Again voices drifted by and Jerry stirred. He had dozed off again as he waited for his Fear Shield to help take away the sting of pain. He wasn't sure what was part of the dream or reality, but suddenly words registered, key words... GODZILLA and HOSTILE and arguments and tension...

It was a good thing that Roar was about as exhausted as the hunter, as he shot upright and the bazooka appeared, it was just one of the uninhabited cots beside the reptilian monster that was crumpled in a burst of green light and sound.

It wasn't until the dust was settling did he notice the faces of the other injured around him. "It was comin' right at us!" He slurred, half out of it still, in his defense.

The important thing was he was awake again.

And that was how Leon knew Jerry was all right.

Harrison narrowed his eyes, and looked sharply- as sharply as he could without turning too fast- at the other tent entrances.

A kid. He thought he'd recognized the girl in the fog. They were kids, their kids, or what was left of them, after they'd gotten all...blown up and foggyized.

"She shoulda made a different career choice," he muttered, keeping an eye out in case the other bastards were sneaking in here to pick them off while blabby looked scared and waved an olive branch.

Man this axe guy...

Bul was far too exhausted and scared to exchange threats. Quick. Quick think, how would a Trick or Treater handle this? "And that same doll would do the EXACT same thing to me at first sight right now," Bul responded calmly, not cockily, but calmly. "it doesn't matter how many times you try and 'destroy' her right now, this fog works as a single unit that regenerates." In part, Bul was learning something too right now, as he had the chance to think clearly on it.
"You go back out there and you're going to be fighting the same battle over and over again until you're too tired to even breathe." his eyes went to the others who were injured-

Consequently to Jerry's trigger happy wake-up, the boil actually scrambled to the floor like the lizard he was. "if... If I can finish saying..." he started, shakily. "You guys implanted something in my ghoul friend. And if you knew anything or have been doing any of your weird survalencing, you would know that she wants to help you guys with the horseman problem... And.." he trailed off. He couldn't stomach saying that just yet. "And then we'd rather not ever deal with you guys or Amityville or horsemen ever again."

Jude stumbled and tripped his way along up until he made it to the tent looking more than just a little bit ruffled up. As he pushed his way into the tent he looked around, "Oh, I see you all met Spike," he said his tone pretty much dry and deadpan as can be. He was a bit behind as to what was going on other than the air was tense and he knew the meeting was going along better than a family reunion in a soap opera (no one has discovered their evil twin yet, hopefully).

He kind of made his way to a spot he could rest on for the time being with a sigh. If he had to he'd help Bul out. Grudgingly. Since Bul helped him and ...

..Stuff.

So the fog wasn't just hostile to them but to the freaks aswell. That was interesting. A common enemy. Maybe they could get them on their side, deal with the insanity and then get rid of the other problem right after, a neat and tidy little backstabbing. Then it would just be the remaining horsemen between him and retirement in Vegas. He liked the sound of that.

Reguardless, he did give Tracey a testing heft, just in case. It'd probably only take one good swing...

<Stop it William or I'll... I'll.. hmmm. I'll show you horrible things> There was a flicker of a replayed memory and Rep's expression went grim.

He put the axe back down.

Talking it was instead then.

"So we go back out, we get chewed up again. What exactly you proposing we do instead? Cause I'm ******** listening. " Everything about his insufferably smug demeanour said impress me as he fought back the stabbing agony of the gash on his back to stand upright and tilt his head back to look down his nose at the boil.

"Though I'm betting anything you suggest is a ******** trap."

Jerry dimly took things in until his brain caught up with his injuries and he hissed under the weight of Roar on his mangled shoulder. If Rep had put down his weapon.... He lowered the cannon, but it was a comforting weight on his lap. His hand shook as he pushed his glasses up his nose. A common enemy? It was complicated, too complicated for comprehension just then, but he was catching up. "If it is a trap, we have a hostage in any case."

Roar kept his glowing green eyes aimed on Bul.

Gale, already in a horribly bad mood, stomped into the tent several moments after Jude and looking as though he had had better days.

"It's not a trap," he snapped irritably, coming in at the tail end of the conversation, and desummoning Jinhai, reaching up to pull the scarf away from his throat and drop it haphazardly onto the nearest surface. He pushed his sweat dampened hair away from his face, turned around and scowled, his arms folded across his chest.

"He's not going to do anything."

leon couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Jude's statement. hat made two so far. "You're not joking, eh Jude, Gale, Deryk?" the life hunter drawled out, mulling it over in his head glumly.

It took all of ten seconds before he lurched up and slowly walked over to the half beast, clenching his side at the effort used to do so. "And you, we have your oath that you aren't here to attack/ trick us right now?" he asked in a serious, stone faced and everything.

