LoveByLetters

The old soldier's words can't help but add fuel to the tickling in Eluf's stomach, making the blissful smile on his lips remain intact. It was almost a shame, really, that his parents were to be gone by the time Macaire would come to his home.. he was certain they'd like such a fascinating man like himself! Though then father would probably want to hire him... chuckling internally. And that chuckle softly escapes him as the large man makes clear sense of the reasoning for their now missing meal. Yes... if they'd paid attention to the guardian.. but how could he when Macaire was acting the way he was! So entrancing~

He did note Macaire watching him, but... didn't mind. It of course made him blush a little again, but he was able to maintain his composure for the most part. Another little sip was taken, before the bottle was placed down beside the both of them, so that the soldier could have some, a little hand lifting to smooth back some of his auburn, silky curls that escaped the loose ponytail's ribbon. It's then that he recalls he'd brought his satchel full of pictures, and his stories... suddenly embarrassed to show them to someone as great as the soldier beside him. Making a slight glance towards the leather bag, he pays all his attention back onto his company and the cheese being sliced. He watches the thick fingers skillfully work the wedge, with knife in hand, peeking shyly up to the man's face from time to time, before picking up a piece of the cheese to nibble on. He had so many questions, but most that... might not be appropriate to ask... So he tried to veer to those that might be more suitable, yearning for knowledge of this man that had him so attracted to, "How far is your homeland from Sunderland?" he asks softly, allowing his gaze to rest on the other man's eyes, "Is it far from here?" geography wasn't his most strong suit, unfortunately... Though he'd been schooled and educated by top professors, having lived here all his life had him still a bit naive to just how big the world they lived in really was!
