Nora grazed the larger orb, pushing her lean figure between the largest and smaller, but her movement tipped her into one of the later, grazing her skin against the energy. "GAH!"

Once past the wall she graved her shoulder, where the danmaku had impacted and saw how her HP Gauge decreased. "So his is like a videogame?" She blinked, and her eyebrow furrowed with agrin, "LETS PLAY SOME CATCH THEN!"
Deciding to use one card, the one she thought would be the best, she braced her feet,"Temperance Sign ~ Eye of the storm!" She held a hand infront of her chest, and with crackling energy a chaotic orb of orange danmaku started up, her eyes tinting orange as well. The orb grew and suddenly glew with blue, she pushed it up, the enormous thing. "BATTER UP!"

As it came down, she swung with her bat. With the new strength and her skill as an experience player, the meter tall orb of danmaku shot out like a meteorite, aimed for Nahumar.

----
"How rude to start a fight without waiting for the opponent to be ready," Hazumi mused, waving a hand as her card took some slots, but she was late enough she had to run to the side, to avoid the spears.

One of them was too close, so she jumped forward , landed on a palm and flipped over, sliding as at last she could see clearly-- Then the light was blinding," GAH!" She shied away shielding her eyes. She would have staid like that, had she not heard something approaching.

By mere sound she was able to narrowly avoid the tight knit wall, her small framed self perfect for dodging. Daring to open her eyes she could see now; her glasses had darkened, and her ears had turned pointed. "What...-?"

Hazumi had no time to react, the second wall was coming her way. The delinquent stood, and swinging an arm, a jagged wall of earth rose out and across the field, dividing her from Memory. "What is going on? I can feel the earth below me, the minerals and every rock. My hearing seems to have heigthened as well. It seems we each get new abilities; N's power, Nahumar's Flying... and with me this. That means Maria has one as well."

She staid ready, crouched behind her wall to wait for Maria's arrival, knowing what card she would use next. Two of her cards where meant to be used one after another. She would have to prowl for it, and the delinquent took out her pocket knife.

There is no way to win playing like a hero afterall.

---

"Mh, they look like pretty cards, better than mine at any rate." Maria tilted over to show Lucy the two that had caught her attention. 'Reporter's Way~ Flashing Blade' had two slash marks that 'X' the card, while behind seemed to be a small burst of light. The card it self was a crimson color that Had only a seal of black on the back. The other 'Swordman's Way' had a sheathed sword that glinted about to be drawn, black feathers rained around the sword. It had the same color scheme. "I think your cards fit though. I wouldn't worry too much about it, they must be some sort of collector's game or something. I'll look up the rules later. Oh Rose--- Eh?... Eeeh... bye?" the Editor waved awkwardly after the girl that ran off, not feeling quite right about her leaving.

"Do you think we scared her away...?"

Memory relentlessly continued the spellcard, each wave of spears getting thicker and thicker. But the spears seem to be too slow to hit Hazumi. When Memory's spell timed out, she decided to change up her tactics a little. Memory starts to release a simple pattern of flaming arrows that arched upwards, then gained speed going down out of a crossbow in her hands. Memory didn't want to use too many spellcards, the rules stated that the first one to run out of named spells also lost. Then she noticed the blade that Hazumi has pulled out. Memory smiled, then said in a fake friendly tone. "If it is a battle of blades thou seek, then a battle of blades it shalt be. Bladesman Sign - 'Cutting Light' " The crossbow disappeared from Memory's hands and was replaced by a glowing sword. She sprint forward and almost instantly appeared on the left of Hazumi, leaving a trail of white behind that stayed and cut whatever it touches. However, Memory does not attack Hazumi directly with the sword. Instead, Memory jumps to more locations, making more and more streaks of white. After making a good amount of streaks that covered about two thirds of the arena, Memory plunged her sword into the ground and all the white streaks turned into lasers and started to reflect off the walls while flying at high speeds.

"I guess so~" Lucy giggled and replaced her card into her bag and fastened its clasp. Knowing Maria thought her cards were pretty reassured her greatly, so only owning two usable cards wasn't that bad then.

Wait. What do you use them for?

