Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? Purewalkes come from the Indian burial ground where Oyohusa opened/cursed a tree, opening the gateway from the Underworld to allow Pure Skinwalkers into the world. Another way is when two Purewalkers give mating a chance. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? They are not allowed to. They are pure evil and do not know the meaning of love, nor care to want it. The only time they might form a bond is to mate, but then it is violent. That is the only thing they know. The Rest of It Name: Malack Temper: Destructive Personality: "You will all be mine, in Death!" Brief History: Brought forth by the tree, she goes out to show that she is the best, the only one to destroy the Cursed. She left the burial grounds soon after arriving, looking for her best territory and finding it along the mountain side. It allows for her cat form to move about and attack from above, just the way she likes it. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Malack is searching for her next hunt. She has found hunting them in a maze fun. It causes her lips to curl in amusement right before her paws destroy them. Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change? At first they do, but eventually the evil overcomes the feelings and they are just as cruel as a Purewalker. 2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker? They would go to kill them. Calculating a way of which would be most painful for his prey. That is what they would be to him, prey. The Rest of It Name: Tolbert (Messenger of Destruction) Temper: Cruel Personality: "Let me think...Umm, yeah just die already." Brief History: Tolbert was never really the nicest or kindest of Soquili. The rest of his family couldn't understand why and soon he found himself on his own. He enjoyed his time away and soon was corrupted by evil, worse than what he had already felt with his family herd. How Were They Cursed? While on his own, he was stalking a mare, scaring her as he followed. His fangs showed right before he nipped her rump and ran off. Tolbert realized he ran into Oyohusa and bared his teeth. His remarks were harsh and unyielding and before he knew it, Tolbert was hit with the corpse powder. He got near the mare, finding that she had a bobcat companion, he attacked, letting the rush of death fill him before taking the cat as his own. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Tolbert waits for the unsuspecting to come walk into his area. The remains of his killings litter the area, but still brave or stupid dare to enter his forest and water

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? Purewalkers are basically expelled out of the bowels of the Underworld via the demon tree stationed in the Indian Burial Grounds. The gateway was created by Oyohusa, a shaman tainted by hatred and imbued with strong, spiritual affinities by which he worked his dark craft. By desecrating the corpses that had been interred there, Oyohusa successfully introduced Purewalkers into the lands. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? No, Purewalkers cannot actually experience feelings of affection, much less love. Any alliances that they form would be for strategic or nefarious purposes, rather than out of any emotional bond; but even those agreements would be short-lived due to the tendency of these beasts to act out their bloodthirsty and/or cruel nature. The Rest of It Name: Jillian Temper: Insidious Personality: While mindless killing has its perks, Jillian prefers to play at her own pace. She feels no particular kinship toward her fellow Skinwalkers, and finds their gratuitously bloodthirsty antics somewhat displeasing and misrepresentative of their species as a whole. That is not to say that she hasn’t been known to slit a few throats when the occasion called for it, and few sensations are as stimulating as blood dripping down her pelt, but surely a little decorum would go a long way toward establishing their prestige. She nonetheless thrives on discord, and finds satisfaction in pitting enemies against one another, if only to thin the ranks before leaping into the fray herself. Possessing a rather inflated sense of self-worth, nothing would please the Purewalker more than to be worshipped as a rarity. Given that she is also an entity of untold malice, she views herself as a worthy candidate for deification in such an unfeeling world. In fact, she might even keep a reverent creature alive for a time to amuse herself and cater to her whims. Unfortunately for many of her adherents, they would likely suffer a fatal ending when she grew bored of them. Brief History: Having held some small rank within the Underworld, Jillian arrived in the Kawani Lands and discovered that solitude fit her a great deal better. Not one to share space or prey, she put some distance between herself and her predatory brethren, locating ideal hunting grounds before settling into the nearby woods. When she occasionally tired of her own thoughts, she was more than capable of scaring up company, though she discovered that intelligent conversation was perhaps too much to expect. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Newly introduced into the lands after emerging from the Underworld, Jillian is content to explore her surroundings and feed on any unsuspecting or stupid prey animals. If she can whip any nearby herds into a frenzy by her mere presence, or otherwise incite panic and conflict, that’s a bit of an added bonus.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? Oyohusa allowed darkness to consume him. Once exiled from his village, he let it get carried away and unleashed the beast within, with help from corpse powder. He killed a coyote, wore it's pelt and was then able to transform at will. Once returning to the village, the happiness there willed him to open a portal and corrupt a burial ground with the use of his shamanistic abilities to allow purewalkers to enter the land. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? There are no life bonds to anything with a purewalker. They are cold-blooded killers, take no mates and form no relationship to any foals born. They cannot feel love and as such, any mating partner would be only that. A brief mating of natural instincts in all animals. Though, the other often does not escape without serious injury in most cases. The Rest of It Name: Yanaha Temper: Bloodthirsty Personality: Yanaha is a hunter, pure and simple. She follows the instinct of most cats, even if she doesn't kill for food she kills for fun. She very much enjoys playing with her prey before she delivers the final blow. Brief History: Yanaha was released into the Kawani lands when she was barely old enough to be on her own. She cared not for how she got there or why, but discovered the land was teeming with life. She loved that, life that was out there and easy to target and catch. She has since cleared out a home within the mountains, managing to kill or chase off all but travelers in the process. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? She has recently come down from the mountains due to a lack of food and is on the hunt once more, this time as a starving beast than one who simply wants to kill out of entertainment. She has given chase to anything that moved or crossed her path be it two-leg or four. She has pinned her current targets on a family that lives deep within a forest grove and intends that none of them escape alive.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? Purewalkers come from the heart of the underworld and are brought up through the gateway created by Oyohusa in the old oak tree at the center of the cursed graveyard that lies in the Eastern swamp. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? No purewalkers are not able to form any close bonds or fall in love. They are pure evil and solitary creatures. When they do interact with others it is not what would be expected for a normal relationship. It is more chaotic and unhealthy. Evilness is not meant for such intimacy. The Rest of It Name:Pogonip (means icy fog) Temper: Aloof Personality: Pogonip prefers spending time alone. She is self centered and hates all others. She has no higher ambition than to just live her life alone and hunting. She has no desire to meddle in the affairs of others. It is through her aloof and mysterious presence that she strikes fear into others. She is arrogant and thinks that she is better than everyone including other purewalkers. She is patient and will spend a long time stalking a prey, watching them from a distance. Though her patience often will snap if she has to socialize in anyway with another. She has an icy demeanor. Once she has a target she locks on until she brings it down. She is not manipulative but prefers to get straight to the point and is not one to play games. She also relies heavily on her instincts and lets those guide her decisions. She never thinks twice because she feels that the first instinct is the correct one. Brief History: Pogonip's heart grew restless and a daunting need seemed to call her through the gateway into the world above. Once she found herself in this new world she felt free and able to do what she pleased and her icy heart was overjoyed. Her first instinct was to leave the graveyard and the swamp around her. The swamp had a chill that welcomed her but she felt it still too warm for her liking even at the beginning of November. So her journey starts with her venturing out to find the coldest place is this new land. Her heart filled with an unquenchable thirst for the hunt. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Pogonip is on a quest to find ice and snow. Her instincts are leading her north into the tall and snowy Eastern mountains. Though she is small, aloof, and moves like a shadow she will leave a wake a destruction in her path that will not go unnoticed by those herds or other skinwalkers in the area. She may have to deal with more than she bargained for before she even finds her new home in the mountains.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? From the cursed oak tree in the cursed graveyard... it is a gateway from the underworld that was opened by Oyohusa. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? Most definitely not - Purewalkers are solitary creatures and even an alliance between two of them could not last long before they start getting at eachother's throats. Mating is a violent activity and is never done for an emotional or positive reason (and life-mating is impossible). They are just evil to their core- that sort of being would not be capable of creating positive relationships. The Rest of It Name: Gwyneira Temper: Disdainful Personality: This is her song... The basis of her personality is that she is disgusted about almost being a Soq. Yes, you got that right, she doesn't believe that she truly is one. In her mind, her bobcat form is her true form, and she can just sometimes turn into a Soq for faster travel. She is particularly disgusted by the Soq who call themselves "knights"- who are they to deem themselves better than the rest? Angeni are even worse... who gave them the right to judge her. They were just Soq. She was something else- she was almost a goddess. With a stroke of her claws, she could decide the fate of anyone who crossed her path... who are they to tell her she's evil and needs to be slain? They are simply prey... claw fodder. It was like a deer turning around and trying to kill a wolf, an absolutely ridiculous notion. Oh no, Gwyn would make sure they all understood - she is NOT a Soq, she is their divine judge. They have no control over their lives... Brief History: Gwyn used to simply be a predator, someone who killed to eat and aside from that enjoyed living alone in her icy, mountainous caves. Well, of course, if someone bothered her or trespassed, they had to be dealt with as well... but she found needless slaughter to be a waste of her vast talents. That is, until that hoity-toity Angeni came along. It was some young stallion who thought it was his duty to rid the world of the evil that was purewalkers... well, that was his first mistake. His second was actually telling Gwyn that. She stared at him incredulously- this feathery, pin-cushion of a Soq was telling her that she must be slain? Not the other way around? The proceeding battle was fierce and ended with the Angeni fleeing, and Gwyn filled with a new found need. Obviously these simpletons were getting ahead of themselves, thinking it was upon them to slay a goddess. Perhaps it was time for her to venture into the lands below her mountain home and remind her that respect and fear come hand in hand... and if they had neither for her... they would be eliminated. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Looking for the Angeni who started it all... as well as any other alleged "skinwalker slayers". The sheep are trying to fight a loosing war against a wolf, and she felt it was her duty to remind all Soq of that.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? Purewalkers are born in the underworld, skins of an animals already bonded to their backs, the ability to transform already fully enabled. They are then expelled from the underworld via the portal demon tree in the Indian Burial Ground. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? Purewalkers, as all Skinwalkers, are unable to form bonds with others, except for those loose and tentative connections that make make up a bloodthirsty alliance. They have a dark and evil nature which prevents them for falling in love . This, of course, does not mean that Purewalkers are unable to mate. However, it is a bloody and violent thing that they do, striving only for the animal drive to procreate, with no kindness or consideration for their partner. Any of even the most brief alliances, either to mate or to hunt, would be a fearsome thing to witness (should you live long enough to tell the tale). The Rest of It Name: Malferren (original name meaning "evil wanderer") Temper: Disturbed Personality: Malferren is a Purewalker of strong personality, slippery, immovable, and cruel; unfortunately, the bulk of her personality is also saturated in raving madness. While all Purewalkers are born with an evilness to their spirit that is indisputable, Malferren arrived in the Soquili lands with a certain... wrongness. It is uncertain whether this wrongness originated at her birth, or during the transition of being thrust through the portal from the underworld. She is imbued with a sort of sickness that rises over the course of each month. With its rise, she is hit with waves of hallucinations which she believes to be second sight allowing her to see and speak with dead Purewalkers. At the crest of each month, when her body is raging with sickness, she is completely mad and goes on bloody rampages at the urging of her dead companions, who drive her to kill relentlessly until the crest of the month falls and the sickness begins to recede. She believes that during these times of hallucination and murder that she is doing the bidding of the dead Purewalkers, whom long to continue hunting but no longer have the bodies to do so. Malferren feels empowered by her mad visions; arrogantly proud that she has been chosen to do their bidding. Brief History: When Malferren arrived from the underworld, she was not alone. She was accompanied by another whom she simply calls "Kurr." Kurr is as real to her as any rock, tree, or bloody hunting sport. Yet Kurr does not exist. Not in any sense that one other than Malferren can perceive. He is her evil ghost companion, a figment from her twisted and broken mind. While "ghosts" come to her at the rise of every month, Kurr is ever present at her side, whispering in her ear. Malferren can often be seen talking to herself and seeming to bite and fight with the thin air. For as long as Malferren has roamed the Soquili plane, she has been engaged in her cycles of madness, accompanied by Kurr. At the beginning of each month when Malferren is at her most relatively sane, Kurr drives her on, picking and choosing victims for her to hunt and whispering their fate to her relentless until she kills again. Often, she prefers to hunt in her Bobcat form, as it allows her a sleekness, speed, and silence that her larger form cannot. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? The rise of another month has just begun to fall. The ghostly Purewalkers are once again beginning to fade from Malferren's vision. However, Kurr has was apparently given a task by one of the dead Purwalkers to hunt and kill down a former enemy. He has been whispering to Malferren nonstop about the need to fulfill this mission. The details of who this former enemy is are vague (after all, both the Kurr and the spirits of the Purewalkers are merely figments of her fever and madness driven imagination). As a result, she has several times become convinced that different Soquili were the enemy she was seeking and has killed them. Then she will be struck my doubt and suspicion (driven on by Kurr, of course) when she sees another Soquili whom she thinks is the true enemy. So she kills, and kills again... hunting.. always hunting...

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? The purewalkers are said to emerge from a portal in a tree located in a desecrated burial ground. The portal was created by Oyohusa and is linked to the underworld. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? No, they can not. Purewalkers are pure evil and can not feel things like such as love. They may be times where groups of walkers join together to achieve a goal, but such things are rare and do not last. The Rest of It Name: Celeste Temper: Barbarous Personality: For Celste, the world is a toy box and everything in it are her play things. She does not simply hunt for sustenance, she does it because it is fun. The smell of her prey's fear, the challenge of the pursuit, and that moment of triumph when she ends the life of her prey; those are what she lives for. Like a spoiled child, she goes for what she wants when she wants it. A storm moving in? That won't stop her from finding new prey, it'll only encourage her. It would add an element of challenge that would make her victory even sweeter. When it comes to picking a target, she prefers to go for those that seem strong out of hopes the game will last that much longer. Loss is not something Celeste takes well. To lose is simply unforgivable; it is weakness. Hours, days, weeks, she will keep on the trail of her prey. If that trail is lost, she will spend every waking moment trying to pick it back up. Should she ever come to admit defeat, she flies into fits of rage, destroying everything around her. Once that rage passes, she punishes herself for her disgusting weakness, and then the hunt begins anew. Brief History: Confusion was Celeste first felt when she emerged from the portal and into this world, it was quickly followed by wariness. She did not know what to expect when she came to this new world, only knew that it had been time for a change in her life. She had long since grown bored in the underworld and desired a new setting. Her first few days had been spent wandering and adjusting to this new place, but oh how she had yearned to play. The desire had pulled at her each time she came across a lone deer or a family of two leggers. But to give in before she knew if the creatures were as weak as they seemed would be foolhardy. So she stalked, and planned. Like testing the water, she began to slowly make her move. It began with swiping younglings in the dead of night, and then escalated until she felt sure enough to take adults. It did not take long to realize that all of these creatures were no threat to her, they were just weak sacks of flesh for her do with as she pleased. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Stalking for new prey. She can only go for so long without playing, and there are so many toys out there for her to pick from. She's also eager to pit herself against another purewalker, and maybe see if she can make them into a toy as well.

Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change?: At first yes, but later down the line that feeling gets replaced with evil. 2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker?: They would probably not even remember them. If they did it wouldn't matter to them much because they would be thinking of a way to properly kill them in the fastest manner possible. The Rest of It Name: Yiska Temper: Cruel Personality: Yiska is a calculated predator. He calculates every possible odd before actually going in and taking the kill for himself. He is a loner by nature and keeps a very good watch over his territory. He doesn't really socialize very much and isn't much of a talker. Then again not many have time to actually talk to him. Brief History: Yiska had a family once. A family who was there for him and so so caring over his well being. That was until he was cursed and killed them all. He didn't feel anything while he slaughtered them all either, but the slightest bit of fulfillment as he ended their lives. How Were They Cursed? Well...he didn't want to be cursed at first. He loved everyone and everything, but one night he was attacked. He nearly died by the skinwalker who bit into his flesh and made him feel so inferior it made him sick. As he laid there injured, he didn't want to die and honestly wished there was some way he could exact revenge on the skinwalker that did this to him. He felt dark and cold. His mind drifting to thoughts that weren't...pleasant in nature. He didn't remember what happened that night other then in the morning, he was still banged up pretty badly, but he felt different. He wasn't the same and he knew it. He felt angry, dark and cold. His mind was filled with thoughts of anger and evil things...he spent days tracking that skinwalker. When he finally found him, he managed to reign supreme. But he was compelled by something stronger. He killed a bobcat, not knowing why, and wore it's pelt on his back. As the days went by, he felt worse and worse until finally...he forgot what his old self was like. This new Yiska took over and it wasn't someone anyone would want to go near. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Mostly prowling around and keeping his territory in tact. He will be defending it fiercely, but when he isn't doing that he would be traveling. Seeing what he is up against in these lands and finding out where important necessities are such as food supply, water, and so on. Other then that, he is on a mission to make others feel pain.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? It was a particularly cold night that chilled Kawani, as the tainted Oyohusa slithered his way across the land to the graveyard. A favor for a favor was the bargain they struck; In return for the precious secrets of leeching energy from the recently deceased and creating corpse powder from their husks, he was to use his Shaman abilities to open up a portal to the underworld and unleash the dreaded Purewalkers. Oh, but Oyohusa had aimed to show just how grateful he was for his gift. He took his act farther than asked; desecrating sacred land, disturbing remains long rested in the soil… He leeched their energies and created a permanent portal from the underworld, sealing it in an ancient tree at the center of the graveyard. The land twisted into a realm of nightmares, and the purewalkers once again plagued the lands of Kawani.2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? A creature created in the very bowels of the underworld cannot show love for another, but what is love? The giddiness they feel at the sight of a young foal that strays too far from home. Chills rush through their body as they prowl the shadows, feeling the thrill of the hunt. They get butterflies in their stomachs at the sight of pupils shrinking to mere pinholes and fumbling feet attempting to flee. Finally, the warmth and satisfaction of fresh blood on their pelts…
Sometimes the love of what you do is just that much more satisfying than the emotions one could have for another. The Rest of It Name: LAMIA (Greek myth name of an evil spirit who abducts and devours children)Temper: AlluringPersonality: Lamia is calm and seductive, but starves for young blood. She uses her playful Bobcat form to lure young soquili into the forest where she drains them of their blood and later feasts on their flesh, leaving their pelts at the scene as her calling card.Brief History: Lamia starved to leave the hell she was trapped in; To walk among the living, and once again feast on their flesh. When she was told of Oyohusa actions, she practically floated out of the portal.
Immediately she went to work lurking the area around the graveyard, getting a feel for her surrounding, and seeking out the naïve mothers. One by one she lured young foals from their nests in the dead of night as her bobcat form and devoured them, leaving their pelts stretched out on rocks in the forest near the scene. She was back, and has sworn to wreak havoc on the people of Kawani so that they may never forget her presence again. Her taint will smear such dark stains on the lands that no amount of prayer can cleanse it.What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? (Does not have to be long. Mostly curious about what they might be up to these days.) There is an ole wives’ tale of a beautiful mare that wades through the forest on the nights when the moon is full and high in the sky. Her haunting lullaby whispers throughout the land as a warning to new mothers of her presence. Once your children are wrapped in her snare, only their pelts remain.
It was once a tale, but there have been several foals to disappear. No pelts have been found yet, but it makes you wonder if such a creature could really be walking the very forests you call home.
Since her release, Lamia has stuck to the shadows of the forest, feeling out the lands of Kawani, observing other soquili, potential threats, and fruitful nesting grounds. She has been formulating a plan to devastate as many creatures in Kawani as possible; potentially even forming alliances in the name of Oyohusa, The savior who released her from her prison, to accomplish her goals of mass devastation.

Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards? Shaman Oyohusa grinds up the bones of the dead and uses his dark powers to create corpse powder. Once a Soquili has been cursed with corpse powder there is no way to undo or redeem the Soq. 2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off? Once a Soq has been afflicted by corpse powder it is compelled to kill an animal and wear its pelt. The pelt then melds with the flesh of the Soquili, becoming part of it that is not able to be removed. The Rest of It Name: Kanvulis Temper: Volatile Personality: Kanvulis wanders, silent and brooding for miles before turning unexpectedly violent. A brief bout of terror inducing violence often results in more death than she could ever justify eating. Once she has sated the part of her that erupts without warning in murderous delight, she returns to a quiet and still mare who slowly meanders through the low hills of her home. Brief History: Kanvulis was never sane. She had made her home in a cave at the edge of the swamp. The sulfur that was trapped in that low stone enclosure warped her mind. How Were They Cursed? Kanvulis didn't see the shaman, but he saw her. Her mind refused to allow the broken peace that came with the calling of a bird and she snapped, stalking it and trampling it into paste. The peace she found in the silence of the swamp at the death of the bird was short lived as a dusting of corpse powder covered her. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Kanvulis still lives in her cave, coming out to see the world or hunt. She enjoys spreading fire when she can find it, watching the flames lick at the world around her. And she always seeks silence, killing or destroying anything that disturbs the peace she finds in the stillness of quiet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change? Regret? Remorse? What are these silly things? The power that comes from the feel of blood pulsing from wounds personally inflicted overcomes such nonsense. 2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker? "Well, hello. Would you like to come over for dinner?" . . . Without any pause for response, the throat is cut and the flesh devoured. The Rest of It Name: Delano Temper: Predatory Personality: Delano loves the rush of the hunt. He wants nothing more than to feel the hot touch of blood on his face and the sweet taste of flesh in his mouth. Brief History: Delano lives in a swamp. The smell of rotting vegetation and the buzzing of stinging insects a constant in his world. Before he became he used to hunt out the fermented fruit that lay low on the bushes. The world was not worth experiencing sober. How Were They Cursed? Delano was always a mean drunk. He, briefly, had a familiar friend who stayed with him. Shaman Oyohusa was passing through the swamp at a time when Delano had found a bush full of mostly rotten and highly intoxicating fruit. The fox that had befriended him would not wake up from the enraged beating Delano was giving it. Delano would not regret the death after the corpse powder the shaman spread over him took hold. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? The rage that Delano only ever let out when he was drunk has taken over his cursed mind. The rush of power that comes from the hunt, the kill, is a more heady drought than ever a tainted fruit could be. Delano stalks the swamps, killing any unwary enough to cross his path.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? — When Oyohusa, the corrupted, malicious Shaman bargained with a dark spirit, Oyohusa promised to open a pathway for the "original skinwalkers" to come wreak havoc on the world. Purewalkers are the manifestations of the evil that resides in the underworld, now out in the world, ravenous and dangerous.2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? — It is not a question of if a Purewalker is allowed to establish close relationships with others; the fact of the matter is they are incapable of doing so. Purewalkers knows no feelings aside from the insatiable desire to kill, and others will never be able close enough to one to form any sort of constructive relationship with one.The Rest of It Name: EiraTemper: RuthlessPersonality: Cold and contemptuous, Eira seems nearly devoid of all emotion. On the surface, she is secretive and distant, though it just barely conceals the malice circulating beneath. Her species aside, she is very unapproachable, preferring to glare rather than speak.
She finds no use in interacting with others, for most are no more than prey. She is a quieter Skinwalker, never sparing words for others. She never gives warning before an attack, killing quietly and never leaving a mess behind. Others would say her victims just vanished without a trace.
She cleans up her messes, for she does not want others to know there is a Purewalker in their midsts, at least, she does not want her presence to be known. Others can do whatever they please, as long as her discretion is not betrayed. She simply detests attention, and would rather carry on quietly, without trouble. Brief History: Upon coming into the world, Eira sprang into action. Like any young, naïve killer, she hunted indiscriminately, leaving a trail of corpses in her wake. She quickly learned that others were smarter than they look, and were particularly wary of her kind. They began running, and, in turn, she hunted them down. However, this did not appeal to her. It is not that she preferred an easy kill; she simply did not like the attention fixed on her. She did not like her prey's hyper vigilance; she found it annoying. They were so weak. Even the oldest and strongest regressed to foal-like states in the face of fear. It was pathetic, and she found little satisfaction in killing such feeble creatures, merely killing them to rid the world of them.
Eira then refined her technique, choosing to stalk in silence. She preferred unwary prey. She found satisfaction in the fact that her victims were incapable of sensing her presence, that she was able to get so close and personal and they did not know what happened. Eira then cleaned up her kills, eating everything from skin to bone and leaving no evidence. No one would ever know what happened to her victims, as long as she remained a ghost. There would be whispers of evil spirits lurking in the forests, rumors of angry 'Deities exacting their wrath on the mortals, but no one would know it was she taking the lives of all.
She liked it that way. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Eira lurks in the shadows, quietly waiting for her next victim. She has no permanent residence, no territory, just saunters from place to place, always following the prey.
