care for.' her tail flicked gently as she took sidelong glances at the stallion, looking between him and the night sky.
