She could tell he had been kind of sweating beneath the collar waiting for her response. But as the blush crept quickly across his face she could only laugh with a shake of her head.
"Weird s**t and aliens huh? Well I'm sure Destiny City doesn't lack for that." Personally, on her civilian side Vyth hadn't really come across much weird s**t. Well, nothing outside of her own little circle of weird s**t that she would see as abnormal.
Though on the flip side as a Senshi she'd seen and learned about quite a bit of stuff that regular people would think weird. Gabe would probably have a field day if he really knew. "Anything else you'd like to know?"

Gabe nodded. "Oh, it doesn't," he said. Of course, he'd missed out on most of it as a civilian, but as Natron...well. He was pretty sure that what he'd seen and done would blow Vyth's mind.
"Uhh, what else...In any clubs? At school or out of it? Secret societies...Though I guess you couldn't tell me if you were." Asking about secret societies was pretty standard fro him.

"Mmmm, nope. Not really in any clubs cept maybe my own little movie club from time to time. But nothing too serious or like obligatory." She blew a small puff of air from between her lips. Her bangs lifting up just slightly as she rested her chin on top of her hands with elbows on the table. Very unladylike for the moment. "Most clubs at Crystal are just clique clubs for different rich girls and their friends. There aren't really all that many serious club type clubs I guess."
Vyth blinked at the secret society question. Well, he was probably right in that aspect. Though honestly if she could tell him she wouldn't really have to kill him. At least she didn't. "Uhhhh how about favorite color or hey Vyth when is your birthday?" Giving him a toothy grin, Gabe seemed to ask all the eccentric questions but skirted around the more obvious ones.

Gabe nodded. "Ah, gotcha," he said. He supposed it made sense that clubs in a place like that would end up rather cliqueish, and hey, after school activities weren't for everyone.
Mundane, everyday questions tended to skirt him right on buy. He coughed awkwardly. Those were important things to know about one's date, weren't they. "Okay, what's your favorite color and when's your birthday?" Those were things to note, anyway; he might even get her a present.

"I'm not a complete stick in the mud though. I do enjoy knitting and watching tons of movies, but more often that not that's more of a just me thing. A lot of the girls at the dorms don't like my movie collection and vice versa." At least the movies she had there. They were her most favorite ones, some were even old black and white eight milometer films that played only on a special projector. Those movies were priceless.
She smiled at his cough. Apparently he realized what she had picked up on. "Red is my favorite color. And April twentieth. Now, favorite color, birthday annndddddd...." Her tongue skirted her upper lip as she looked towards the ceiling as if searching for an answer. "Uh, favorite music and/or band."
Out of the corner of her eye she spotted their waitress scurrying closer to their table with their drinks and bread.

"I would never have thought of you as a stick in the mud, don't worry about that!" Gabe said. "Besides, knitting and watching movies sounds pretty fun." Well, maybe not knitting. He had no idea how to knit.
"Red, April 20th, gotcha." He said, mentally marking them down. "Uhh, my birthday is March 3, my favorite color is brown," good old Earth color, "and...I don't really have a favorite band." He didn't listen to music often, just whatever was on the radio.

"Good!" She laughed. "Well, some would tell you knitting is not quite so fun. But its something I used to do with my great grandmother a lot so its a hobbie I've kept up with." Vyth loved knitting. Especially if she could knit for other people. "Maybe sometime you can come over to my place and we'll watch some moves. Of course, the best movies are the ones you make yourself."
Taking down mental notes herself she quirked a curious eyebrow. "Ahhhhh so you're one of those people who just listens to what the radio thinks you should listen to? You are so programmed and don't even know it."
Leaning back as the waitress finally approached the table, she eyeballed the girl briefly. Making sure she wasn't doing the roaming eyes thing. Taking a sip of her water after it was placed. The smell of the garlic bread was welcome. Surprisingly she was pretty hungry.

"Oh, well, it sounds relaxing at least, and it's a good memory for you, so." Gabe really wasn't in a position to judge other people's hobbies, considering his own involved a lot of tinfoil hats. And such. And of course was considered ridiculous.
He hated to think he was programmed in any way, shape or form, but, on this one... "Gonna have to concede that to you," he acknowledged. He wasn't very musically adventurous, unfortunately for him.
The waitress seemed to have gotten the idea form Vyth's previous deathglare, and was very focused on her job. She put down the drinks and appetizer. "Can I get your entree orders?" She asked cheerily.
"I'll take the baked ziti, please." Gabe replied.

