Haides quietly escorted her into the stable so that she could lay down where it was warm. They were going to be parents. And with how joyful Jaromila was, he couldn't keep his heart from swelling. He helped his mate lay down on the straw and curled around her. "I love you," he whispered softly.
Beta smiled from her mother's side, beaming at her at Dea. "Haides is really happy." He didn't show it, but she could tell. They were best friends, after all.

Jaromila allowed Haides to lead her into the stable and lay her down in the hay. She rested her head against him when he curled around her and she smiled softly.
"I love you too, Haides, and I thank you for watching over me,"Mila told him sweetly.

Haides's expression softened. "You're welcome." He nuzzled her gently. "I will always be here for you."
(( Should we skip to them visiting Jaromir and Michiko? ))

Jaromila closed her eyes and smiled, knowing he really would always be there for her.
"I know and I will always be there for you too, Haides dear,"Mila spoke.
((Yep, sounds good))

~*~TIME SKIP~*~ Haides glanced at his mate for what must have been the twenty-hundredth time as they approached her parents' home. Nervousness had coiled up in his stomach, though he was doing his best to ignore it. He was getting used to the idea that they were going to be parents, but, as usual, he wasn't sure how Jaromila's parents would react to the news. Yes, they'd definitely be overjoyed for their daughter, but the fact that he was the father of those unborn foals... he wouldn't be surprised if Jaromir gave him an extra frigid version of his usual disapproving gaze. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, then smiled slightly at Jaromila. "How are you doing?"(( Should I quote Nilah and Becca? ))

Jaromila felt her mate's eyes on her again and she had a very good idea that he was nervous. She looked over to him and nuzzled him, trying to provide what little comfort she could.
"It will be alright, Haides, try not to pass out on me now. Papa is not going to kill you, he knows how much you mean to me. Plus, I am sure he is grateful you tried to help my family look for the missing foals,"Mila reminded.
((I would say I would IM them, but both are currently not on. I know Becca has been reading it, but go ahead and quote them anyway.))

"I'm not going to pass out," Haides grumbled, though he couldn't stop a smile from forming on his face. She banished his worries so easily... "That's true..." Jaromir had accepted his help in searching for Jara's missing foals. He glanced at Jaromila again, his blue eyes dancing. "You aren't going to pass out on me, are you?"

Jaromila gave a playful pout when he asked if she was going to pass out on him.
"Do you really have that little faith in me, my dear? No, I do not plan on passing out on you. I am excited and nervous, wondering what Mama and Papa will say when they hear our news. I hope my parents will be as happy for us as your mother seemed to be,"Mila spoke.

Haides chuckled. "I was just making sure, Mila. I'm not a mind-reader." He occasionally wondered if Beta was, though. She definitely acted like it sometimes. As for his mate, he was taking as many precautions as he could; he didn't want anything to happen to Jaromila or their unborn children. "It's hard to beat my mother's enthusiasm," he admitted, "but I'm sure they'll be just as excited." Teasingly, he continued, "They might be so happy, they won't let us leave." Though he doubted it would be that way, there was a strong possibility that Jaromila's parents would request they stay with them. But there was an equally strong chance that they'd be satisfied if they were staying with Serenity and Dea. Either way was fine with him; as long as she was safe and happy, Haides was content.

Jaromila playfully shoved him with her snout at his words, a soft laugh escaping from her.
"I do not know, I believe my mom may be able to match or exceed your mom's enthusiasm. We will just have to wait and see, right? Oh and do not say that too loudly, you could give them ideas,"Mila teased back.

Haides couldn't help laughing at her teasings, letting her shove him. "That's true. Your mother does get pretty excited." He nuzzled her happily. "I guess we're about to find out." They were approaching her parents' home now.

Jaromila nodded softly, her own laughter mixing beautifully with that of her mate's.
"Who knows, we may find it a tie in the amount of excitement our moms have for this news. Alright, so I suppose let us hope for the best,"Mila spoke.

Michiko was laying under her favorite tree, getting ready for her afternoon nap, something that had been abandoned with the birth of her grandchildren, though now that they were grown and everything had settled down, she felt comfortable doing again. She let out a big yawn, her ears flicking around, searching for some sort of noise, though it was painfully quiet. It was truthful to say that Michiko, the once vibrant and energetic foal, was now feeling her age, with the task of having to raise several girls, and then two rambunctious boys. Yet at the same time, she longed for the busy-ness of having kids around. Yes, she had empty-nest syndrome, badly.

Haides finally got his laughter under control, though he couldn't remove the bright smile from his face. He never dreamed his life would be like this. Whereas he'd once been so distant and cold, now he was... connected. He cared--and in Jaromila's case, loved--those around him, and those feelings were returned. It had never occurred to him that his future could be so beautifully bright. "Maybe so," he replied to Jaromila's comment. "Your mother might even surprise us and surpass mine's excitement." He nodded. "I always hope for the best." Especially since he saw all the negative paths that could be taken.

Jaromila laughed lightly, knowing he was right, her mother may very well surprise them. She took a deep breath and led the way inside, her eyes searching for her mother, knowing she had to be around the glen somewhere.
"Mama, it is us, where are you?"Mila called out, her eyes still scanning.
