The half angel returned to her seat, watching the two interact. It was nice to see that Phyl was trying to not be scared of Vic - he could be pretty intimidating to those who didn't know him, that and the truth of the matter was that she herself was much more intimidating than she let on, but she never wanted to show it off in front of kids.

At first Vic had a surprised look on his face thinking that it was just some prank but he realized it wasn't one. The adult nodded his head welcoming the little girl to sit on his lap. This made him a little happy and he would remind himself not to push it. Looking over at his wife he flashed a smile, showing her how happy he was about what was happening.

Phyllida trods over, crawling into his lap and smiling(It looked more like a grimace from an outsider's view) and ticking happily. She looks up at Vic and then to Moira "What's your Tick favorite color?" It was a general question, but she didn't know what else to talk about!

Moira smiled at the two, happy to see that things seemed to be calming down now. "I tend to like golds and blues." She stated simply as she reached for a book behind her on the shelf, one that had an interesting binding.

Oh how he had to resist the urge to hug the little girl again but she was just as cute as one of those dolls. It only fueled his want for kids and hoping they were all girls. Nothing was wrong with having a son too but girls were just too cute. It would even be best if they looked like Moira. God it was torture having to wait but there was no choice in the matter. "Cute." Vic let out in a whisper looking even happier than could be at the moment.

She glances up at Vic, blinking "Cute is a Tick color?" What a confusing thought! She never knew cute was a color... "What does cute Tock look like?" Obviously this was the best question for her to ask.

Moira laughed, "I think he was talking about you - He just overjoyed by how cute you are." she smiled at the girl before opening the book to start reading. "Since we adopted Tobias, he's been wanting more kids." She said simply, though she wanted kids as well - but more along the lines of adopting more of those who ended up with their guardian either dying or leaving them.

Breaking out of his trance he realized what he had said. Luckily Moira had cleared up what he meant but it was still embarrassing that he had actually said that out loud. Sighing he removed Cupid from his shoulder and placed him on Phyl's lap. He had enough with getting the bird's affection when he would rather get it from someone else.
Looking down at Phyl he thought it would be alright to at least pet her head. That would be a small step right? Slowly he brought his hand on her head and began to pet her ever so gently.

Cupid puffs his feathers out, flying over to Moira and getting comfy in her lap. Phyl giggles, smiling "You made him mad mr Tick Vic; he thinks you smell good." She nuzzles his hand, flinching slightly once when his finger brushes against a crack hidden in her hair. "Is that why you guys are Tock at the library? Findin Tock out how to get a kid?"

Moira nodded, figuring that the girl was mature enough, she decided to tell her. "Yeah. Our kind has a ...different way of having kids, and I don't feel like asking the only couple aside from my parents - godforbid I know where my parents are - who have had kids." she sighed, thumbing through the book she was holding.

Vic felt the flinch and it only made him worry that maybe he had been too rough in patting her head. It wasn't as if he was that strong. Hell Moira was stronger but compared to the little girl he was stronger than her. It only made Vic pet as light as he could, scared to hurt her. "Sorry." He whispered very lightly then looked to his wife. Maybe if Moira didn't want to ask the other couple maybe he could but that plan was quickly shot down by the fact that it would prove difficult since he still dislike to talk to those he didn't know. Just great.

"Oh, I knew that Tick already! I read it Tock in a book before." She nods, smiling up at Vic in a kind fashion "Having kids is Tick a great thing, as Tock long as you take good care of them..." She coughs awkwardly."At least, I think Tock that's what it's supposed" She pouts defiantly "I never Tick wanna get married Tick and have kids."

Moira smiled as she listened to the girl, bemused by her current thoughts about kids and marriage. "Having kids is a huge responsibility that some people aren't quite up for, but our kind are a bit different than humans. We Metas seem to have the luxury of growing faster than the humans for some reason, and we also have kids a different way - which is why Vic and I are here. I don't really want to bother my sister-in-law about it quite yet either because I wanted to to be a surprise..for a little bit until we make an announcement.".

It pleased Vic so much to see Phyl so happy with him. Just not too long ago he doubted himself that he could be a good enough father but seeing that the situation turned around gave the incubus some hope. He was still going to get help from his wife of course. To him, she was like master of handling kids and having them like her within seconds. He had hope that it would be the same for him though he was sure that he would have to get over his dislike of speaking but it was a work in progress.
Vic sighed before turning his attention over to Moira's explanation. It saddened him to listen and remember everything that had happen but he knew without a doubt that the same wouldn't happen to their own kids. He wouldn't let it.

Phyl's expression suddenly turns very serious and she frowns "... Don't get Tick you children from Santa Tick Clause. He's evil." She nods, pouting slightly before explaining further "I was Tick reading a Tock book a while ago Tick that said Tock Santa delivers babies to parents by chucking Tick them down chimneys!" She flails slightly, horrorfied by the thought "Only Meta Tick babies though! Humans get a stork to Tock gently place them in their mommy's arms! Why do we Tock get chucked Tick down chimneys? I'm Tick not that durable!" with that she pouts, puffing out her cheeks.