The blonde girl turned to voice this concern when Rose disappeared into the school. She stood there, blinking, and wondered exactly why the girl left so suddenly. "Eh? How could we have scared her..?" Lucy asked, puzzled and staring in the direction Rose left in. "Do you think it was the cards? ...Or maybe she's just a weirdo." Lucy stated so matter-of-factly, and with a assured nod of her head. Already feeling Maria's stare on her, however, she quickly added, "N-Not that that's a bad thing, of course! After all, I'm kinda weird too....um... Maybe we should go after her!" She turned and took Maria's hand and pulled, wanting her to come with. "The night's still young, after all!"

====

"I...I suppose you're right." Reimu confessed with a small sigh, looking back for a second time. "But even still, they should have a referee, or something! What if they try to cheat? Or try to kill one another? We don't know what these...these things are capable of yet, and--!"

Yumi grasping Reimu's arm made her pause. She turned to look at the shorter girl, and was shocked to see how serious her face was. Reimu gazed equally into Yumi's eyes, somehow knowing whatever she had to say was probably important. "You do..?" She put her hand over Yumi's, squeezing lightly. "But... how?..."

The gentle touch of the tennis ball against her shoe was barely noticed, and it wasn't until she heard the accompanying footsteps of the ball's owner that Reimu broke her gaze with Yumi. It was... Byakuren, ever the bubbly airhead. Reimu mentally groaned as her fellow athlete bounced over (literally...), apologizing for the wayward tennis ball and for interrupting them.

"Ah... Don't worry about--...wait, what?!" Reimu took a step forward, stomping her foot against the floor. "Time together?!" She turned to Yumi, re-acknowledging they were still holding hands. The color drained from her face, aside from the bright redness on her cheeks. "D--Don't be stupid, Hijiri! It's nothing like that; I don't even know her name yet!" Out of embarrassment, Reimu tried to wrest her arm away from Yumi, though her attention was still on Byakuren. "H-Hey! Don't just walk away after making an accusation like that! Hijiri!!"

====

"What's wrong, my dear~?" Yuuka asked in a whimsical tone. With the most subtle movement of her legs, she too defied gravity and joined Sorina in the sky. A magical aura swelled and burst around her, causing excess energy to overflow and drift from her body and disappear into the breeze. "This is an 'experiment', is it not? Or are you afraid of challenge?" Yuuka held her parasol outwards, pointing its tip dangerously at Sorina, as if believing it was a weapon itself. "I must admit, this feels amazing~ Why, I feel as if I could crush the world in the palm of my hand!" She emphasized this by holding her free hand outwards and squeezing an upright palm. "But that's only speculation, of course~ So for now, let us try something a little... simpler."

After drawing the black parasol back like a blade, Yuuka swiped horizontally to the side. The tip of her parasol released a dusting of golden danmaku into the air. None of the bullets were aimed and were poised to fly in whatever direction they chose, creating a random pattern. A second swipe released another wave of fewer bullets, though this one held in a tighter, crescent-shaped pattern, and would hold that shape as it sped across the sky and towards Sorina.

Nahumar looked up at the orb. He realized he already used one of ten minor barriers and with only three major barriers left, he had to conserve. Nahumar tried dodging out of the way, grazing the bullet but not before taking damage to his health. It's damage was a lot more than his normal bullets, but a full force attack could of been fatal.
"Fine then." Nahumar pulled one card out and cried it's name.
"Fear Sign [Arachnophobian Web]!" From where Nahumar stood, streams of Danmaku shot out from eight angles. They were then patched between them with three more rows like a spider's web. Nahumar himself hovered in the center...only now the illusion seemed to make him look like a giant spider to his opponent. His pattern seemed simple enough. Three bursts of five danmaku bullets followed by a fourth that fired a spread of orbs that traveled much slower repeated four times. The pattern was just like a spider shooting web and trying to encase the target.

---
Sorina flinched, the wrong move to do, and tried to ignore the bullets that missed her on purpose. However, the second swipe was a direct hit. The impact left her at only half health and kneeling down from the weight.
"I-i thought this was a test?" Poor Sorina did not know how to react. It was overwhelming to see it in action, let alone be in it.
"If it is a test, I could try to use one of my cards then." She was obviously helpless in one aspect, but willing to adapt if given the time. A perfect opponent to torture.

---

"This is not good at all." Hanalli commented as she ran down one of the halls, still looking outside the window at Nahumar's battle. Just seeing him create a web of these things was something that seemed frightening. Her path would eventually reach Byakuren as she accidentally bumps into her and fell on her behind.
"Ow...I'm sorry. I ran a bit too fast." Hanalli rubbed her head to soothe the pain from the fall. Her smile was still present but hiding the fact that Nahumar had such power.

