While traveling one day, he met a sheltered princess of a mare named Cynthia. Since she wasn't used to bartering, she had no idea what to exchange for the vanilla flower that she wanted. Naveen proposed that she travel with him to the mountains as payment for that and any other vanilla flowers they found along the way. She agreed, and they traveled together for several months. Once at the mountains, they ran into a dragon who demanded two purple badgers as payment for staying in his cave. In doing so, they found the dragon to be much more friendly than they'd expected. The next morning they expressed the mutual feelings of love that had slowly developed between them. They became mates and settled in the valley below the mountain, though Naveen still travels on short trips out of the mountains to continue his trade. On one such trip, he came back with a foal he picked up from Longwei, their dragon neighbor, who told him she'd been abandoned by her parents when they saw him and fled. So he took her to Cynthia, seeking her consent to be the foal's parents. She readily agreed, though they also decided to search for little Acacia Winter's real parents at her sorrowful calls for her mother. Naveen found the parents, but was unsatisfied. The mother was still in shock from her encounter with the dragon, and was barely able to take care of the foals she already had. The father attempted to make the merchant buy his daughter if he wasn't going to bring her to them. Disgusted, Naveen left without another word and returned home. He declared to Cynthia that he would never forgive himself if he left Acacia with her real parents. And so they officially adopted the filly as their own. After several months and an enchanting adventure in the mountains involving a dragon and purple badgers, they became mates. Her herd believed that she was a bad omen because her mother died in childbirth--and she was the foal who "broke" her. She was allowed to follow the herd, but no one was allowed to make contact with her. They didn't speak to her, they didn't touch her. But she could hear them. Their harsh, judgmental words, warnings to their foals not to go near her. She didn't speak herself; she didn't want to sound like those horrible horses. One day she just couldn't keep up. She stopped to rest before they did. And that's when she heard a voice unlike any other she'd ever heard. It was soft and kind, a musical voice. She was nuzzled, the first contact she could ever remember having with another Azrien. The stranger captivated her. and she automatically followed his voice. It led her back to her herd. There was apologizing and then an argument. The stranger had touched her, something that her herd thought to be bad luck for him. She was a curse, not to be touched until adulthood when the curse would no longer affect others. Ridiculous, the stranger objected. She was just a child; there was nothing wrong with her. There was, however, something wrong with how they treated the filly. The arguing continued for a long time, and eventually, the nameless foal fell asleep. When she woke up, she discovered another body next to her, a wing draped over her body to help keep her warm. The voices of her herd were gone; only the stranger remained. He spoke kindly to her, gave her a name. Ca Thu Thi - the first autumn poem. She clamped her teeth around his ankle as he got up; he simply laughed and encouraged her to follow him. So she did. And any time she met a new Azrien, she would bite their ankles, her way of determining how safe they were to be around. She met several Azrien this way--and introduced the stranger to them. Some were loud; others were so quiet, even Ca had trouble hearing them. But above all else, she wanted to be with the stranger who'd saved her, who'd shown her the love she was lacking. He was gone often, but he promised he would come back. And he always did. One day, the stranger, her new father that was called Punk C.A.B. by others, brought someone home with him. This mare was different than the other Azrien that Ca had met. Melda was gentle and loving like her father was, and the two of them instantly bonded. That winter with the two she deemed her parents was the happiest of times. It broke her heart to see her mother leave, and she could tell that it broke her father's heart as well. When spring came and she discarded her blanket, Punk began training her. It wasn't long before she was not only able to walk but to run and fight as well. Still, her father was worried about her safety. So he began searching for more places for her to stay, hidden away from other Azrien. As an adult, she traveled north in search of the mother that had never returned as she originally planned. Instead, however, she found a fiery stallion named Paimon, whom she soon grew fond of. They later mated, and, after saving Paimon's Chosen from Ruin, settled on a hill on the edge of Aila's farm to recover from the injuries from the short fight with Ruin. It was here that she first met her future Chosen, Manga. Ca spent several months trying to discover the source of the strange feeling that Manga gave her. She loathes being in his presence and once attacked him--and shielded by Sumac from his resulting attack. Sebastian Leowe - Paimon's Chosen. Despite her wariness around humans, she protected him from Ruin. Ruin - Paimon's father. Fought against him to protect Sebastian, but was severely injured in the fight. Ca hates him intensely. Aila - A human healer that helped tend to Ca's wounds after her fight with Ruin. Despite her general wariness around humans, Ca trusts her. Her "sound" is that of a warm breeze blowing through a field of grain. Princess Soyala - A prissy mare that Ca once had a duel with--and won against in a brutal fight. Needless to say that they don't get along.

 Name: D'von Origin/Meaning: N/A Nicknames: Dev, Horn-Boy, Fangface Gender: Male Alignment: Evil Temper: Reckless Chosen: None Records: An instinctively impulsive stallion that has been forced to put a lid on his "recklessness" by his mother. He was trained from foalhood to be a manipulative sweet-talker, and as such he is very good at hiding his true intentions and emotions. After escaping his mother's control, D'von wandered the south until he met Arachnae, who'd accidentally traveled too far south--and got herself into trouble (part of which was him). Through these events, however, he developed a protective instinct towards her. They initially got along horribly, but D'von obeyed the instinct and secretly fought off stallions that had tailed them and kept her warm at night. He even fought off Ruin and sent him running, though was severely injured from the fight. Before they reached the designated destination, D'von finally confessed his feelings and the two became inseparable. Coming north introduced him to apples and other fruit, which he loves eating almost as much as meat. The duel ended when D'von went berserk, inflicting enough damage on Ruin to make the fire-wielder flee. D'von vowed to resume training so that he would always be strong enough to protect Nae as a result of the battle.

He named Acacia and entrusted her to Naveen, deeming him and Cynthia better caretakers for the young foal than he was. Lysander - Pending... Mibu - A quirky deity that Acacia met before Cedomir. Although he offered her knowledge about her future, she was more interested in him than asking questions about herself. Cedomir - A stallion that Acacia met when he was still a foal. He quickly grew infatuated with her and, despite misunderstandings and apparent disinterest, the two began dating. Deldragan - Cedomir's brother. Although he's a bit awkward, Acacia appreciates his efforts to help her understand Cedomir and his patients with both his brother and her. Damir - Cedomir and Deldragan's father. She's only met the stallion briefly a few times, but he seems very nice. Brise "Stark" Valko - A stallion who joined Acacia and Naveen on their travels, along with his half-brothers and mate.
