That was true and to be honest, if they had time to waste chatting, they had time to move and find somewhere warmer than this. Ryan gave Gale a slow nod in return, a weak smile at Eva as she came to his side and wrapped the scarf around his neck.

"Thanks, I'm glad to see you guys hadn't been executed." The last time he had seen them, they had all been given their death sentences. Not knowing the end result of that left him feeling worried sick when he had the time to spare thinking about them. So seeing them hear now made him feel weak in the knees with relief. Of course, that could have been the cold too.

In spite of the support from Eva, Ryan tripped over a few branches buried beneath the snow and landed on his hands and knees. He was okay, but the sudden stinging pain along his legs that followed, told him that that little trip had cost him some cuts.

Watching the hunters leave, he turned and saw several hunters in the distance.

She wished she was more help, she wished and hoped as she saw the poor hunters practically freezing to death.


There had to be something she could do. Her own fear shield was keeping out a lot of the cold, so there was something at least she could do. "Gale, give this to them." The huntress had stripped off not only her scarf, but her gloves and her hunter coat as well and flung the bundle of clothing towards gale. It was all she could give them, lease she run around only in her undergarments.... it would have to make due. She too now crossed her arms, the bit being a bit more not that she shed her protection as well.


But they needed it more.

Thanks to the warmth of Gale's scarf, she felt some of the heat return to her body, if only a little. Nodding, she stumbled about, not having much luck at keeping her legs from going numb. "Hmmm..?" How did they end up here? "Uhh..t-the horsemen found us. I don't k-know how we got here though." She paused. "I think they hit me in the head.." Sure as hell felt like it.

Moving to take another step forward, something caught beneath her foot, 'causing the hunter to trip and fall, despite Gale's assistance. Slowly pushing herself from the ground, she barely noticed the cuts on her legs. A bonus, she guessed, from being frozen.

Catching sight of the hunter, Jake, Kat returned his glare with an almost sleepy looking grin. Yeah, that was definitely the kid she shot. Without warning, the sash around his waist was loosed and tossed to her. She didn't know him well, but if she did, she might have been in awe at this kindness. Instead, he got another grin. "Why, thank you."

Ryan took her hand and started to stand when the same branch that had brought him down before caught and tripped him up again, re-scrapping his legs once more. It was only thanks to the numbing feeling in his limbs that kept him from cursing or letting out a sharp yell of pain. In fact, he almost didn't feel it at all.

It was good to hear they were safe though and by the sounds of it, all of them were. "Good.." It was the only word he managed to get out as he scrambled to his feet again. This time carefully eying the spot where he thought the branches were hidden beneath the snow.

They weren't going to get him a third time.

He too would like to know just what the **** was going on.
Kat's thanks only earned a frown as he turned back to where he had just- oh hell.
The fog had completely covered their tracks.

It was only out of pure necessity he was still stuck in this rag-tag group (he probably would of gotten lost if he wandered off himself), and he held the torch a little closer, using light to illuminate their path, as well as provide what little warmth it offered.

He listened to Kat's explanation of what happened.
So... They were abducted by horsemen? And still alive?
Were they even talking about the same horsemen here?

"I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure horsemen hate our guts. Why the hell would they keep you two alive?"

The Horsemen. The word made the girl flinch, but she said nothing, her mouth setting into a thin line. Honestly, she was just happy that they hadn't killed Kat and Ryan right then and there...but if they were the ones who left them out here to freeze--and who else could it be?--then that was already a death sentence in its own right.

She instinctively tried to grab Ryan when she noticed him trip, but her timing was off. Eva immediately bent down in an attempt to help him up, but paused when he forced himself back up to his feet by himself. That...well, that was a good sign, right? That he had still had some energy in him?

Eva kept an hand on Ryan's shoulder just in case, and was about to take another step forward when Gale told them to stop. For a second, she was puzzled as to why her friend asked to pause, but it quickly became clear when she turned to see him struggling to remove his coat. In an instant, she moved to his side to help him, unbuttoning the lowermost buttons before carefully--and with some effort--sliding the coat off of him.

"We'd better get back soon, before you get too chilly too," She murmured, giving him a quick, one-armed squeeze around the shoulders before moving back to where Ryan was. Lifting his good arm, she slipped it into the sleeve jacket, draping the other side over his shoulder before doing up the buttons as best as she could. "How's that?" She asked, brows creased in worry as she stuffed the scarf around his neck into the front of the jacket, "Does that help any?"