Rose still stared at her feet as she thought of what to do. She decided that she should accept that she made a mistake and say that she mean to go the other way. She nodded to herself, looking confident, and left the school and turned towards the path she had just come down. Only to see Maria and Lucy coming her way. Rose yelped. This was not part of her plan! She looked side to side quickly, trying to figure out an escape route, and quickly dashed back into the school and down the hall. She ran down the hall, both hands clutching her backpack's handles. She quickly made a turn down another hallway and ran up some stairs.

She stopped for a bit to catch her breath and looked out the window near the stairs. "Rose...!" She said, with a sigh. "Why am I like this? Why am I so weird around people!" She asked herself. She then began to walk briskly up the stairs.

-----

Yumi was about to tell Reimu her idea, but with what Byakuren told them, she completely forgot it for a bit. Did they actually look like... NOOOO!! "Time together?!" Shwe yelled in unison with Reimu. She looked at Reimu as she looked at her and turned red too. She then looked away at the ground to her left. "I-it's not like that at all!!" Yumi yelled after Byakuren. She tightened her grip on Reimu's arm too, and didn't notice that Reimu was trying to wrestle it away from her. She then remember that she actually hadn't told this girl her name yet. How rude of her, but now was not the time. Not now. Never now.

When Byakuren seemed distracted by another girl, she then remembered her idea. "Oh, I remember!" She said to Reimu, still holding her arm, for some reason she didn't realize she was still holding it. "My idea was... we could play the card game." She told Reimu. "But I'm not a fan of that idea." She admitted.

-----

Byakuren turned around when Reimu and Yumi yelled time together in confusion. "You mean you two aren't together?" Byakuren said. "But you two look kinda cute together, and the way you were looking into each others eyes so deeply..." Byakuren held her head, her tennis racket still in hand, and stared off into the sky. "I only wish to find love like that one day~" She said, dreamily. She then shook her head and cleared her thoughts. "Well, that aside, I guess I shouldn't have assumed. My apologies, Hakur- Ehh?" She then received a bump into her leg from a girl with blonde hair. "Oh! Are you okay?" Byakuren asked her, bending down and giving her her hand to help her up.

Byakuren then thought she heard Yumi say something about a card game. But Byakuren didn't say anything about it. She had her own cards but did others too? She waited to see how this played out. She was curious, though, she seemed more cheerful than serious and curious at the time. She then turned her attention back to the blonde girl and asked, "I'm Byakuren Hijiri, What's your name?"

Noraneko grinned widely as she saw the life gauge decrease. She knew a left field attack alway did it! The baseball player chuckled,"Show me what you got Pretty boy--"

"E-e-e-eaaaaaahaah!!"

And just like that, her cocky attitude dissolved like sugar in water. Clinging to her bat with both hands, Nora held the wooden to her chest stepping back to clatter in her clothes. Of all the things and spellcard 'Arachnophobia' was the perfect one for her. Nora had an extreme hatred and spite for the arthropods, she simply couldn't stand them.

The webs where her first hint and one Nahumar's illusion was implace the poor girl was reduced to a heap of trembles and pity. She gave a girly shriek of panic and turned around to run away from the giant spider, tripped and got plummeled by the danmaku, knocking her health gauge down to the red zone.

When the dust and debris of the attack cleared, she ignited with the orangy-red energy one more time, "Indigo Sign~ Mechanical Diachromity!" Raising from the ashes of Nahumar's spell, eyes closed in fear, she held up her card. A circle of danmaku spun around her turning into a gear. That gear begun to branch off into different smaller gears like a machine. This was one of the desperate cards Nora had identified. Her bar mysteriously gone, the frigthened girl held her clasped hands over her chest as she continued to blaze with the temperance energy. Her eyelids tigthened, before she let out a scream and held the sides of her head.

The gears spun maniacly releasing the danmaku out in small orbs but with deadly speed. The orbs where fast and small, but in large quantity meant to startle and hurt the foe.

