"That's what gets me the most... Mum hasn't been around in awhile... I'm worried dad is trying to replace her..." He made a face to let the world know how he felt about that Idea. "I was just so... angry at him... We fought about it... and he whopped my butt... AGAIN..." He shook his head.
Hi frowned and shook his head. He knew he had no place to comment on this, really... He had nothing much he could say to Chae to help.

Ivy sighed, "That's awful. I'm sorry baby." She kissed his cheek and stroked his hair. "I hope you don't discard me for a younger model too." She thought better after saying this, but he did need to cheer up. His father's life was his own, they just had to be there for his mom.

Chae visably winced when she said that and he murmured. "I really hope you think I'm better than that..." He said softly before leaning more into her. "I wouldn't ever dream of doing that to you... I am so... ANGRY at him... I could just... spit..." He said with a sigh.
Hi nodded his head slowly and he winced as well at what Ivy said. But he downplayed it as a stretch. "Well, might I suggest giving yoru father a bit of space... Maybe he'll come to his senses..."

Ivy looked up at him, "No, of course I don't think you would or could do that..." She knew that he was going to be upset so she tried to steer away from that, "Your father is a smart, kind, pae, so maybe Hi is right?" She wasn't sure though...she couldn't believe a pae would leave another that they had loved for a different one. She hoped it didn't have to do with being an elder. Myze was an elder while Signis wasn't just like Chae and her.

Chae shrugged. "I don't know why he did... All I know is mum's been gone for a long time... and dad's been going crazy about it..." He sighed and snuggled more into Ivy. "Just promise me you'll never leave for a long time..." He sighed, he knew that he shouldn't ask her that, seeing as he himself had done that to her not all that long ago.
Hi Just bowed his head, he felt a bit out of place, like this should be a moment for just the two of them, but he did not dare leave yet, it woudl be rude either way.

Ivy poked Chae in the side, "Oh, now you are the thinking things taht I wouldn't do." She teased him, "I love you too much to leave you." She kissed his cheek and then looked back at Hi, "Oh, I'm sorry we're being really rude." This topic wasn't something they should really really discuss in front of company.

Hi chuckled and waved his hand. "It's alright..." He shook his head slowly, "I've delt with stranger situtations, trust me... I still have been giving advice to a certain Pae since that day..." He realized of course that they wouldn't know what he was talking about. "I once helped out a young man with his relationship problems, and I'm giving him parenthood advice..."
Chae chuckled and looked at Hi. "You should be talking to my father then, he could probably use it..." He shook his head.

Ivy nodded, she really didn't know what he was talking about so she didn't comment. "You guys want to do something?" She felt that Hi and Chae were getting bored, not that adult and elder paes played games...but hey maybe they could do something?

Hi chuckled. "If you and your husband are up to it... I would not mind a walk..." He chuckled. "I haven't had a simple walk in a long while..." He smiled.
Chae chuckled and bowed his head. "I'm up to a walk... Ivy?"

Ivy smiled, "Sure that sounds rather nice." She stood up and waited for Chae to join her, "Any destination you have in mind?" Ivy didn't really care where they went, the whole island was beautiful in her opinion.

Hi smiled and bowed his head. "How about you lead," He chuckled with a bow as he stood, moving out of her way. "I'm sure you know of places I do not..."
Chae smiled and stood, cuddling up close to Ivy. "Lead and we will follow love," He murmured, taking her larger hand in his.

"Um, ok..." She wasn't really sure where to lead them. Ivy held Chae's hand and walked out the front door. "I guess will just go where the wind takes us." She smiled and started to head north out of the Fae Clearing.

Hi chuckled. "That works for me," He bowed his head and smiled. "I tend to do that when I patrol sometimes, just go wherever I go..." He laughed.
Chae smiled and nodded, following Ivy's lead as she walked, letting her chose the path.

"Well, I'm sure the forest and other plants can lead us somewhere nice." She had noticed that the trees had moved a bit to make a path for the three of the to walk through. She looked up and nodded a thanks in their direction. SHe wondered where they would end up?

Hi smiled. "The plants care for you and will guide you where they feel you are needed..." He bowed his head a bit. "Such is the life of an elder..." He laughed a little and shook his head, "And here I am getting all preachy..."
Chae laughed a little and shook his head. "No Hi, that's not preachy, trust me, I know preachy..." He smiled at Ivy and nodded his head. "I'm sure they'll lead us somewhere nice..."
