~ Merrellmine! Stop your fighting! The eggs are hatching! ~ A soft thrumming sound came from Amaranth's throat as she informed Merrell of this new development. She backed away from the fight, making her way to Ja'kki. ~ We must stop this fighting! We must put aside our differences. The eggs are hatching. They must Impress or they will be lost! ~
Merrell's eyes flashed at this statement from her dragon, but she recognized the truth in it too. "Theres no time." She told the others. "If we we don't let them in and stop fighting, those hatchlings will go between. At least if we let the bastards in there will be a chance..." She didn't like it. She didn't like it one bit, but she didn't see any alternative.

When her adversary backed off Kleos wasted no time; still gripping her unbloodied blade she hastened after the beautiful Revolutionary. She kept her blade lowered as she approached, not wishing to provoke further violence but prepared to act if it came. At least the lovely red-haired woman saw sense, and was attempting to impart it upon her companion.
"Get inside Kaeyne," she said levelly, green eyes fixed on the woman her former opponent was trying to sway.
"You could tell us where the eggs are hidden," she went on, now looking back and forth between the pair of revolution fighters. "You have lost this day; do not make the hatching dragons pay for that with their lives. Tell us where they are hidden and leave peacefully; I believe that would be the best for all of us."
Hidden somewhere inside the cave, as yet undiscovered by the Resistance the Slender egg began to rock slightly beside the already actively shaking Knockbout egg.

Merrell narrowed her eyes at Kleos, sizing up the other woman, half wondering if she would attack again. Finally, she shook her head. "Don't mistake good sense for loss." She spat, glancing towards Ja'kki for help. She didn't want to tell them where the eggs were. She really, really didn't want to tell them. But she didn't want the hatchlings to go between either. That wouldn't help anybody. "You would raise these hatchlings in your blind, elitist society, never giving the worthy an opportunity to shine. You would damn so many people just for your antiquated predjudice." Merrell shook her head. "You can't win against us, not in the end. We have justice on our side. We have freedom and equality. You are nothing."
Behind them, Amaranth's humming grew louder, the dragon's eyes whirling in the darkness.

Devith didn't have the time nor even bothered to reply to Moriath. He had his claws full with the angry green as he ducked barely missing the rake of her claws as he bellowed a challenge up at her. So she wanted to dance did she? However he was not so lucky with the second pass as he leaped up trying to claw her in return and felt her claws dig and cut a bloody rake across his shoulder as Devith screamed in anger and pain.
"I'm high!? You're a candidate! If you get hurt too badly you risk not impressing! I won't risk a dragon going between should you get injured!" She snapped at him doing her best to control her temper. She had bigger things to deal with right now then his sharding idiocy.
"On top of it she's smaller and faster then you hence 'someone your own size' and you're armed with only a stick!" Hekate hissed at him shaking her head as she peered down at her opponent as the other woman stumbled to her feet trying to get sand out of her eyes.
"Do as Kleos says. If you tell us where the eggs are and leave you can go free. Would you really murder poor innocent hatchings?" She asked hoping to coax the other woman to come to her senses, but still kept her own knife at the ready. Glancing to the side at Kaeyne she shook her head.
"Hurry! Uncalled insults or not you need to get inside! They're hatching~" And then she felt Devith's pain wash over her like hot fire as she gasped and stumbled quickly coming to her senses as even the silver began his broken humming while keeping a wary eye out for his flying opponent.

Through Hekates crazed rantings and ravings, Kaeyne's enraged expression faded to simply unimpressed.
"People like you are why the wherhandlers revoluted," he said in a flat tone. "Self rightous and pompous, can't even see when you're being stupid. Shut up and go do something worthwhile. Long walk, short cliff."
Kaeyne sneered but did as told by Kleos, turning and stalking inside. "You're the only sharding sense here!" He called back to the crimsonrider.

Moriath felt a surge of annoyance from her rider, and that was all she needed on top of the tension that was already there. she ordered sharply.
Kleos meanwhile opted to try to keep some semblance of calm, and peace between her troops. "Thank you Hekate," she said flatly, "that will be all. Kaeyne, please do as I-" Ah, he was going; good. "Thank you."
Now to deal with the fiery revolutionary. "The way you have gone about the revolution is unconscionable," she replied, her voice tight as she strove to keep the anger out of it; she could not stand to be insulted so but they needed the information the women possessed. "I have standards of honour, and my honour forbids me from allowing the deaths of innocents. I am not blind my lady, and I am not elitist. I value every member of my wing regardless of the hue of their bondmate - my own is crimson - and I value the wherhandlers too, and those without a bonded. I do not expect you to take me at my word, but I speak the truth. Now, please, if you value the lives of all, tell me where we may find the eggs." What would she do if the woman refused to tell her? If the two changed their minds and attacked again? She had not even the faintest idea; she supposed she would just have to hope that the candidates would find the eggs, and that she and the others out here could defeat the revolutionaries.

Merrell didn't answer right away, she was still hoping for help on what to do. She wasn't a leader, she had never been a leader. She wanted to be admired and petted and respected, she didn't want to be responsible for making life or death decisions. Alas, it appeared she had no choice.
"Did you bring anyone who could stand for the eggs?" She asked, her head tilted imperiously. She had what they wanted. That meant she was in at least a little bit of control. And who knew, if they had viable candidates with them it wasn't completely outrageous to think they could be swayed.