----

Hazumi stood ready as Memory seemingly overrode her stone walls. As the other girl dashed to her she braced herself but once she saw Memory wasn't moving in for the hit, she waited following memory with her eyes. When at last the girl stopped to vanish and appear, and the lasers begun to shot. She threw out the first card.
"Blindness Sign~ Internal Fiend!" All light was absorbed turning the arena pitch black and absorbing all the lasers that had been released due to the fact they produced light. Silently, Hazumi slipped her glasses off and prowled, knife poised to strike if she saw anyone move in the darkness her eyes where used to.

-----

"Oh definitely, we should make sure she is fine," Maria nodded at Lucy and let the blonde girl move her away towards the path of the fleeing Rose. Carefully lost in thought as she walked by her friend's side."I wonder if it was something I said?" She mused,"Its a bit of a habit to ask so many questions about anything. Maybe we should see if she wants to come along with us. She seems really shy, and maybe she could use the company, you know?"

A bit of a self-proclaimed protector of the needy, Maria had never hesitated to get in Norakneko's or Hazumi's path before, but time and time again had been defeated. Still, the least she could do was help someone in need of something so simply as company and social skills. Maria was sure Lucy wouldn't mind, that'd give her someone else to run her mouth at in the very least.

"Well Well, this isn't too pleasant of a spell, I can't see anything. Why don't you tell me how you are going to fight in this dark?" Memory's face stretched into a slight frown. She was upset at the fact that she was pretty helpless if she couldn't see anything. Judging from the confidence Hazumi had when he used the spell, she must have some way to deal with the dark. Memory realized her disadvantage and started to think of some way to counter this. She could hold out until the spell times out, but that would mean losing at least a third of her health. Using her third spell wasn't going to help either, she didn't know where to aim. A supporting spell seemed to be a mighty good idea at the moment. But it may also become a waste of energy, Memory had a hard time deciding. But in the end, she just went 'screw it' and pulled out a support spell: Warrior Sign - 'Skjaldborg'. A circle of semi-transparent men in chainmail appeared around Memory and made a circular wall of shields. This was one of the weaker defensive skills, the shields can be knocked down easily. But it gave Memory time to think of a new strategy against the darkness. Memory has been forced onto the defensive, usually a bad place to be.

Meanwhile, on the roof, the battle between the Leena and Rekinna has been raging on. Neither one of them had used a third spell since their second one ended. Neither one of them gave each other a chance to even activate a spellcard. At this rate, the two will run out of physical strength before they run out of magical power or spells.

"Hey, asking questions is part of your job, miss editor!" Lucy said reassuringly, still tugging Maria along the trail Rose had taken. However, she turned to look at Maria at the suggestion of a third tagging along, a slightly shocked expression on her face. "What? But... I thought it was just gonna be the two of us... I guess that's okay..."

Now well inside the school, the hallway was surprisingly empty, meaning Rose had probably taken one of the side hallways. The question was, which one? Has the trail really gone cold already? Lucy looked back and forth, standing at a crossroads of hallways. "Where did she go so fast?" Brushing some stray hair from her ear, Lucy listened carefully, and could pick up the faint sound of footsteps echoing, but it was difficult to know from which direction. "Maybe... this way!" Still pulling Maria along, Lucy rounded a corner and ran down that hallway, trying to follow the sound of Rose's footsteps.

"No, we're not 'together'." Reimu repeated, her voice very flat to stifle some anger. However, that effort quickly evaporated; "And what do you mean, 'love like that'?! Like what?! There's no love between us!" Though still fuming, Reimu had given up trying to pry her arm free from Yumi's grasp; that girl had an impressive grip, that's for sure.

Reimu let out a sigh, being both a little relieved and annoyed that the blonde girl from before had returned and interrupted Byakuren. Maybe the two overly-energetic girls would keep each other occupied! Hoping that would be the case, Reimu tugged Yumi to the side to finish their conversation privately.

"Play the game? You mean... try using the cards?" Reimu leaned in closer and spoke in a hushed voice for that last part, so neither Byakuren nor Hanalli could hear her, and sincerely hoped that neither of them would think she was trying to steal a kiss from Yumi or something stupid like that. "...I don't like that idea, either. We've only just learned about it, so trying it ourselves might be...risky. We'd need to find someplace private, too."

"By the way," Reimu straightened out, seemingly not minding the fact Yumi was still clutching to her arm. "I never got your name..?"