She has yet to find any other purpose in her life, aside that which she came from the Underwold with: kill.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? It was a dark and stormy night when the human did the deed, the only useful thing their race had ever done. The very pits of Hell roiled and tumbled, the air warping and twisting into what would become the inter-dimensional portal. When the whisper first spread through the inhabitants, they leered. A way to the world above? What utter garbage. But no, there it was, a shining portal to the great green. The first few were the bravest, the ones chosen to explore. They emerged, creatures with darkness in their hearts and bloodlust upon their tongues. Some took the form of bats, others of birds, and yet more of canines. But all had the same wild look in their eyes and pelts bound to their flesh. They would stalk the world above, climbing through the rift to emerge upon the unholy burial site. They would dominate the creatures that so peacefully lived. They were the Purewalkers. 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? The heart of a Purewalker is corrupt and full of evil. Woven into their flesh is the ability to hate, to destroy, to ruin, but the emotion of love is not intrinsic to them. There is simply no space for such an emotion, their souls are blackened. Any notions of 'love' or 'kindness' or 'pity' will wither and die like curling leaves crackling in fire before they can take any root. This confines the Purewalker to a life of solitude. Any actions they do, they do for their own selfish purposes. Even if a behaviour seems altruistic, they will have their own malevolent agenda behind it. There can be no bonds, only the permanent struggle for power. And the Purewalker will always win. The Rest of It Name: Nightshade ('Shade' for short) (Named for a poisonous plant) Temper: Disdainful Personality: Shade is as cold and distant as you would expect any Purewalker to be, and then some. Her nature is a solitary one, and where others may band together temporarily to meet their own means, she places isolation first. Slightly proud, she looks down upon others of her kind. They toy with their prey, they form alliances, they breed freely. They are traitors to everything 'Walker. But she knows the true way, the way of the huntress: Clean kills; hunt alone; kill intruders; slaughter what you need to eat; do not needlessly waste your energy on chasing down small fry. Preferring to avoid large open brawls, she is the silent watcher who waits at the sidelines for battles to be over. When her opponents have weakened themselves on each other, she will dart in for the death blow. Quick and concise are her movements. Everything is carefully measured. Brief History: The decision to cross through the portal was not a particularly difficult one for Shade. Very little holds personal connections to her. Not territory, not prey, not those she lives near. It was easy to let it all go, to leave Hell behind. She went not with any particular purpose, but merely at a whim. If you must push for her motivation, it was probably boredom. Out there was a new world, one where she could make her own way away from all these other 'Walkers. She could break off and hunt amongst the snowy mountain tops. And all would fear her, for she was the true huntress of the night. But there in Hell? Nothing but more lava, more rocks, and far too many companions. At least through the portal no one would bother her anymore. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? For now she will be exploring, getting a feel for the land. She'll search out the coldest location she can, preferring craggy peaks and snow and cliffs to the forest and plains below, and will probably set up some sort of territory around there. There may be potential conflicts with established herds in this area, which could be cause for some fun plottage. Eventually she will want to propagate her genes, and will have to overcome her solitary nature in order to find a partner that is strong enough to sire her children without being completely physically repulsive to her. Of course, she'd have no part in their upbringing. They would be abandoned in the snow, left to learn the solitary way on their own. It would make them stronger. Mostly she will keep to herself, avoiding conflict. That is not to say she is weak. There will no doubt be confrontations in her future. She is a sly one, after all.

Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards? Skinwalkers cannot be redeemed or 'saved'; and were created as a curse, utilizing Corpse powder, from Oyohusa. 2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off? Skinwalker pelts are from the first animal they kill; once worn they can never be removed, becoming a part of the victim permanently. The Rest of It Name: Methuselah Temper: Vindictive Personality: Methuselah is... Very angry with everyone around. She's driven by hatred and resentment, a once sweet, tender female broken and twisted by the corpse powder cast on her petite form, a creature bent to the ways of darkness. As far as Skinwalkers go, she prefers to use sweet words to seduce prey, and then bend them to do what she wants, so as to not muddy her own paws or hooves. Once taken as one of hers, Methu will do all she can to bend and break her victim to her will. You can be anyone... Her choice in slaves is simply determined by her mood. As far as she cares, uncursed Soquili are worthless playthings, and she will own them or they will die.Brief History:Methu was a sweet lady once... Gentle, kind, and soft spoken she was the quietest mare who enjoyed going for walks to see the lands near her herd. However, no good things last-- and Methu was a bit further from home than usual when a bobcat slaughtered her herd... How Were They Cursed? When Methu returned to her herd, she found nothing more than dead bodies and a snarling cat. And it gave chase, the female running, screaming. And as she ran, somehow, her screams were heard; not by Kawani hunters, but the form of Oyohusa.... The sprinkle of Corpse Powder turned her around enough, the female turning, slaughtering the bobcat in revenge for her herd before taking it's skin.... And the Curse took her soul. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Methu is still adapting to her new form, mostly shuffling about the Kawani stealing kills and attacking anyone dumb enough to go near. Those who survive become slaves.

