Stories? Kaede had traveled the world, she knew many stories. "Alright, how about the tale of the moon?" She said and smiled as the other little wrigglers came around her.
She relaxed herself and coiled about the little egg a little more. "Alright, this is a story of the creation of the moon, and how love can run through the passage of time. Once lived two dragons, Nupaka and Nuala, they were the first to run the land, to enjoy its bounty unmarred by any other creature. They were elegant and powerful, and in love, Nupaka was a deep brown that glittered like the earth, while Nuala was white and gray like a cleaned pebble. The two dragons loved each other more than life itself, they would never leave the other behind. They ran over the mountains, giving life to the Earth as they created a new world for their kind to grow."
"Little did they know that their love had caught the eye of a god, Zeus was hateful of this love, and did not enjoy how the land blossomed around theses two creatures who were no more that simple dragons. In an effort to breakup their sacred bond be went down to earth changing himself into a dragon far larger than Nukapa himself. He found the two lovers under a tree sleeping as he came forward. You see Zeus had created the dragons in order to form order in nature, and he knew that they nature of a dragon was to find the most powerful and follow. But Nuala did not find him alluring and turned her back on him as she and Nupaka fled to the higher mountains. Horrified by this disgrace Zeus flew back up to the heavens and watched with hatred as they laughed and sang to the stars above. But Zeus was not finished with this pair yet, he would have Nuala. The next day Nupaka awoke to find Nuala missing. He cried out and ran over the top of the trees and eventually saw her at the highest peak of the mountain. He kissed her and asked why she was up here. She replied that she had a dream that Zeus took her away and threw her into the sky. Nupaka said that he would never let that happen, because tonight they were going to consummate their love for each other under the darkened starry sky."
Kaede shifted and watched the little worms, hoping that this wasalright for the children to hear."That night they laid in their field of flowers simply being with each other. And before they could run away, Zeus was standing in front of them as the dragon again, he glowed with a power that only a god could possess. He ripped Nuala away from Nupaka and left running into the sky as he tossed her into the sky. Nuala curled up into a ball and fell into a deep slumber that she would never away from. Nupaka cried at the skies for his one true love to come back to him, but she did not wake or more from her spot in the skies. Nupaka ran to the hill they were on the day before and threw his head up singing the saddest song the earth had ever heard. The forest wept, and lost some of it wonder as flowers died and trees lost their leaves. Zeus smiled as he sat on his throne in the heavens, happily content that he had captured Nuala for himself. And every month Nuala disappeared from the skies and came to his bed. And for two days suffered. Nupaka still runs the earth, not allowed to join his beloved in the stars, only to sing to her every night on the hill."

"Does he still run around today?" Dog Bite blinked from where he was curled, eyes wide, shimmering and green. Miintakei had listened, seeming interested, and Neone... she was wiggling and trying to peek out at the sky, her shimmering light body seeming to ripple with her eagerness to see what she assumed was there.

Kaede smiled and saw the eagerness of all the little ones. "I like to think so, I believe that he can ride the wind. and you can still hear his calls to Nuala if you listen closely."
It made her happy that they were all so excited about the story. She had heard the tale while traveling a long time ago. It had always been one of her favorites.iHibari Kyoya Thank you, its my own writing.

"We should listen tonight!" Her tail flicked, Neone moving off of the adult's wrist to nose at her 'brothers' of sorts. "Want to?" Her ears twitched, her head bumped against Dog Bite's. "I don't see how it could hurt..." The brown male smiled slightly. The female wiggled around, seeming excited about the new adventure to go on. The egg seemed to shake in agreement,

 Kaede smiled, "I think that is a good idea, i believe Nuala would like if you all talked to her." She said nuzzling the egg lightly. This made her want children even more, just seeing all these little ones made her so happy.

Neone wiggled around, seeming to be excited about such a thing as she almost bumped into the large female dragon, making her shimmer with color for a long moment before she was able to calm the light around her. The others shut their eyes against the random blinding action.

Kaede squinted, but was amazed by the colors that came from the little dragon. "Neone how do you make those colors? It is a very special gift." She said and cuddled closer to the little egg, this egg was different from others she seen, it felt like she was meant to be around who ever came out of it.

"Guardian said is magic!" She wiggled. "Pretty huh?!" She rolled a bit before curling into a ball. The egg wiggled at her side.

Kaede nodded, "It is magic, a very good kind. You must have made the gods proud." She said and wrapped her tail around the young worm.

The little one giggled, the egg rocked at the adult's voice, leaving the others to simply look on as the rainbow swirled wiggler licked at the tail that coiled about her. [===] Time passed. After the first day or so, Black Amethyst had made a comment about something she wanted to do alone with the growing wigglers and even the egg. The white and red female had been requested to leave, to give time to the guardian and her teachings... As she was away, things happened. The wigglers grew and another egg had come, leaving very quiet activity to be had. Neone, now grown, was watching over an egg under the sun, coiled around it protectively as she dosed. Up by the cave mouth, the familiar guardian stood, smiling as she took in the sight of the female as she came near. "Kaede. It has been long. I hope your journey was well. You've arrived just in time." She sounded as though she knew something the dragon did not, but that was hardly new. At the second day of the dragon's stay, she'd taken on such a tone and let on nothing more.

Kaede smiled as she came up on the cave, it had become a comforting sight to spend time with Black Amethyst. "Hello my dear friend, I hope all has been well." She said and wondered what the guardian meant by she was just in time.
"Neone has grown into such a beautiful young dragon, and i see you also have a new egg. The gods can see that you are a brave and faithful guardian."

She bowed her head. "Thank you for your kind words." Her tail curled, the sun shimmering as it touched the blade. "Please, come in... The other egg is hatching today." She smiled lightly, knowing the female would take interest. "It's begun to crack, but it's not doing much else... I believe it might have been waiting for you." The canine turned and began toward the spot she'd placed the egg, settled in a small bed of moss under a beam of sun in the cave.

Kaede smiled and hurried after the guardian, "Waiting for me? Why do you think so?" She asked and sat down not far from the egg. "Amethyst, i do not wish to offend, but i feel a sort of connection with this egg. I cannot explain it." Kaede said and watched the egg start to wriggle.

"I take no offense." She smiled ever so slightly, sitting as well, watching the egg. "The reason I was waiting... is quite apparent." As the egg wiggled, there was a tap, and another before a crack split down the side. "I thought you'd want to be present."

Kaede watched as the egg cracked, "Have you thought of a name yet?" She asked looking at the guardian. The female dragon was smiling, happy to see the little worm starting to poke out of its shell.
