Alistriona fell deep into the dream world where her consciousness pulled her after she fell unconscious due to her injuries. She saw many things that had happened to her in the past but it was contorted, like the viewpoint was from someone other than her. She was so tired, so confused, so lost. She couldn't find Aarvard. Then she remembered.

Son, Who resides in the body of...^*^The Guardsmen^*^ --------------------- Son waited and waited for the woman to awaken, but after several hours he became impatient. He walked around the complex for a few minutes until he found a room with food and rudimentary cooking supplies. He imagined this was what they must use as a kitchen, and as he rummaged through their food he grunted. They certainly didn't have a lot here, mostly just venison. He took what vegetables and fruit he could find and ground them with a mortar and pestle that he found among their cooking instruments.
He had taken care of himself most of the time when he was a boy, and when he had taken ill he had had to learn to nurse himself back to health. He had learned to make soup and basic medicine from an old book his mother kept around. He found some cooked chicken and half smiled, glad for his luck. He squeezed the juices from the chicken into the grinded veggies and mixed in some water, slowly making a soup from the mush. Once it was at the consistency he was happy with he warmed it with a torch that rested on the wall. As he stood wearing plush gloves warming a bowl of soup on a wall torch he silently wondered what it was that possessed him to go to all this trouble. "A life for a life." He justified to himself, ensuring himself that was the only reason.
He returned to the room after a few minutes with the soup. He set it down and changed out the clothe on the woman's head, placing a freshly dampened rag on her forehead. She had a fever, he guessed it likely had to do with the strain of transformation combined with her being knocked so hard in the head. Either way though he was pretty sure that until her condition started to improve she would remain unconscious. Luckily he was familiar with how to treat fevers. After a few moments of waiting for the soup to cool Son sat beside the woman and placed her head in his lap. Slowly he fed her the soup, taking care to make sure she got it down without choking on it. Occasionally when he felt her having trouble swallowing the soup he would rub her neck, helping to naturally swallow the liquid. All in all it took him nearly two hours to get the entire bowl into her, spoonful by spoonful. Once he had he rest her head back upon the pillow and left, setting the empty bowl on the nightstand.
He stood for a time and pondered what else he could do to help. Unfortunately there was not a lot, if worse came to worse he could try entering her body and pulling her mind out of whatever stupor she was in. That had dangers though, in order to transfer out of the body he would need to be able to see through her eyes into the eyes of his current body, and if her body was truly paralyzed he would he trapped. He did not like the prospect of being trapped, it was the one thing he feared more than anything else. He swore to himself he would not chance it and sat, waiting for the woman to wake up. He truly did not want to test the resolve of his own word, and half prayed for the woman to rouse.

Aavard ignored the aches in his muscles as he forced himself to shift into beast once more, running as fast as he could manage. He didn't know what Daegal was talking about, but the king was usually right. He gripped the daggers tightly, willing the words that echoed in his head to be lies.
At last he came upon the high cliffs and the caves that were set into them. He didn't know which she was in, and began shouting her name as he returned to his human form, desperately searching the caves one by one.

Alistriona stirred in her sleep. She thought she heard Aarvard but dismissed the idea of it. Feeling slowly returned to her and with it the heightened sense that someone was watching her. Her eyes felt heavy and so she didn't try to open them. Her mouth was incredibly dry and it took a few swallows of her throat to get it working.
"Water" She said hoarsely. She cleared her throat again and said, "Water.", this time in a much clearer voice.

Son, Who resides in the body of...^*^The Guardsmen^*^ --------------------- Son had waited for some time when he heard the first signs of life elsewhere in the cave. He imagined they were some survivor of the battle, and given the way they were shouting they were probably hoping others had survived the battle. He did not know what he would do if the person came in and found him. He contemplated killing whoever it was, but then wondered if the woman he was tending to would feel better to know they were alive. Perhaps it would make her feel better if she knew not everyone was gone. He was preparing to go and look for whoever it was when the woman spoke for the first time since he had found her. His eyes widened, and he immediately went to her side.
At first he could not make out what she said, her voice was too hoarse. Her second attempt was clear though, and he understood. "Water" He blinked and then immediately stood, looking through the small collection of medicinal supplies stored here in their makeshift infirmary. It took him only a few seconds to find a flask, which he believed was water. He sniffed it first, and gave it a small taste to make sure it wasn't some medicine, and when he was satisfied he brought it to her and held it to her mouth, angling it so the water slowly slid to her mouth.
As he helped her drink he wondered what he would do if the other person now in the cave found them. If he was one of the woman's allies then he might attack him, as he was not one of them. If he was one of the woman's enemies, he might attack him, because he was helping her. Either way he was worried, he didn't want the woman to get hurt, and if a battle broke out in this small room there was a chance of that happening. He tried to think of a plan as he helped the woman recover.