Sign Me Up For That Bobcat, Baby! The Questions 1. Where do Purewalkers come from? Purewalkers come from the underworld, they are created there as is with paws and pelts upon their back with pure evil in their hearts and the ability to shift into an animal that coincides with their pelt. They enter with world via a portal, this portal being a tree that was changed by the shaman Oyohusa, in the Indian burial grounds within the Kawani lands 2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? They cannot form close bonds or fall in love, it is not in their nature to do so. They can form temporary bonds for hunts and breeding purposes however these are filled with violence as they are creatures of pure evil. The fact that they are creatures of of pure evil means they cannot for bonds of love or even friendship/partnership. The Rest of It Name: Tilantri Ylama Temper: Devastating Personality: Tilantri wants nothing more than to rip every living creature to shreds. It is the only thing she thinks about. Though drawn on only by her lust for blood and spreading evil in this world Tilantri can be quite analytic, especially when looking to wipe out an entire herd or family in one attack. She does not want to miss out on any opportunity to kill and if a victim were to escape her gasp it would drive her insane until that beast was torn limb from limb. She is a planner for the most part, but she will resort to unorganized killing if and when it presents itself to her. Opportunistic kills are not to be overlooked after all, for that means she is failing at her goals in life. Brief History: Her entry to this world was no different than those before her. The portal allowed her to travel from the underworld into the Kawani lands. This new land disgusted her immediately. It was not the bowels of the earth that she had come from, with it's darkness and hatred seeping into everything and everyone. This new land was a curse upon her and she would need to remove that curse using her claws and teeth. To do so she would need a plan, but that was what she did best. Strategy was like a drug to her, driving her blood lust on and giving her the means to kill as often and efficiently as possible. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Tilantri is currently making her way through the Kawani lands in an almost grid like pattern, killing off anything in a certain area before moving on to the next. But she knows that eventually her prey will catch on to this tactic, even though she is certain that are far less intelligent than herself, so every now and then she will shift to an area much further away from where she had been currently working and springing herself on the unsuspecting Soquili. Her memory is good in which areas she had already hit, however she knows that with time others may move into where she had already cleansed and thus will set up routine visits to destroy anyone foolish enough to disrupt her work. She is also trying to figure out how to make these lands more appealing to her senses, in other words she wants the Kawani land to be transformed so that they more resemble the Underworld. Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards? Cursed Skinwalkers come from the cursed graveyard, corpse dust placed on them corrupts them, forcing them to kill and take the skin of their victim transforming them into a skinwalker. No there is no way to stop or reverse the curse one it has been placed upon the Soquili, it is permanent. 2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off? They get their pelt from the first animal they kill after being cursed. No they cannot be taken off ever since tendrils link the pelt to the Soquili permanently. The Rest of It Name: Usiku Dhoruba (means Night Storm) Temper: Destructive Personality: Once a competitive type Usiku's cursed form now allows her to seek out new challenges. She wants to be the strongest, fastest, smartest, most well fed Skinwalker in all the lands (not to mention outdoing the other breeds as well). Because she has no desire to be around others, unless it is to hunt them, Usiku often talks to herself fueling her need for blood and revenge with her own words. When that fails, and it occasionally does, she will make up stories about those she is hunting, crafting wrongs they had done to her in the past and giving her a reason to kill, not that she truly needs a reason when her blood lust is rolling. On rare occasions she enters a rather sickening playful mood. It is during these times she truly toys with her prey, allowing a hunt to slowly stretch out for hours, and on very rare times days. It is the ultimate game of cat and mouse to her, one which she feels she has mastered yet can always improve upon so that she can be the best continually. Brief History: Usiku and her brother had always had a small amount of sibling rivalry when they were foals. Not unlike many other young Soquili, who wanted to be better than their siblings. As they grew her brother matured and no longer tried to show he was superior in everything they did, this only aggravated Usiku for she continued to look for an outlet to prove herself worthy to her family and everyone around. She tried to go out of her way to provoke her brother into various competitions, be it feats or strength, cunning or luck. He didn't bite and so frustrated and looking for something to truly stick it to him Usiku wandered off into the lands, looking for something to do. It was some time later that she stumbled upon the cursed graveyard, having heard rumors about it she wanted to see what this was about. Investigating the graveyard Usiku had not originally intended to become cursed, instead she merely wanted to brag to her brother that she had visited the curse location and walked away unscathed, something that he was clearly too scared to do. But the allure of this dark power gripped Usiku and she found herself intent on receiving this wondrous gift. Now covered with the pelt of a bobcat and pure hatred in her heart Usiku walks the land, repeatedly telling herself the last thing she remembers before the curse took her over full, 'You will find your brother and show him pain'. How Were They Cursed? Usiku was cursed after wandering into the cursed graveyard, the allure of the power and strength of skinwalkers settled into her mind. She sought out the tree then, begging for the evil spirit to grant her corpse powder and transform her into these worthy creatures. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Currently her main goal is to find her brother and show him her new superior form and to inflict as much pain and suffering on his life. That is if she can continue to chant this vendetta to herself, for it is the only thing she managed to retain after her full transformation. She does not yet know that her brother too has been affected by the curse, though how this happened she obviously does not know nor will she likely care if/when she sees him. Should she forget this last shred of thought, or once she completes this task, then she will venture out on a new and greater purpose. This new task may vary depending on how successful is she at dealing with her brother and where she finds herself at the time. Usiku may claim a territory to live and hunt, though she would likely still wander from time to time to satisfy her lust for blood and new things to eat. One thing she will eventually do is make a move on the Kawani village itself, wishing to purge the land from the two-leggers that share a bond with Soquili and also to share in the revenge that Oyohusa once placed on his people. After that she has a world of possibilities ahead of her. Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change? Perhaps at the beginning when the curse is still settling into their body and mind they may feel regret over the change, however once the curse fully affects them these thoughts disappear. 