====

"Why of course, this is a test!" Yuuka said, her smile persisting throughout the ordeal. She hovered lightly and touched down next to where Sorina knelt, planting the tip of her parasol into the floor beneath her feet like a king might plant his sword, right down to weaving her fingers across the U-shaped handle. "So this must be 'magic'... And the numbers seem to denote some kind of life force? And it appears that, while you took the brunt of my attack, there wasn't any physical damage rendered."

Chuckling, Yuuka bent over to bring her face closer to Sorina's. "Though, it appears to me that you still feel pain, isn't that right..? Hehe, how interesting~!" Straightening herself, Yuuka held a hand to her side, palm upright. One of the five spell cards hovering behind her broke ranks and floated into her hand, while the remaining four remained in place to await their master's command. "So, let's see what happens when I do... this~" If Sorina were to act, now would be the time...

Nahumar noticed how much he took from her, but was confused as to why she was frightened.
"Is she that afraid of spider webs?" he whispered to himself, ignorant of his illusion and manipulation of fear. The next card did make him worried though. As if he remembered one of his own.
"A time out card?" since he had to endure for the duration of the attack, Nahumar had to think on his feet. What made him even more confused was the fact that the orbs passed through his arms, legs and his head. It seem his major area was a small area on his chest. The supply of bullets now seemed more like a handful that had to be dodged. Eventually, he did get hit by a few, reducing his health to an orange like state between yellow and red. He chose to use a small barrier card towards the end of the card's duration. However, he did not use another spellcard yet. Instead, he fired small spreads of Danmaku bullets in her general direction once more.
"I do not want to go easy on her, but I have to find out what she was so scared of me for?"
----

Sorina did not want to look into her eyes nor respond. She only used a card to counter her.
"[Neverending Sorrow of Ten Eons]!" she cried, hovering high in the air as three waves of teardrop shaped bullets headed towards Yuuka's direction, then followed by six small lazer attacks aimed at her position before turning back around. Her card had a nice design and pattern, but would it even dent Yuuka?
"What is this game exactly? Nahumar seemed to be more confident about it...Why can't i be as strong?"

---

Hanalli hopped back on her feet with Byakuren's help.
"Oh you are Hijiri? People always talked about you for being a great tennis player. I am Hana Anali!" she happily asked. Then noticed Reimu and another girl.
"Hey. How about we get out of this school while the fireworks seem ready to kill people on sight? Like a place to eat and chat?" Hanalli seemed like the more outgoing girl with such a smile on her face. She wanted to live in the ignorance that she has for the time, despite having cards as well...or does she?
"Judging from my brother's combat, i rather not stick around myself to see the result. I thought I heard screaming from his area."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 08, 2012 11:43 pm

Byakuren gave a small giggle at how cute Reimu and Yumi seemed when flustered. Hana had heard of her and told her that people always talked about her being a great tennis player. "Aww, thank you! You just have to try your very best!" She told Hana. But what Hana said made her stop and look at her. "I'm sorry? Did you just say 'kill people on sight'?" Byakuren was shocked and a tad annoyed. "Why are you just letting your brother do that?" Byakuren asked Hana. She then sighed and shook her head, replacing her annoyed look with a small smile. "Nevermind. As long as people know to stay away from him then things will be fine." Byakuren said. She then patted Hana on the shoulder and smiled. "Alright then, lets go." She told her. She really wished to keep an eye on Yumi and Reimu and see what they were doing, but this little girl really seemed to want to eat and chat.

While eavesdropping on what the two were talking about, Byakuren heard some rather... curious things mentioned by Reimu. Byakuren smiled at the two and said to them, "You liars!" She called, jokingly. "Well, if that's how you two feel about each other then go ahead. Just use the proper equpiment." Byakuren called to them with a wink. She then turned to Hana and said, "Alright, lead the way."

-----

Rose heard footsteps behind her. They were following her! Oh dear, what to do! All she could think of was keep running. Maybe they'd forget about finding her and go. The hallway at the top of the stairs didn't go far. It actually lead Rose to a dead-end. "GAH! NO!" She called. She quickly look from left to right for anything to hide behind and saw a garbage can nearby in the corner. She quickly pushed in next to it and curled up, holding her knees. She had taken her backpack off and had it placed over her head as some sort of childish shield.

From the top of the stairs looking into the hallway, one would easily be able to notice some shoes sticking out from behind a certain garbage bin and a trace amount of backpack visible over it...

