Trying to find his stride, he dodged around another rabbit, unused to running with moving obstacles in the way. This was... different. Different was good. Now more amused by ducking around others than the actual race, Cocao started to make himself a nuisance.

 +Birchbark+ Birchbark ignored those racing around him, it did not matter their time; all that mattered was he gave it his all to run. He would be a runner, helpful to the warren. ‘And I could fly.’ He smiled at the idea, his ears knocking back to try and keep the wind from them. He had a good start, but not perfect. He gained no speed, but he held it, that in itself was something to be proud for. Even if he could go no faster, if he could just maintain this speed he would be fine, he hoped. He tried again to go faster, he had to hurry; go faster and faster. Even as he ran he shivered a bit. Running was life; and he wanted to be sure his was full.

Nearly tripping over his own paws as he twisted around another rabbit and had to catch himself awkwardly, Cocao shook his head and got back to running, his side-game now no longer entertaining.

+Birchbark+ Birchbark winced; he had not been paying attention. He kicked something hard and nearly stumbled, but quick movements saved him from lagging back to far. Still he lost speed that he had not wanted to lose. ‘I have to gain, not lose what I had!’ His flagging speed made the buck feel worried; but never the less he pushed on. (( ooc: 4/10 Total 26 ))

Scurrying about, he looked up to see the dark buck in the distance and twitched his ears. About... halfway now? Maybe? Bodies were still pressed in around him and he tried to break away from the pack to have a clearer path to head up.
