"Thank you." Ka followed the swirly male, too preoccupied with seeing Cecelia to put together that this was the one who had hurt the mare in the first place. He only wanted to see her and the children.

The sound of hoof steps awoke the tired mare from her uneasy sleep. Nightmares had been plaguing her for awhile making it difficult for her to sleep. The young ones squirming against her side didn't help much either. It was going to take a lot being a mother. The hoof steps were getting closer and she wasn't sure if it was Damir or not. Forcing her aching body to rise, she stood protectively in front of her children, her head lowered ready to charge if need be. She saw the swirly legs of her mate before anything. "Damir!" She exclaimed as she rose her head and started her way towards him, and that was when she saw him. Ka Valko, the one whose last name her children shared. Cece froze in her tracks, not knowing what to do, her eyes flicked between Damir and back to Ka. Cecelia felt worried, and honestly, a little trapped. On one side, she had her mate, the love of her life who they both made mistakes. On another, her passion filled..lover? with whom she spent one night with. And behind her, trapping her retreat, the creations of her mistake, her children. "Ka...." Was all she could get her mouth to speak before her breath caught in her throat and she began to cry.

She was still beautiful, pity she was mated to that fool and pity he was himself infatuated with someone else. All in all it would make a good story for children. He rushed to her side forgetting all about the blue. He nudged her face. "It's okay Cece, its okay your safe, your mates safe," he glanced behind her, " Your children are safe, what is there to be afraid of. You have created a gift of new life. I am proud of you sweetheart, I will do what I can to help." Ka was not used to jabbering on so much but he meant it, he meant it with all his heart as tears filled his eyes looking at his children. He loved them already, and he would always love his little wild horned mare in a way, if not exactly the way Damir could. He went over to the blankets and knealt. His muzzle warmly touching the fabric of the first child then the others, they would be beautiful, like Cece. And carry his strong Valko blood.

Cece found herself unable to speak as Ka suddenly rushed to her side to try to calm her. Yep, that was the Ka she knew. Tears continued to fall as she watched him nuzzle their children. Slowly she made her way over to Damir, her head lowered as she nuzzled him softly.

Damir stood behind as Ka rushed up to his mate and her children. Jealousy plagued his heart but he stood his ground, not showing the emotions turning around within his chest. With every bone in his body, he longed to run this male off, to show him who exactly was better for Cecelia and her children, but despite his thoughts of injuring this rival, Damir knew in his head he would not harm Ka Valko, so long as he stood in good grace with Cecelia.
He went forward when Cecelia came towards him, and looped his head over her neck possessively, trying in vain not to glare at Ka as he did so. He watched protectively, still ready to give fight if Ka threatened him and his. His breathing came hard, and he knew that Cecelia could hear the struggle within him, no matter how hard he tried to mask it.

Ka plopped down beside the foals and curled up his legs underneath him. He extended his neck and created a semi-circle with his body. He heaved a giant sigh, somehow feeling complete for a moment. His thoughts turned to Tempest, how the hell was he going to explain this to Tempest. She might not be able to see these foals but she would know they were there.

Even though Ka was the father of her children, Cecelia had to make herself resist moving her children away. Her mothering instincts were apparently in tact as she didn't want anyone near her children, which was illogical since Ka was their father. "We didn't mean to disturb you, Ka, but we...I just thought you should know. I..don't want to keep you from your Tempest so I suppose we'll go now." She nuzzled Damir, feeling his rapid breathing knowing what he wanted to do to Ka she thought it best to leave as soon as possible.

Damir grit his teeth and forced himself to still. "They will be well taken care of back home. We have a large family that is more than able to watch over these. You will be free to pursue this... Tempest of yours." He said, his voice almost dripping with dryness.

Ka was kinda hurt they would be leaving so soon after he just got to meet them, however he looked at Cece and saw she was drawn. She had had his children and brought them to him. He looked at her with deep yellow eyes. " May I visit every so often so they know who I am?"
Ka glared at Damir. There was no just cause for rage and hostility here. "Well if you had taken your mare under your wing so to speak you wouldn't be in this awful position now would you. I'm trying to be civil, but if you pointedly piss me off then I will fight and I'd rather not since again YOUR mate looks tired." Ka grumbled some more about him not being man enough to take care of one mare...cheating bugger. But the last bit was too quiet for the others to hear.

Things were getting heated, and fast. Cecelia wanted both sides to be happy. "I...think that would be fair. They should know who you are..." She looked at Damir, "We can set up a meeting place with a time and date." Cece thought of Ka coming to Damir's turf might be a bad idea so she tried to figure something out that would please everyone.

Damir's eyebrows raised and his teeth ground together as he stilled himself, his muscles tensing with every movement. "Let me be clear to you, Ka Valko. I'm not the only one that has made mistakes in this relationship, and what there is in this relationship is none of your business. What is your business is these children. That is all. So if you would like to bugger off and out of mine and Cecelia's own business, that would be lovely. If not, then things can be arranged." His tail twitched in annoyance, much like a pissed off cat. "I will send a runner with information as soon as we have time to figure out a meeting place for you. Until then, it was a pleasure meeting you."

"No wonder she came running to me considering how much of a mule you are!" Ka snarled. "I think I am in here far too deep to just be concerned about the children AFTER ALL SHE IS THEIR MOTHER!" Ka panted trying so hard not to but still seeing red.

"Whoa whoa whoa guys..." Cecelia started rambling. Things were getting heated so fast. Sensing she may be the only one able to stop the fight, she moved from Damir to in between the two stallions, looking between the two of them ready to lower her head at either one. "Damir, we will figure something out. And both of you quit talking like that to each other. Will both of you just settle down and talk like the good stallions I know you both are. I don't want to have to use these bothersome things on my head but I will if I have to to teach both of you a lesson." Cece's movements were slow, her body still sore. She looked to where her four little blankets were, wishing the best for them.

Damir stifled his growl, his body still stiff with unreleased anger. His eyes didn't leave the other stallion as Cecelia spoke, and while he knew she would actually come after them, he really didn't care. This homewrecker of a stallion needed to learn a lesson and Damir was almost to the point in his thoughts of thinking he should be the one to teach him.
He broke contact with a small thought that raced into his head and looked at Cece. What he saw there hurt. What he saw there could kill him if he let it. He knew without a doubt that she loved him... but he could also see that she cared for this other stallion, and had Damir not been there first, she could probably have been happy with this Ka fellow.
He saw a future without him. Her, these four blankets, Ka... The whole ensemble. This male could offer her things that Damir couldn't. For one, Ka could be faithful, she could trust him to not run off at the death of a family member and make a mistake.
Damir shook his head and winced, backing up slightly and turning his head towards the east, back towards Aila's barn, and Damir's Chosen... if she was even there with her own mate.
"I'll be back. I'm going to take a walk." He said to Cecelia softly, intending to not come back until he had seen that this male had left.

Ka's ears were straight back. He was mad and puffed up and pawed the ground. And then Damir backed off. Well if he was going to be reasonable then Ka could calm down.
One of the blankets, a little male, toddled up to his mother and braced himself against her side. He was too young to have even the beginning of horns if he were to get them. But he had big ears and somehow that went straight to Ka's heart. He was adorable and with his mother it was one of the most beautiful sights Ka had seen.