-----

Yumi shook her head each time Reimu said that 'they were not' something. She followed Reimu when she tugged her to speak privately and answered Reimu's question about her idea. "Yes, I mean the cards." She whispered to Reimu. "I know... I know..." Yumi said to Reimu. The idea of this game still seemed foul in her mind. But they had these cards for a reason, so they might as well find out what's with them. "Where would a good, private area be?" Yumi asked, quietly.

Reimu then asked for her name. Now was a good time, since Byakuren wasn;t listening and the topic has almost changed completely. "O-oh, right. My name is Yumi Seresute." She told Reimu. "And I already know your name, Reimu, from when you introduced yourself to that boy." Yumi added. When she mentioned Nahumar she gave a mad look to the ground but shook that off and looked back at Reimu, now releasing her from her grip. "Oh, sorry about that." Yumi said. "Now, where should we go?"

But what Byakuren said made her face lose all of its color and replace it with red. "WH-WHAT?! WE'RE NOT LIKE THAT!!" Yumi screamed at the tennis player. Yumi had never even thought about doing that sort of thing with anyone. Not even her. Not Reimu, but her...

When the spellcard timed out, Nora was still holding the side of her head, trembling as the blazing orange-temperance energy vanished. Her eyes where now open and looked somewhat paranoid. It wasn't because of her fear of spideres but because of something else in the back of her mind that seem to tug at chains and want the freedom to trash anything in its way.

Thankfully, an orb hit her feet, and she snapped out if, using a barrier spell to protect herself while she reacted. Nora ran to the side, and drew a third card. If she was going to lose she could at least try to---

The orbs hit her and she went down, landing on her face as her gauge went to zero.

---

Hazumi sneered, baring some sharpened fangs in the dark that no one could see.

"Blindness sign!~ External Fiend!"

The voice came from above Memory. The light was all absorbed into a point above her in a flash, drawing the blinds out and letting the sun shower and astound the enemy. From the point above the orb of darkness shot out a quick successive barrage of multicolored danmaku all aimed into the circled of chainmailed men, avoiding them all together and going directly at Maria.

---

"Well, she seems to need some friends, she did just run for it, I think it'd be good for her," Maria said, trying to lessen Lucy's disppointment,"Besides, we can always go somewhere else some other time. It shouldn't be to tough once you stop getting lost in the campus and we don't have to waste time looking for you!"

Lucy had made the right turn, and with the editor in tow, soon enough were making it up the stairs, where they found the badly hidden Rose. At this point Maria took the lead and went to the trash can bin,"Uhm... would it make you feel better if we don't find you Miss Rose?" Maria asked the trash can politely,"We were just going to ask you if you wished to come out and tag along with us tonight. They say the more the merrier, right? So.... uhm... do you want to come with us?"
PostPosted: Wed Dec 12, 2012 9:43 am

((As requested by Trio himself, taking my turn now...))

"But I'm the new girl...I need friends, too..." Lucy mumbled under her breath. The way Maria worded it, Lucy took what she said as, "we can't go because you got lost and wasted my time."

Luckily (or maybe not), Lucy and Maria had chosen the right path, the one that lead them both straight to a cowering Rose. Lucy stayed behind Maria as the latter approached the trash bin Rose hid behind, the blonde girl shifting uncomfortably where she stood. "Um...y-yeah! You can come with us!" Lucy said cheerfully, or at least as cheerfully as she could force herself to sound. "It's not like we had anything special planned or anything! ..."

In Lucy's bag, resting besides the strange deck of cards was a small box, wrapped with bright paper and a colorful ribbon. It was a gift for the young kendo student, one that Lucy had planned on giving Maria as a way of saying thanks for her company and friendship. Lucy had wanted to give it to her privately, and on their first trip together. Maybe it could still happen, even if Rose does tag along! It wasn't the end of the world if another girl comes with, and there's nothing saying she'll be with them the whole time...
This small self-reassurance lessened the weight of Lucy's own jealousy. She smiled genuinely and ran over besides the trash bin, reaching down and grasping the "hidden" Rose's arm. She tugged playfully and laughed, "So come on, silly! I bet it'll be a lot more fun than sitting behind the trash can all night!"