2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker? They would likely not remember that they were family as all previous memories and bonds are erased in the cursing process, though some will remember their families but in a twisted way. However, whether they remember they or not the skinwalker will look at them as prey and move to kill them. The Rest of It Name: Morvain Temper: Vindictive Personality: Morvain is a twisted version of his former self, whatever his former self used to be since he honestly can't remember. His mind is fractured into into a hundred pieces each of which seems to be fighting with the others. This drives him to violent bouts of yelling and slaughter, not that he doesn't normally fill his days and nights with hunts for flesh and blood. Tormented by his shattered thoughts Morvain seeks, during his more lucid moments, for someone to help him piece his mind back together, to rebuilt what he has lost. Yet these moments are short lived and any unfortunate Soquili that is near or trying to help him at the time will meet his true self soon enough and see their end in the form of his claws and teeth. Brief History: Morvain had led a relatively quiet and normal life. He had been raised in a small but loving family. When he was older he traveled a bit, seeing the lands he had heard of in his grandfathers stories and it was on one of these journeys that he met the mare of his dreams. They fell in love and started a family and could not have been happier. Months went by and his family grew, bringing a second batch of foals for them to love. Things couldn't have been better. But then when his mate was out taking their newest foals for a walk to explore their home they fell to a vicious Kalona attack. Morvain was ravaged by guilt and anger. He should have been there to protect them. But more so, he wanted revenge. He wanted to hunt down those Kalona and end their lives in as violent of way as possible. He knew his mate would not want him to do such a thing, but the pain from losing them had turned her heart black. Not being the fighting type Morvain went on a quest to find a way to become stronger, to become a worse enemy to the Kalona than they were to him. Hearing the legend of the Skinwalkers and how they were creatures of evil, Morvain made the ultimate decision and sacrificed his sanity for the power of a skinwalker, now he could have his revenge, not only on those Kalona but on everyone. How Were They Cursed? Morvain sought out the Indian Burial ground after being told the story of Skinwalkers, he was looking for a way to exact revenge on some Kalona who had killed his family. He thought little of any consequences to his actions, he just wanted to avenge his mate and children. The grave yard was easy enough to find even if others were not always willing to talk of such an evil place. Once there he set about gaining the corpse dust that would transform him into a being of evil so that he could have his revenge. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? While he doesn't remember the purpose he had before obtaining the curse Morvain knows one thing, he wants to kill. He doesn't care who or what, so long as he can sink his teeth into them. Whether he will ever remember the reason he got the curse in the first place is unknown at this time. Being driven mad by his curse Morvain moves about randomly in the world, he has no home and no desires but to feed his need for blood.

Sign Me Up For One of Two Evils! The Questions 1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards? Contact with cursed powder is what seals the fate of a Soquili as a Cursed Skinwalker. Once Cursed, there is no way to ‘save’ them, and they don’t even want to be ‘saved’ as, no matter who they used to be, the evil consumes them. Oyohusa is responsible for bringing this curse into existence. 2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off? Upon receiving their curse, they hunt and kill an animal nearby, skinning it and placing the pelt upon themselves. Once it is there, it becomes a part of them and cannot be removed. The animal they kill is the form that they take when they shapeshift. The Rest of It Name: Caoraigh (sheep or lamb in Irish) Temper: Patient Personality:Oh woe, woe is her. She is but a sweet little lamb trapped in wolf’s clothing, will no one accept her? No one give her a chance? She has a terrible curse, and cannot help but look this way. But do not others have strange appearances? Are fangs so terrible? Why should she not have a chance too? How can you be so mean and judgmental and boo hoo hoo… Cao loves to work her way into the hearts and lives of others, building up to rip it down in the worst possible way. Destroying someone from the outside? That’s easy. Destroying someone from the inside out… now that’s art. Killing someone is easy, making them wish they were dead takes talent, and, oh, it is such a beautiful thing. It’s a game that no one wants to play with her, but most everyone does. She is an actress, clever and subtle and so very, very patient. She loves the slow build up, dragging the game and performance on and on until the perfect finale. If it takes months, or more, to build up a trust, to work her claws in just right, the wait is worth it, well worth it in that sweet, sweet moment when she can bring someone’s whole world crashing down. Waiting can be hard, yes, and frustrating, but she knows that complete control is the only way to really do some lasting damage. Physical scars heal much more quickly than the other kinds after all. And it is such fun to watch as they struggle to collect the pieces of their miserable, pathetic little lives once she has finished with them! Sometimes she lets them pull themselves together before she finishes them off for good, the look in their eyes when she shatters them twice is just so wonderful… Brief History: There really is very little to tell. She was a sweet little thing, grew up happy as a clam. Looked after by loving parents, part of a happy herd in a happy home, there really wasn’t anything she had to complain about. The most notable thing in her life was how kind and compassionate she was. Cao would have made a great psychologist, were such things Soquili, as she always knew just what to do or say to help someone. She was sweet, well known and well liked, with many friends and plenty who knew they could trust her. Now, though… Family and friends are all but totally forgotten now, though she has a few fun games in mind for if she should happen upon them again. How Were They Cursed? She was tricked, simply enough. Taken in just as she now takes others in, too willing to trust, too eager to help. Once upon a time she really was the innocent little lamb her parents named her for, now it is just a role that she plays. Corrupting the innocent, or breaking the innocent, such things are most fun of all. What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? (Does not have to be long. Mostly curious about what they might be up to these days.) Making a few more lost, hopeless souls. What else does a proper Walker do in this pretty, petty little land? There is plenty room to play some games here, and so many, many playmates for her. She’s breaking hearts, and stealing baskets, and betraying those who finally learned to trust again. Both her forms are at her disposal here, she has twice as many roles to play than the average trickster after all. Killing is so pathetically easy after all, playing games is far more challenging. And she does love a challenge. Unfortunately, she also has to keep moving. It’s no good to stay in one place, someone might recognize her if she did that and it could really spoil her fun. So Cao has no one territory, instead, she wanders all over the place collecting and disposing of new victims.
