Gurrrrl. Where have you been? So good to see you again 'round these parts!

FE12 would also be a great opportunity for you to exercise your Japanese further if you don't bother patching it. I myself just started playing it this week.

WELP. That's okay.
But it's not too late to join the party! Or maybe you can play it in February while we're all playing FE13.

=DDD HI GUYS!
Well, I wasn't a big fan of Shadow Dragon, and 12 is the sequel, right?

Yes. And muchly better.

I was shocked at how much better it is than Shadow Dragon, honestly. FE13 even borrows some ideas from FE12, which is a pretty big compliment (How's Everyone/Everyone's Room and My Unit).

It even has support conversations!

It goes to show you that a remake doesn't have to be bad.

Indeed. It also goes to show how much better Shadow Dragon could have been, but that's neither here nor there.

FE3 itself was a huge leap ahead compared to the original Dark Dragon. There was more to remake than in Shadow Dragon, and then they went in and added far more. Plus more that came in later in the series, including the supports, class-changing, the BS FE maps and such.

I've said this before, but a few things about Shadow Dragon and New Mystery make me think of what Nintendo did before the release of Mother 3. They released Mother 1 and 2 on the GBA to get the series back into popular consciousness before releasing Mother 3 after a long time of the series being absent (especially after the ill-fated N64 version. Hey, another thing in common with FE!). But especially with MU's inclusion in FE12, I wonder if the re-release of the Akaneia games was to get the continent back into common thought and play with some new ideas that would be in FE13.

If not, it probably helped anyway.

I see.

I was really disappointed in SD. I wasn't a fan of having character promote into classes outside of their character type.

That's present in every FE since SD. Including Awakening. And Awakening has been more successful in Japan then any other Fire Emblem ever (likely for numerous reasons). Although it DOES have limits on reclassing that the other FE11 and 12 didn't have, mind you.

Of course, no one forces reclassing.

Let's Dance!

Darling.

The english Fire Emblem (Mystery of the Emblem): Heroes of Light and Shadow english patch is go! After all of the hard work, time, and dedication put in by the translation team, let's give 'em all a great big thank-you!

So, Anyone gonna play it straight away? Have you already started playing it? Played the Japanese version? Thoughts? Concerns?

Hi ~

Can you explain how would I get this to work? It says I need to drag and drop a clean FE file into the "DRAG CLEAN ROM HERE" but I don't know where to find it. Can you please tell me where it is?

Sorry, but I can't tell you about the locations of any ROMs, as that is against Gaia's TOS. You're on your own with finding a Japanese FE12 ROM. Though talking about patches is free game.