What are you talking about? She is simply trying to make sure the other woman who stabbed the candidate boy does not try to do so again? Devith asked more then confused about why Moriath was upset with him and his yet again. What on all of Pern had he sharding done to her to make her constantly act this way towards them he had no idea, but left it be to busy trying to keep a screaming green off of himself.
Hekate glanced over at Kleos not even sure why the woman was thanking her in such a tone or why. All she wanted was for the sharding brat of a candidate to just stay alive and hopefully impress even if he was busy insulting her at every turn for no reason and Kleos was just letting it happen. "Um sure?" She replied not entirely sure how else to respond. Sheesh at least the other rebel seemed too busy trying to get sand out of her eyes to try for one last passing slash at Kaeyne. However that didn't stop Hekate from giving the boy a glare. What in all of Perns name had she done to deserve to be insulted like that by a boy she didn't even know she had no idea, but he was only making himself look more the idiot and Kloes was just letting it happen. However for now Hekate held her tongue.

At the call for the candidates Meroc made his move for the mouth of the cave breaking into a run to skid into the sand along the cave mouth wall glancing around in the dark warily. The last thing he wanted was to be sharding jumped by someone or worse mistaken for an enemy and attacked by his own people though with his handsome visage he doubted he could be mistaken for anyone else at least.

The question of where the eggs were was about to be solved with or without the cooperation of the Revolution. Hidden in one of the little side caverns the Slender egg hatched with not a soul to see it. The handsome sinuous pale blue who emerged looked around at first with blue eyes, but then abruptly with yellow. He had no concept of what the world was supposed to be like but his instincts told him that he should not be where he was, that he should not be alone save for a large wiggling green egg.
Proud body language shrunk down small, and the hatchling slunk cautiously into the main cavern, giving a piteous mewl that echoed off the walls. Where was he? Why was he all alone? This should not be!
((Those inside the cave can now find the Slender blue, and can work out the location of the Knockabout egg!))

"I heard something!" Aurelien called to the group, taking another step forward. "Hello?" he called into the cave hopefully. Was it a person? Was it a hatchling? He wandered further into the cave, hoping to get a better view. "It's okay! Are you hurt? Um. Maybe you can follow my voice?"
If it was a dragon--if it followed the sound, maybe it could find someone to Impress to!

A dragon!? A hatchling! Was that a hatchling! Oh and a handsome blue! Quite the proud thing too and apparently with quite a nice sense of bearing. Meroc had to wonder who the lovely lad was meant for as he grinned and watched the blue search standing still and glancing between it and the other candidates and the rebels. Quite an exciting hatching it would seem. At least the blue didn't look worse for wear.

Emerath made another pass at Devith as her claws found his hide, but the urge to welcome the hatchlings and her hatred of fighting had her retreating to the air in confusion. She was outside, hers and the others were inside. It was not right! ~ I'm coming back mine! This is not right!~ Thank Faranth for her miniscule size and turns of training, she slipped around the larger dragons, risking her hide but ignoring any injuries she might take for the sake of getting to her rider.
"A chance? A chance to what?" Ja'kki spat, she wasn't being attacked but a familiar rider with Wingleader knots was bearing down on them. It took her a moment to realize what Merrell might be thinking... the lovely woman did have an attractive way with words. It didn't dull her anger any though.
As Merrell and Kleos butted heads Ja'kki growled and got to her feet, sticking to the tall redhead's side like glue. She glared at Kleos. "Your poor little crimson still has more rights and recognition than any of our greens. Don't tell her where they are Merrell." Ja'kki hissed. "They want their dragonets so bad they can work for it. And if they die, well that's a better fate than brainwashing."
The echoing cry of a dragonet brought a fierce grin to her face. "Time's being wasted." She reached mentally for Emerath, feeling the green settling carefully near Amaranth. ~ Get ready to take us out of here. This could be a close jump between. ~

"I am aware of that, good lady," Kleos responded in clipped tones, "but that does not excuse the atrocities of the revolution. Your cheapening of the value of life disgusts me...." Moriath was speaking to her, or to be more accurate was showing her an image. A hatchling. "Be on your way then if you will not help," she said, making a gesture up at the sky; there was no call for her to tell the pair that she now knew where at least one dragonet was, and knew also that the candidate were nearby for it.
the crimson replied to her rider's unasked question.
Took often she felt as though she didn't know the wisest course of action. Did other leaders feel this way, or was she alone in that respect?
between yet,> Moriath pointed out after a moment,
Moriath was right. She hoped that the only path she could see ahead did not lead to disaster.

Kharmeen had managed to make it into the caves when suddenly someone was shouting that the eggs were hatching. Shards and s**t! This was not good! He was worried that there was not enough candidates for the eggs to Impress to... Fishguts! They didn't even know how many eggs were in here!
"I am here in the caves. My name is Kharmeen! Please don't stop me, we don't want the little ones to go between!" His voice echoed off the walls as he moved further in and away.
He heard shaking and cracking then a slight mew of distress. Moving faster and hoping to meet with the other candidates, Kharmeen only hoped he would be in time. ```````````````````` N'ymi moved up to Kleos and nodded at her. Daroth was humming deep in the back of his throat. The eggs were hatching and they would need the candidates there as well as food. "Whyna send teh flits ta find wha' food they can? Grubs, crawlers, meybe a small wherrie or two? Those wi' knives kin skin and help feed teh lil' ones. Meybe even Dar' kin go huntin'?"