Reimu was relieved when Byakuren lead Hana away. She tried her hardest to ignore the two completely, so it never dawned on her that Hana would be talking about Nahumar at all. Although, Byakuren's final comment to the two earned another blush from the soccer player, as well as a spike in her anger. Unable to fathom any action short of sending a blunt object rocketing in Byakuren's direction, Reimu swallowed her pride and her rage and simply walked away, taking Yumi by her arm (again) and leading her away and down the hallway.

Certain they were out of earshot of Byakuren and Hana, Reimu finally spoke to Yumi. "I don't know...maybe the gymnasium? It should be empty at this time of night. And if the cards have such extraordinary effects like we've seen, then the gym will give us plenty of room to move about. It'll also be behind closed doors, so it should go unnoticed unless someone comes barging in..."

Before Yuuka could call her own spell, Sorina rose and declared her own. The sudden retaliation of the gypsy-looking girl took the student by surprise, but one would never tell by looking at her face, for the oddly unnerving smile never left her features.

"So you've still some fight in you? Excellent!" Yuuka said, almost laughing, as she casually waded through the first and second waves of the tear-shaped danmaku. As the third approached, Yuuka took flight once more, effectively avoiding them altogether.

The lasers were trickier to judge, however. Attempting to dodge the six blasts earned Yuuka a few tears in her clothes, and two direct hits. Her numbers that displayed her "health" dropped by half, edging into the orange-ish zone. Yuuka clenched her teeth through the associated pain, her smile turning to a darker grin.

"As I was saying, let's see what happens when I do this! Native Machination: Magnum Spark!" Yuuka crushed the glowing orange spell card in the palm of her hand, scattering shards of glass-like dust into the air, and drew her closed fist back. She then raised and leveled her parasol with Sorina's heart, while the magical aura surrounding her swelled and snaked around her body, wrapping up her arm and gathering at the parasol's tip. The "weapon" glowed brightly, before - BLAM! - the first round of highly-compressed magic was shot, followed by another, and another, the barrage of fire sounding not unlike a cannon being shot. The muzzle flash also created a number of small, slow-moving danmaku that wafted towards Sorina along the breeze, but the main rounds were much quicker. Unknown to even Yuuka herself, this card was designed to break through defenses at the cost of diversity and elegance.

Nahumar and Nora would be lowered as the duel finished. They would safely land on the ground and no longer in those outfits. The five cards that Nora used were displayed to him as if to take one as a reward. He shook his head.
"I do not need to take her cards. What I want to know is why were you screaming like you saw a rat?" Nahumar wanted to know what exactly was going on during his first card. He was intimidating but not frightening.
"You possibly heard my name before, but mind if I get your name? After all, we may need to stop acting like enemies at one point and work on one goal." and then, Nahumar could hear the loud fire of Danmaku from one of the buildings.
"Sorry to cut this short! I-i have to see what is going on!" Nahumar hurried up the stairs, wondering what was happening. Many see him as a Delinquent. In reality, he was just not interested in school much until he Met Sorina a year ago...

---------

In that single moment... Sorina did not know what to do. She took each direct impact, even when her health was at zero from the first. It wasn't until the spell was finished that everything returned to normal. The five cards that Sorina put up would appear before Yuuka, a notion to take one as a reward. Sorina was confused by all this coming at her so fast that she looked up and wondered what was happening.
"What was all that?" She then realized the five cards were not in her deck but waiting to be chosen.
"I lost?" She slowly started to think of the possibilities of what would happen now-
"Please. Don't take any of my cards. If Nahumar found out I did something stupid again, he might get angry at me. I beg of you." She tried to persuade the woman before her whom she had no idea what she was like. She was helpless still. Plus she did not know anything on how to play the game.
Her favorite card, however, was a special card upon chosen.
A Gate Card with a white hue like snow.

-----------------
Hana smiled brightly as she led Byakuren away from the group of people and more towards a simple fast food place down the block. She could trust Byakuren with the information, feeling the energy from her cards.
"If you know about the cards, then how about I ask you some questions? Unless you want to forget about them?" Hana dug through her card pouch and pulled out a special card. Unlike her others, it was a Gate Card. It was a lower portion of a large gate with the hue of a golden amber.
"Now I do not know if you have seen the other kind before, but this one is what scares me a bit. The card is called 'Amber Autumn Gate'. From looking at the image, I assume there are others like it. I tried using a computer but I still could not find any information of the cards. Maybe.... Maybe it's just some weird game like on those Anime shows?" She tilted the card, as if looking for any words to read other than the name. It did shine when reflecting light however, making it pretty!

