"Hmm, Ah dun think yer a downer. In fact, Ah really, really really like ya. Ah like ya very much ta be more exact." Ofelia was telling the truth, and she placed her hands on her hips in a sort of matter-of-factly way to show she wasn't joking. Her saying she liked him was very vague though, it could be interpreted in many ways, and the redhead was sadly not at all the type to go into elaboration unless asked for clarification.
So, to maybe make it worse, she plowed on to the next bit. "Well do we even know if there are cameras in that room, or weren't in there? There's gotta be sommin' somewhere, Ah refuse ta believe this can happen an' no one knows 'bout it. This island is small, there aren't a lotta people, so things get easily overlooked an' easily found."

Deryk looked at the sun hunter for a moment or so, not sure what to make of her words there. Liked him a lot? That almost sounded like she might have had a crush on him, but... no that couldn't be it. That was probably reading too much into it. He just shrugged off that notion, shifting his weight a bit as he sat there on the bed. "Well.. nothing stopping ya from looking. Some people don't like their business dug into. Could mean a lotta trouble, yes. Had to have killed them for a reason. Might do the same to anyone who digs too deep..." he said quietly.

"Hah, are ya worried 'bout me? Ya dun really need ta, Ah doubt Ah'll get anywhere even if Ah do ask 'round. No one's gonna tell me anythin' an' Ah got few ideas on where ta look anyway." The teen removed her hands from her hips and stretched above her head, taking care not to pull too hard or her stitches might protest something fierce. Being stuck back in the life labs for a few days because she stretched too hard sounded like one of the dumbest reasons ever and she had a list already going. "Ah will look inta it though, in mah own way - do ya wanna have me share anythin' wit'cha or would ya rather be left outta the loop? Ah can an' will do either option, since Ah'd prefer ya feel safe 'round me." Which meant, of course. "Though me lookin' inta things would make me unsafe period so the best way ta be safe is not ta look."
That would totally defeat the purpose.

"well.. if you really want," Deryk said with a bit of a frown still. He felt like he had been frowning too much lately. But everything was pretty damn crazy. "Well..."Did he want information shared with him? It was a good question. Right now, he was a little on the paranoid side that just knowing anything could get him killed. "N-not right now... maybe I'll change mind if you find something but.. not sure if I really wanna know."What if the killer was someone he thought was relatively innocent? Like.. Allan? That would kind of crush his image of the man.

Deryk really was frowning too much, it almost made Ofelia want to stick her fingers into his mouth and make him smile. That would not end well for anyone in the room though, of that she was slightly certain, so she didn't. Self control won out. . . for once. Too bad it didn't happen on more important issues, like not investigating something that would likely get her killed.
"Ya dun got time ta afford ta be wishy-washy, Deryk. If ya dun stand by yer choices then yer not gonna be able ta do the right thing when the time comes." Ofelia preached, sort of, though she really had no room to pinch an inch. It was always easiest for her to just play along and do what people said, changing her story sometimes to fit their needs, but the one good thing she had? Ofelia was stubborn, her ideals were her own, and there was no one in the world that could change that. There was also nothing in the world that would change that either. "If knowin' someone's killin' people off could save like...yer life, or mah life, wouldn' ya wanna know who the killer is no matter what?"
This was starting to turn into a game, at least it was somewhere in the back of Ofelia's mind, and that was dangerous.

Deryk scratched his head at Ofelia's words, then let out a sigh. "Ok. Ok. I guess. Bit of a double edged blade, it is... yes," he stated. He still wasn't really all too thrilled about the idea, but she seemed to be pretty damn intent on it. "If you're gonna do it. Just.. be careful. Really don't need more murders around here. Never good for there to be in fighting. Won't be able to handle the real dangers if it keeps up," he frowned again.

Ofelia was probably a little touched at his concern though she surmised anyone would be saying to that a person who was going out into essentially what could be considered a very, very bad idea. It wasn't as though the teen had a death wish and was going to pursue this because she wanted to die; the reality of it was she wanted to set Deryk's mind at peace and see him smile, for a change.
Was it sad to think she was willing to maybe get herself killed just so one person could sleep easier and maybe be happier? Ofelia didn't seem to think so and she moved back to the bed, plopping down next to Deryk before snagging a brownie from the basket.
"Ah'll leave the rest'a these here wit'cha an' maybe drop by later today wit' some actual food. Or maybe ya can hit up the kitchen instead since Ah dunno if ya'd be in here an' that'd be a wasted trip." It seemed as though maybe the drama of what she was going into, maybe, didn't weigh much on her mind or maybe Ofelia was just acting as she normally did and didn't want Deryk worried. Either way she stood back up and shoved the brownie into her mouth, chewing and swallowing before turning to face the door. "Ah'll send ya a text if Ah find anythin', or jus' come an' hunt ya down in the end. Only if it's important stuff though, an' only if Ah feel like ya dun need ta worry if ya know 'bout it."
As if Ofelia knew how to properly screen things.Blade Kuroda would you like to wrap this up in your post, or my next one?

Deryk smiled faintly at Ofelia. She definitely seemed pretty worried about him. She was almost fussing about him. A part of him wondered if he looked like he lost weight or something, considering she was wanting to feed him it sounded like. Well. His appetite hadn't really been too strong thanks to the stress he's been under, so maybe that was the case. Taking another bite of his brownie finally, he waited a moment or so before speaking back up. "Alright. Thank you... Don't need to worry about so much, yes. Just inna sorta rough patch is all. Still.. thanks," he said before finishing up what was left of his one brownie. He didn't grab for another yet, but he'll be eating through the rest slowly. "Oh. Uh. And.. thanks for the brownies too. Yes."Rown Feel free to wrap if you feel like you can get in one last post!

Ofelia smiled, a soft and honest smile, and before she could really even think it out she found herself wrapping the blonde in a warm and friendly hug. It was brief, their contact lasted but a second, and she tightened the grip before letting go and moving towards his door.
"Jus' remember, Ah'm here fer ya, okay? Any time, any place, over anythin', Ah'm here. Dun...suffer alone when there's someone willin' ta bear the load wit'cha." She spoke softly, un-Ofelia-like, and she moved out of the door.
There were things she needed to do, places she needed to be, and a person she needed to help learn to smile again.Blade Kuroda and we're out! thanks again as always <3
