A fog seems to lift off the area surrounding the waterfall. Animal life seems livelier and the plants almost glow with healthy life.

Birdsong and chatter mixed forming a new song; the discordic bump of the cart along tree roots kept a beat. Occasionally Lana joined the song with a sigh but she was mostly silent as she lead the troupe cart through the trees.
Soon the light piano of falling water drowned out all noise and lana bought the cart to a stop a few yards from the falls.
"We will wait-" shreiks and squeals drowned out her voice. In cacaphony of sheiks and running feet, Lana found herself alone.
"Girls!" She cried.
The women her too busy stripping their clothes and leaping into the water to acknowledge her. Lana stomped to the water, mentally cursing he stupidity of human dancers as she went. It was one of the main reasons she preferred the succbi; they were manipulative and credulous but at the very least they had brains. Unlike the human dancers who were much like empty boxes wrapped in pretty paper.
"Did any of you hear Marco? Get out-ah!" Her shouting cut into a scream as a hand wrapped around her ankle and yqbked her into the water.
Freezing liquid gushed into her nose and mouth; the muffled sounds of laugther prewched her ears.
Steaming with anger hit enough to boil the water around her she surfaced spitting water and a litany of curses that made every woman fall silent.

A school of super-soft fluff fish swam over, holding the elementalist up so she wouldn't slip beneath the waters again. Vines slipped downward, well within reach for Lana to grab and pull herself out of the clear waters.

The girls continued to laugh and frolick; not a glanced was thrown her her direction. Then she felt something as plush as down gather beneath her feet holding her steady in the churning water. Vines dropped from above and Lana grabbed them thanking the whomever had thrown tum in her mind. Water fell from her body in a waterfall as she pulled herself from the water streaming if her soaked clothes and from the orange locks pasted to her forehead. The girls has not even moved in her direction. " All of you!" She sheirked a sound that pieced the air. Every pretty head turn. She jerked a pointed finger toward the cart. "Out. Now." For moment they stared and then ina chorus of grumbling began to obey. Lana waited tip they were huddled inside the cart and the went off to find her savior. "Hello? Anyone here?" One of the fish watched Lana from just under the water's surface as a couple of firalines walked by. The vines waved in a breeze, carrying the melody of the forest with it to her. It seemed there were no other human people around beyond her and her girls. That is, until a small being flew by with a basket on its arm. It landed nearby, gathering up some of the smaller aquatic flowers near the stream.

The fralines went unnoticed; a mixture if child-like wonder and intellectual curiosity filled her. With her eyes wide and her lips parted, she turned in a circle. Thoughts of her savior were drowned in a flood of beauty: water like liquid diamonds tumbling from rocks cover in vine son which blooms glistened with dew. Moss that was like down beneath her feet clothed the at her feet and the trees whose leaves were ripe in green. And from everything there was a pulse, like life coursed though the very air, like each atom held power. The sound of footsteps broke her enchantment – she turned, expecting to yell at her girls, but instead a long breath parted her lips even more. A creature shed never seen floated by, like a living dream. Curiosity brought life back into her stone limbs and she moved forward, placing each foot carefully before the other. She did not want to scare the mysterious being away. She stopped a few feet from it. “Hello?” Her voice was a feather, “Were…you the one that helped me? The being pointed to the falls. "Look at the spray, how it seems to shimmer a blue color as the light hits it? The falls are a powerful magical site. The blue means it's a good time to be here. So you get a dose of good luck while you're here. The power of the waterfall permeates the area and effects everything here. Makes things a little chaotic when the luck's tide turns, but I've seen some wondrous things happen here because someone came at the right time." Checking her basket, she smiled. "Just be sure to watch out for the warm colors of the spray. That means bad luck is coming."

"Oh..." Lana breathed her eyes wide as she gazed at the water dyed blue by the light,"So...what does a dose of good luck bring."
Her cheeks flushed red, "I hope it has something to do with pastries...mmm....a hot cinnamon roll sounds really delicious right now....or...what does happen when the calls give good luck? Or bad luck?"

"Traditionally, it's in endeavors and possible missions. It's not about things magically appearing at your whims." The being looked to the falls. "The waters of Fateful Falls cascade to their own plan. We can only benefit from that which it decides to grace us with." Smiling the being started to fly away. "May the falls glow purple and rain bright luck upon you," she called in leaving.

"Oh..." Lana muttered, her shoulders slumping as hopes of mountains of pastries and nothing but success for the troupe were shattered,"So its like a rolling a die..." He turned to look at the falls with eyes that were a less bright,"So do I just a....hey wait!" She had turned to find the being walking away, and by the time she opened her lips, the being was gone. She stood for a moment, hoping it would return, and when it didn't let out a long sigh. Now what? She thought, turning back to the falls. How do I get my good luck. She tapped her chin, pondering, and decided in the end, that if the falls could help her as they had earlier, they could surely hear her too. With that in mind, she approached the water, stripping her clothes as she went. When she stepped in - very carefully - the water seized her foot in ice. Voice and body chattering she called, "Oh great and magical falls, if you have any...good luck, or anything to bestow on me please do so...oh and...thanks for saving me earlier."

Yet another lie, Marco hurried forward, a pace that would allow Athena to follow but not walk at this side; he needed a few moments to breathe. Seeing Athena again had unleashed ghosts he though he had banished. He closed his eyes and let out a breath; it did nothing to banish the spirits haunting his mind.
The sigh that left his lips was drowned by the crash of falling water. The falls fell in a blue sheet before him.

As the sun began to fall, the light from the spray of the falls seemed to shimmer and change, taking more of a yellow hue than the earlier blue they held. The trees around the area started to go quiet, becoming rather disturbing in the sudden lack of noise.
