 Mud gave Althea a firm nod. “Yes captain.” She whispered softly before looking over at Charcoal. She didn’t know this buck but that didn’t much matter at this point. She gave a soft nod before moving forward, beside and slightly behind him. Her ears ever alert as she listened to the sounds of the barn around her. She moved to the hutch beside Charcoal, putting her paws up on its mesh screen.
She pawed at it slightly, making the softest bit of noise. Not even using words yet. “Wake up.” She called her voice hardly above a whisper. She pawed at the screen again, making a soft scratching noise, which easily could have been mistaken for one of the rabbits inside the hutch.

 Sandbur was too invested to stop now. She hadn't smelled or heard the feline nearby and she backed up, bolting head-on towards the buck who lent his paw. She leaped onto his back and lunged off of him, colliding into the side of the oar container. She wasn't going to be high enough at any point to reach it. She mused quietly, nose twitching as she got up off the floor, thinking how stupid she had just tried to be.
edit: But fortune favoured the stupid! She saw something peeking about from behind the corner! A bag with a tear in it! And inside the bag were long strands of beans! She pulled one out and all the beans seemed edible still. That brightened her mood.

 Something in the corner of one of the animal stalls caught the doe's eye. Was that a carrot? That feeling had gone away, and besides, there were cats in and out of here all the time. She was just being paranoid... right? As she investigated, she kept both eyes peeled wide open.

 Talltale remained still as the doe ran and leaped off him. Looking up at the container, it didn't seem to move much and it was still kinda high for someone to get up on. Ears twitching he sat up and looked around. Everyone else was moving off to their own areas of search.
"Here let me give it a try." Talltale suggested to Sandbur looking at the container, not noticing that the doe had found something.

- staff post - The dark doe stirred quietly in the hutch, blinking as she yawned. Lifting her ears as much as possible, she looked over the bundle that made up her sister and brothers and their shared warmth towards the sound. Nosing closer to the chickenwire that covered the hutch door, she sniffed at... rabbits? Smelly, though. Different. Wild perhaps? She'd never met a wild rabbit before. "Hello?"

"Hi!" Coal grinned at the pretty black girly that came forward. His voice was excited but quiet. It was odd but he wasn't scared at all. He supposed one brush with dead made you braver. "So, we were wondering if you might want out and you know how a weakness in the hut we can exploit and if you know where the food bins are." He hoped he smiled charmingly and she wasn't put out by the tattered ear hanging in his face.

Mud Flower looked at the buck next to her. She could have planted her foot in his side, while it was great to be friendly he was being just a bit over exuberant for her taste. She waited till he had stopped speaking before lowering her ears. “We are wild rabbits, for a down not overly far from here. What my friend is trying to ask is if you know where the farmer keeps your feed? We are running terribly low this winter and there are kittens that could use it. We would be more than happy to bring you along, if you wanted to come.” She said looking back over her shoulder towards where she had seen Althea last. There were only four rabbits in the hutch, but she needed Althea to make the final call on this. “If you do not wish to be free, then we won’t make you of course.” She moved back some, the way she had come.
"Althea." She hissed out softly, calling her as quietly as possible. "There are four."

Lamb noticed a bit of... something... happening. New voices- voices she didn't know. Clearly not warren voices. There was so much in here to pay attention to! She began to slowly approach the new sounds, still keeping an eye out for flay and danger.
When this was all over, she was going to take a nap. A nice, long, quiet, safe nap.

Talltale turned and looked back towards another part of the barn. Seems that they had company, 'caged' company. Ears flicking he turned his head to one side. He would have loved to head over and meet the new faces, but he had another job to do. Finding food.

Sandbur snorted and shook herself off. She had the bean vine around her neck and looked to the other two for a moment. "I doubt we can tip this alone." She said. "But maybe if you two put your backs into it we could get one or maybe two of us up there and get it open. What say you?"

The Owsla marli left off searching for flay at Mud's beckoning and approached the hutch. Four? She didn't know if they could handle that many. Might end up as easy targets to elil, or worse hold back her own rabbits as they tried to protect the coddled bunch.
Still, it was hope for flay, wasn't it?
Stepping up behind Charcoal and Mud, she peered over the both of them to look at the hutch. It only had one layer to it, unlike the others she'd seen. Four lumps, as Mud had said. All dark.
"Greetings."

- Staff post - Awoken from his sister crawling over him and all the noise, the he yawned and pushed her off, stretching before he investigated the noise. But when he did, what a shock. "Rabbits?"As if they could be anything else. "Leave? Oh I don't know about that. We all do, one way or another."And it was true. The farmer would take them one at a time, and 'leaving' meant not coming back. He could only assume what that meant. "As for feed, there's a wooden bin in the corner there. Dried stuff mostly. There's a sack of apples he keeps pegged up by the door though." ---------------------------------------------------------------- Balancing delicately along the wooden beams, her soft paws made nary a sound as she watched below. Now now, didn't this look familiar. Yes indeed, in fact that big one... that big one...
Her eyes widened as she crouched low, tail lashing. Perhaps it was just about time to 'drop in' on this little reunion.

 A few more scans were made as noises of voices drifted towards him. He slipped his head back into the barn briefly, nose twitching as he saw a group of his warren mates clustered around one of the cages near the back. Given their demeanor, he assumed all was being handled well enough and sighed.
He turned again, head pushing back out into the open slowly and resuming his guard duty, as it were.

Mud moved back to the hutch as Althea moved over. She waited as the other rabbit spoke. This one a male sticking his head up, she took note of the fact that they were all dark of color and if she was right an even split in gender.
“Yes wild rabbits.” She whispered softly her nose close to the chicken wire that had them boxed in. She waited for a moment before squirming a touch uncomfortably. Leave, as in go and be eaten, was what came to her mind.
“Yes, I suppose that is true. But if you want out of here now, to run while you have the chance, before the farmer comes?” She queued before looking back at Althea, the larger doe standing behind her.
“Thank you.” She commented softly looking back at the buck before turning to look at Althea once more. “I doubt we could get the apples, but the food bin in the corner should be ripe for the picking.” She commented softly her ears twitching back and forth. There was an uneasy feeling in her stomach, and she couldn’t quite place why.