It was indeed a good memory. Her father sometimes told her it was kind of silly to hold onto the past like that. Knitting honestly was not something that might get her far in life. He had his own ideals of what she should be doing to prepare for that future. And really knitting had no place.
But he was an all business man for the most part. At least since then.
She smiled brightly, taking another sip of her water. "Haha, its ok. We'll un-programme you soon enough. Then you'll have little to worry about." Vyth was glad that the waitress seemed to get the hint. She wasn't about to just sit there while the cheery little tart eye humped her man.
"And I will have the Pollo Picatta with Basmati rice, please." Sliding the menu across the table towards the waitress, she then unrolled her silver wear and folded the napkin in her lap before grabbing a piece of garlic bread and taking a bite. It was pretty good. "Lets see....what else then?"

Gabe grinned. "Well, I can't say no to that," he said. Not that he could say no to much when it came to Vyth, it seemed. Darn pushy, confident, gorgeous girl, shaking him up.
After writing down Vyth's order, the waitress scampere doff with a promise that their food would be right up.
Given his date's show of refinement, Gabe felt compelled to reciprocate and place his own napkin in his lap. It wasn't what he usually did, but, well, upscale restaurant, uptown girl, he might as well. He took a piece of bread for himself, taking a bite as he thought. "I dunno," he admitted finally. "I feel like I know most of the important stuff about you. Anything you think I should know?"

Again she laughed, though covering her mouth with the back of her hand as she had been chewing more bread. "You don't seem to say no to a lot of things. Is it just me or do you do that with everyone?" She waved the half eaten piece of bread at him. "You better be careful."
Dinner formalities were never big with her in truth. She only did little things here and there because it was something instilled in her at an early age. So really it was just habit. But she smiled as he put his own in his lap, pretty sure that it wasn't a natural habit for him like it was for her. At least he was trying and noticed which was good marks in her book. Gabe was observant most of the time.
"Hmmmmmm. Well, you certainly are the first person who hasn't asked me about my last name right away." It was seriously not the most common last name ever.

"I promise, it's mostly just you," Gabe said. That wasn't entirely true; he was usually pretty easily convinced to do things, as long as they weren't really truly bad.
"Your...last name?" Oh, right.
van Dread.
That wasn't really a normal last name. "Actually, yeah, I am kinda curious about that. You mentioned it got changed at some point; is it just a coincidence that it ended up van Dread, or was that on purpose?"

Just keep laying it on thick. Vyth's head might explode if it were possible. "Like I said, just be careful. I will try to keep my amazing super powers of persuasion under control as best I can. But I can't promise anything." Grinning.
Quickly she finished off the last of the bread that she had been eating. Wiping her fingers on her napkin in her lap. "On purpose." Vyth didn't mind recanting the story really. She had done it so many times and plus it was an interesting story none the less.
"One of my relatives had been a pioneering director and an occasional actor for some B Horror Movies. Ya know, the kind that were really low budget and had cheesy effects? He had never become extremely famous outside of a small following thought." She laced her fingers together. "When he came America many people had a hard time pronouncing the original family name of Dreadoskivoz so he decided to change it. Since he had a vested interest in Horror he picked van Dread. Ya know, kind of like how Rob Zombie changed his last name to Zombie? I guess it just kind of sounded cool to him or something. Anyway, the name was stuck, eventually that part of the family migrated back to Russia and well we've been van Dread ever since then. I don't really think there are many if any Dreadoskivoz remaining. Most married into other families or are part of the van Dread line."
Tilting her head slightly, she smiled. "Didn't bore you did I?"

"I'll be careful," Gabe agreed cheerily. Of course there were other people he would have to follow orders from, but hey.
He listened with interest to the story she told. He nodded along, and then shook his head. "Didn't bore me a bit, that's really neat!" He said. "And I guess that's where you get your interest in horror from?" He asked. As bad as he was at coming up with questions, he really did want to learn about Vythica. She was a pretty interesting person!

His cheerfulness wasn't one hundred percent reassuring, but either way. Hopefully if he was more aware he wouldn't run into many situations where he might get taken advantage of. Then there would be a problem and Vyth might have to but a heel to a face, not that she minded though. You don't ******** with people she cared about.
"Good. I know its a pretty long winded story and some people just don't have the attention span for it after they ask." With a small nod she took another sip of her water. "Well, it helped at least. I had always been interested in monsters and strange creatures when I was little. The feeling in the atmosphere around you when you could not see what was lurking in the darkness. That's the problem with horror movies made today. They are all about shock. A good movie centers around atmosphere, at least in my opinion." Chuckling lightly to herself, she set her glass down. Sometimes it was hard not to go off on a tangent. "My father has always seen my fascination as kind of childish. But he's rarely ever limited me when it came to expanding and furthering my interests."