[Revised Post. If it seems short well too bad.]

Nora pushed up to her feet. Her head was silent and she herself was back in her regular outfit, which was more that enough to confuse her. Undusting her pants she couldn't help but think how odd it was to lose a fight. Noraneko never lost a fight, in fact, she was one of the few who could claim to having beaten the Kendo Team's Captain!

When she saw Nahumar get close, she gave a small flinch, but once she saw it was just the delinquent, she fisted her hands, putting them to her hips. By the time Nahumar inquired about her reaction, though, the baseball player turned a flistered shade of red and crossed her arms," I am Okashii Noraneko, for what ever you reason you are curious."

As Nahumar asked her about why she had reacted the way she did, Nora blinked with big blue eyes. Suddenly looking emberrased shot to the sides before She tugged him closer for a split second. She put a hand to the side of her cheek as if to cover her lips before whispering,"I Will only tell you because you won; I am a bit terrified by spiders--- "

"HEY WHERE ARE YOU GOING?"
Nora stepped back as Nahumar ran for it. The delinquent wasn't about to let him go just like that, she scopped her bat and bag she ran after him and up the stairs where both delinquents would encounter the beauty school beauty Miss Sorina battleing the usually quiet and reservedMiss Yuuka.

Nora blinked standing by Nahumar. She knew Yuuka from her chemisty class, which was the only class she ever did attend. It was a bit confusing to see whatever was happening develop.

Indeed It seemed There had been a duel much like the one the delinquents had experienced, but Noraneko could have never seen Sorina nor Yuuka purposely engage in such a thing. The tall girl was somewhat curious as she stoo at Nahumar's side with her bag slung on a single shoulder as if it where a backpack and her bat in the other hand. Had this been what had gotten their attention after their own duel?

"FOR SURE," Maria smiled encouragingly. She was more than happy to see Lucy be friendly to someone other than herself as the blonde girl pulled out Rose out of her hiding spot. Perhaps this way Lucy would meet new people and interact with more than the kendo captain.

"And do not worry Lucy, if you still want to go somewhere after today, I Will gladly show you around," Maria turned to nod at Lucy, hands put inside her pockets as she smirked at the two girls, before teasingly adding,I am well aware you too are new to the campus and all!"

Maria was known as the kind to defend the weak. Perhaps she was popular in her own sense of the word; not for the fancy name of the rich family of the 'East Eggian' society, but for the fact she defiled the name. A self-proclaimed black sheep, Maria never hesitated to help someone in need, going as far as over stepping her boundaries in intervening in fight with her kendo sword.

Rose looked up and gasped. The two girls had found her! She felt scared but then remembered something; She had no idea why she was frightened of them right now. And now they were inviting her to go out for a night on the town with them. "W-well... Are you sure I won't be a bother?" Rose asked them. Lucy then tugged at her arm and told her to come one. And Maria told her "for sure".

Rose felt like crying. This was so sweet of them. Her eyes looked watery, though, she did not cry. She nodded her head and stood up. "Okay then, I'll go with you two!" She said, happily. She lifted her bag off of the floor, where it had slumped to after Lucy tugged on her arm, put her arms through both straps, and held on to the straps readily.

Yumi followed Reimu down the hallway. Like she had a choice. Reimu pointed out that the gymnasium was a good spot for this game. "Good idea. Let's go." Yumi said. She grabbed Reimu's wrist with the hand Reimu had a hold on and then lead the way for her and Reimu to the gymnasium. She opened the doors slowly and peered inside. No one was there, it seemed. She walked all the way in and stood in the empty room.

She sighed and said, "Well, here goes nothing." She pulled her cards out of her satchel and held one in front of her. "I challenge you, Reimu Hakurei, to a... umm... Spell card duel?" She asked Reimu. She had no idea how this was suppose to work, but she tried her best to work with what she could think of.

Byakuren watched the two go into the school. Her curiosity was great, but she remained with the girl. The girl also had these cards. How strange... She held up a golden gate card and told her about it. Byakuren chuckled when she asked if maybe it was like an Anime show thing. "Maybe, Hana." She told her. "I know very little about these cards myself, though, so I won't be of much help." Byakuren told Hana. "But those two from before, the cute couple who kept denying what they had seemed to know about these cards. Or at least know something." Byakuren pointed out.