If they were having this much trouble with it and so were the nasty creatures from Amity, a common enemy and extra resources for dealing with it wouldn't be half bad.

Plus a chance to see their fighting capabilities not from an enemy perspective.... it was a once in a blue moon chance.

"Swear it by god or you'll be leaving here in pieces, evaporated pieces if need be.

Thank JACK Gale was here now. Bul would've gone over to stand by the hunter but he was perfectly fine standing right there where the others could see him from every angle.

"I'm not smart enough to set up a trap. I'm also not a good decoy, let me tell you. It would take someone as conniving as a horseman to set something up like that."

Offering Rep a nervous smile, he held his hands up and wrapped his tail around himself. "The bazooka guy is right okay? I walked in here on my own. Otherwise I'd be left behind on my own. At that point we'd certainly be meeting under different circumstances. Your leader guy, the Caelisomethingrather was powerful enough to subdue the fog where we were and we made it back here. The only male missing from the group actually ran off on his own so... I think that he (Cael) may be able to do something about the... Whatever thing that is feeding off of us and the house." the other thing Cael had mentioned frightened him... And he decided to avoid mentioning the spread of the 'disease.'

That was when Leon stormed up beside him. A shiver went down the boils' spine. "g.. God? I uh..." Bul looked legitimately confused. "wait are you wanting me to... Swear on Jack? Because I swear on the unlike of Jack that I'm not here to trick or attack you." Surely the hunters would take a swear on Jack right?

As much as he just wanted to keep faking unconsciousness, Robert's curiosity got the best of him. Everyone was acting like they'd just let a leper into the tent.. which made him guess there was a monster in the midst. So he opened just one eye, and took a peek.

Then he closed it.

Yup. That was a monster. Nasty looking one too, why couldn't one of the girls come and wave the white flag?

Still, he almost felt sorry for the kid. The hunters were acting like his friend, for common interests, and all that. But the moment a superior sauntered into the room, that spiky lizard was headed to the weapons chamber.

Robert's face returned to peaceful 'sleep'. Like hell was he getting reprimanded for playing sympathetic.

Deryk bit his bottom lip as he looked from hunter to hunter. This wasn't going too well, and he was just about to try and stand between them and the kid when thankfully Jude and Gale came into back him up. He let out a breath of relief, though he still wasn't too happy about this. Bul still shouldn't have followed them here.

"I... I think the fog is getting stronger," he chimed in, trying to change the topic a little, "On the way here, it grabbed me. Wasn't one of the beasties. Just.. the fog. Twisted limbs and disembodied eyes... trying to drag me 'home'. Cael mentioned that something's changed too.. should.. be.. here soon.. Ithink.."

Matt didn't really know what was going on outside of the tent and didn't really have the time to stick his head out and check. Not that he wanted to admit that his skills with the spear were not his particular best at the moment but something about the tent was rather comforting leaving whatever was outside undesired.

It reminded him of a job he never had gotten to.

Jordan cautiously pushed himself off the cot, ignoring the stabs of pain in his shoulder and neck. The general consensus seemed to be that they weren't going to kill the monster. Even the more hot-headed among the group had been at least temporarily convinced. "I don't know how Caelius will react to you being here," he said to the lizard-like creature. "He may be able to do something about the fog, God only knows how, but he's not known for his merciful outlook."

He looked around thoughtfully, then back to the creature. "Is there a similar rest area for your kind? If the fog's attacking you as well and you have no place to go, there's got to be a lot of you dissipating."

Rep wanted to sit down again, pretty ******** badly. But he didn't, it was about presenting a strong front to the enemy. So he stayed standing, leaning just a bit heavier than usual on Tracey's handle. He didn't make any more threats though just narrowed his eyes at the death hunters assuring them that the lizard thing wasn't a threat. It bothered him, as far as he was concerned everything from that ******** world was an absolute threat, an unnatural thing that deserved nothing more than a weapon embedded in their head.

Cael had helped a bunch of the freaks? That was what he could gather from the fact that this guy had seen Cael subdue the fog yet was back here. Unless he'd dissapated, though it hadn't really been phrased that way. He frowned deeply.

Jordan though made him raise a brow at his train of thought - he'd been listening at the lecture after the attack on the horsemen and acutely remembered the description of the nature of cores. When your job was destruction you took a very special interest in the weaknesses of your enemies. Repeated destabilisation of their cores caused s**t to go wrong right? He could hardly remember. Still, if they had no place to recover and were just dying left and right, that would explain perhaps why so many of the ******** things were going insanity mode.

"Which is ******** stupid given the nature of this s**t."