Aavard climbed the steep, jagged cliffs on intuition. He climbed higher and higher, all the while worrying at her safety and the safety of his people. Where were they? Were they victorious? Had they all been slaughtered?
He hesitated on a ledge, the pit in his stomach growing. He put a hand on it gently and took a deep, steadying breath. "They're fine. This is more important right now. I can't help them. But, I can help Alice."
He continued climbing until he found himself at the mouth of the makeshift infirmary. Peering in quietly and cautiously, he saw a strange soldier nursing Alice. His blood boiled. He blocked the mouth of the cave in a threatening stance, feeling the wolf threatening to consume him.
"And just who the hell are you," he asked, his voice a loud, animalistic growl.

Orin considered this for a moment. "Well, I suppose we'll have to ask them for some of their spare uniforms. Perhaps a helmet, as well. But will this be enough to disguise us?" He looked up and halted, pointing ahead. They had reached a tall cliff face with many caves set into it.
He caught a glimpse of a man in torn, regal uniform with two long daggers entering a cave. "That must be the king. Come on, we need to get up there and make our plea."
Orin led the way to the cliffs and began the long climb up.

"If we wear wear something on our faces and maybe some cloaks that might be enough to disguise us." Keira said as they walked the trail for awhile until Orin stopped and said they had made it. Keira looked around than looked up to see the King. Just by is body language, Keira can see he looked furious. Than out of the corner of her eye she saw Orin climbing. "Wait Orin. He seems upset maybe we should wait for him to be in a better mood." She called after him. Keira fear what might happen talking to the angry king.

"Every moment we wait, John gets closer to death," he called down to her. He continued climbing further. "If you'd rather wait there, I can make the plea to him on your behalf."
He slipped and slid a little, but continued upward, the image of John's bloody face driving him forward.

Keira shutter at that very image of seeing John's lifeless body. Keira than worried for Orin as she holds him dear in her heart as well. She didn't want him to get lashed at by the rage of the King. Keira than jumped up and started climbing up at a decent speed. She caught up with Orin and smiled gently at him. "I'll go first and please Orin and stay behind me okay." She than focused as she reached close to the Werewolf king. "Hello your majesty?" Keira said without a fear in her tone but in her mind she was scared.

Son, Who resides in the body of...^*^The Guardsmen^*^ --------------------- Son turned slowly as he heard a voice come from behind him. He quickly recognized the man he had been brought to the day before, the leader of the people who had taken him in. Slowly he moved a finger to his lips. "Shh." He shushed him, then lowered the finger. "She has just awoken, and I must have quiet so as to hear what else she needs." He said in a whisper just loud enough to reach the man across the room. He had met the man the day before, and so didn't care if he did not recognize him, surely as he came to think about it he would come to remember.
He noticed another face poke in, one of a woman, asking for 'his highness.' "Go outside to talk you two, we must have silence in here." He waved his hand in a sweeping motion, shooing the two away to have their conversation in the hall as he watched over the woman that had just awoken, waiting patiently to see if she would happen to need anything else. He had waited for quite some time to see the woman awoke, and now that she finally had he found it rather perturbing that people happened to start arriving. He would have rather hoped that they either came while she was passed out or after she had fully recovered so that he could talk to them. As it was though she had just awoken and he didn't much feel like talking to them until he knew that she was well and not sick.

King Aavard snarled quietly and stabbed one of his daggers into the cave wall. "If you displease me, this will end up in your heart," he warned the stranger.
He exited the cave, motioning for the girl to follow. He caught her scent and quickly realized she was human. This could be an advantage or disadvantage, he mused.
"Well," he asked turning to her, "Who are you and why are you here? You'd better make it quick. We're in the middle of a battle."

Keira watched as the solider watch over a girl until he than finally spoke. She didn't like how this was going at all since the King was already upset and it looked like he made him even more madder than he should have been. Keira than turned as she helped Orin down from the cliff and followed after the King. After they walked some distance away from the cave, the King suddenly turned around and spoke but his tone didn't help Keira at all. She just hope that he has enough sanity to at least hear them out. "Hello your majesty, I am Keira from the Southern Isles, and I am here to plead for your help. I understand war is among us but my husband John is trapped in a place that me and my friend cannot reach. We need your help." Keira knelt down showing respect towards the King. All she wanted is help and to gain her husband back as she is worried that she maybe too late to save him.

Aavard sighed. He wanted to help her, but he had his own problems to deal with. They had to get into the Northern Kingdom and capture his cousin to put on trial for war crimes and high treason. They couldn't go some other direction just to help one man.
To be kind, and on the off chance he had some troops in that area, he asked, "And where might he be trapped, Miss Keira?"

Keira looked at Orin. "Please your majesty we will help you if we must if you can help us. My friend Orin can explain the situation better than I can." Keira smiled at Orin to help explain.
